Concerning Rockn Rollercoaster...I think rethemeing it to cartoon Cruella Deville would be more appropriate since her car was a super stretch limo as well, AND she's a villian
Villain show going next to Rockin' Roller Coaster, a new Little Mermaid show coming to animation courtyard, plus Disney Junior dance party packs them in still. That only leaves me with the Muppet courtyard, Muppet Vision 3D is always an empty house
There was never any chance there were going to destroy a popular Roller Coaster to build Monstropolis. the whole goal is to increase capacity and make it more of a full day park, that doesn't happen if you take our a D ticket ride. They will reskin at some point soon
A Descendants-themed Roller Coaster over Rock’n Roller Coaster would be awesome. I thought after they announced the Villains show for DHS, they would retheme the coaster and get licenses to artists that have that “dark or gothic” vibe to their music, one I was thinking of was Billie Ellish. Yeah I literally was lol
I would like for Rockin Roller Coaster to be rethemed to be about the history of rock music from the 50's all the way up to today. Not only could it provide much more fun visuals, but it would also be more in line with Hollywood Studios' attempt at timeless theming (outside of the IP dumping).
I wouldn’t read too much into the Villains show. Villains land won’t open until 2030 at the earliest. That gives the Villains show a 5-year life (which is the same timeline as the Queen of Hearts show in the Paris studio). These are placeholders until Disney is ready to do something bigger. Expect to hear a major retheme of the Rock ‘n Roller Coaster area at D23 2028.

Interesting. A thought: what if this is actually Disney listening to their fans and rethinking of where they put a villains land?? (What if villains moves to Hollywood Studios?) This area is close to Tower of Terror I believe. So imagine them reimagining Twilight Zone Tower of Terror into a Maleficent theme. Despite popular belief, they have listened to fans in the past. The rock n rollercoaster starts starring Aerosmith will likely be reimagined to a Disney I.p. as George mentioned. Make it villains theme.
The descendants idea is cool. The actual fan base ranges from Gen Alpha to early/mid 20 Gen Z as the first movie came out in 2015. To the “You’re not replacing anything of value” comment… the Feature Animation buildings are Disney history. Cast members work and create there. A guest might not see it as valuable but it’s a home to the people who keep the magic going. The decision isn’t just a no brainer and it isn’t wise strategy to make decisions based on short term reactions/opinions.

Shows come and go all the time. This show will be gone in 2 years. I think the space is still on the table
I wonder how expensive it would be for them to move Muppets, brick by brick, to a new location in Hollywood Studios?
A lot more expensive than it would be to build a duplicate elsewhere, possibly twice as ecpensive
