it's just repairs, it'll be back in 4 years.
it's the equivalent of the empire state lifts not working, you can just watch it on the internet.
it will still ring every New Year and Remembrance Sunday. so stay tuned for more of its magnificent ding dongs

I used to live in London, and I woke up every morning to that sound. I love it's chimes and I miss it.
I'm not British but this is very emotional for me. Since my childhood my brother told me this was gonna happen. And big ben always had a special place in my heart. It evoked curiosity of mechanics in me as a little child.
I remember crying watching this live and i had turned 15 a month before this happened. I’m nearly 21 now and I’m glad Big Ben is back

I just grew up seeing baby's day out or some disney movie and we discussed about this clock when we saw it in movies and then discussed how it will stop. We also only discussed it once, so maybe you misinterpreted my English 😂
