Would like to see this video concept expanded into a plussing the parks series. Analyze each of the U.S. Disney parks by land and say what you would add, change, or remove. Consider how the changes would improve the land, the park, and the resort.
I just moved out to Orlando for Data Analytics at UCF, working on locking up my Universal Creative position. I will tell you how. Once Epic opens, they will shift to replacing Simpsons with Pokemon. We are going to see Nintendo take second wheel to Harry Potter at Universal. I hope they go all out & I think they will. As much as I appreciate MIB, its time to move on. You have the fear factor space too. That new Pokemon land will bring people from all over the world to Orlando. & the Universal creatives are at the top of their game, i'm not even concerned with how incredible this land will be. In IOA, they are replacing Lost Continent with Zelda. I am not.a Zelda guy, but it is aesthetically pleasing and will be cool either way. Kinda like how I feel with Avatar. I am so excited for phase 2 of epic. Luigi's Mansion and more so, the creature from the black lagoon. A darker version of Jaws. I uprooted my life, left my beautiful villa in Palm Beach to work on this e ticket.
I love the idea of the Beetlejuice dark ride that would be amazing, also adding a F And F rollercoaster would be incredible along with Back to the Future
I am going to pushback and say that IOA is fantastic and probably Universals best park. The park was originally built with a storyline putting all land together! All lands are based on books… So I don’t want to see this park being ripped apart just because an up is “outdated”. People still read Seuss, they still make mediocre adaptations. The land did see some small but important upgrades: new paint, new menu for circus and the reopening of green eggs and ham; removing the high in the sky Seuss trolly train ride would be like removing the peoplemover. Overhaul I am scared for the future of this park as it approaches its 25th
Agreed. I think Seuss is truly timeless and Universal replacing it would be short sighted. They need to double down. Refurb Cat in the Hat and add a Grinch ride!
I really love all these ideas, especially the idea of bringing the Jurassic World Beijing E-Ticket attraction to replace River Adventure. I would also see Marvel Super Hero Island and its attractions entirely getting a major refurb as well
Guys, here's a crazy proposal: The Jurassic Park/World franchise is so huge for Universal and it is underserved by the situation at IOA. Fixing it all is difficult. But there is a massive expansion pad at Epic Universe between the Wizarding World and How To Train Your Dragon. What if they started from scratch and built the "epic" Jurassic World land everyone wants. This would also add something missing from Epic Universe, which is a tropical/jungle vibe. And with another massive IP it would make that park very much the challenger of Magic Kingdom as best park in Orlando. Then...do the one thing that will guarantee a surge of visitors to IOA, which is expand on Harry Potter. Transform much of the Jurassic Park area to include a Great Hall restaurant (next to Hogwarts as expected), and add "The Burrow" (Weasley house) and Quidditch World Cup. The Velocicoaster would be re-themed as The Dark Mark with a Dementors theme (the coaster cars looking like Dementors flying around the sky...maybe even with fabric tails that flap around). I think people would get pretty excited about that.
Be cool is Universal Studios sold official private labeled Hot Wheels cars for the Delorean, Ecto-1, KITT, A-Team van, Miami Vice Ferrari, Fast and Furious…etc. Kids (parents) and Collectors would buy it up!
6:25 I personally really think they should do a Beetlejuice dark ride or coaster/ land at the studios, possibly replacing Simpsons. Or maybe replacing Rockit or Supercharged. The sequel has been well received and done super well in the box office opening weekend!
Great video guys, so many cool ideas! The Simpsons really has little value to Disney, they can't use it in their "flywheel" approach because it is so "off brand" for them tonally. If Disney ends up owing Comcast, say, $5 billion more for Hulu...what if they paid Comcast by handing over The Simpsons, which I've seen valued at $12-$13 Billion. This could be a win-win because it's not valuable to Disney, there may not be any "buyers" for it (if Netflix and Amazon don't want it), and by taking over the brand Universal could keep Simpsons in the park, saving money to redevelop other areas.
Ghostbusters coaster, where the train is the Ecto-1 and the fire station is the queue/launch. Traverse New York and bust ghosts with colored water cannons
Pokemon Land and A new Back To The Future Ride better than the previous can even be Test Track inspired but then simulator at the same time.. uh oh new Cars Land ride system!
Took my girl to HHN for her first time last night. I go every year. But this is the year of Beetlejuice. He was nowhere in the parks, no house. We had a Ghostbuster's house! but no Beet. Beetlejuice should've been the HHN Icon this year, we should've had a house, a scare zone. I love the blumhouse stuff but what are we doing here? MISSED opportunity. I found myself dying for Beetlejuice all night lol
We'll look on the bright side. With a whole year to work on the next one, it will probably be a bit better themed now that everyone has had time to enjoy the sequel.
Admittedly, it's ok to be upset with a theme park closing a favorite ride whether you think the replacement is better or not. I feel though that while Disney can be a bit clingy with many of their attractions it shows a little more restraint than Universal that replaced 90% wholesale of their classic attractions whether they were still good or not. There have been many good attractions afterwards, so the pushing forward mentality still has merit to stay up with the time. It's just hindsight that we see how many of those franchises like Ghostbusters, Beetlejuice, and Back to the Future were evergreen this many years later while replacements like Fast & Furious and Jimmy Fallon feel more and more like the cheap trends that they were.
If Universal does a Lord of the Rings land - they can just have my house. I would spend all my money there. But that story is so huge with so many areas that would need to be included, they kinda need a new park to fit it. No half assing that franchise. It deserves more than a ride or two.

Much agreed on Race through New York starring Jimmy Fallon. It’s a really cool family attraction. Not complicated but funny and fun.

Well spiderman got an hd upgrade on its screens and hulk got a retracking. So I don't know what else they can do for that island

Hey O.G! With Universal Hollywood having a Dungeons and Dragons night, do you think they’ll expand with a DnD land?
