@@foxunorthodox5262 ppl stayed real quiet waiting for this morning’s update and there was a reason for that world events are dope! I just want them to nerf the world serpents surprise attack it undodgable
its boring cuz theres no incentive to do it other than saintsworn and getting 1 or 2 specific items. also the fact that the relic drops r mid so there's no point returning to the event after u get what u want
@@foxunorthodox5262 world events are great! They bring the server together to fight something that is extremely difficult to solo without force your way and still is even with the talent I just think they should have them drop one relic that people really want because I begun to see more people ignore them as they have began to get the items they want
One thing I would like in deepwoken is more lore/story based content like storylines and stuff similar to the duke quest but more fleshed out. And for each faction there could be a storyline that after you finish you get a reward that has to do with that faction like for example to obtain lifeweave instead of going to a random trainer in the map and do some menial task, you would do the hive storyline that revolves around the faction and their lore and you have to help the aratel hivelord by doing the lore based story and there could be different paths that define who your character is But something like that to where you actually get rewarded for wanting to engage with the world and its lore instead of the game being a chime of conflict simulator after you finish your build. Sry this is kinda long but pretty much I want the game to be a bit more immersive
my main gripe with deepwoken nowadays is the repetitiveness, but not bc “oh it’s boring and lacks direction” but more of “look it’s a new broken weapon I have to learn how to parry” as someone who has only played for a little over a year (started in hallowtide 2023) and is still learning the game, it’s just irritating when I read the weekly update and see “+new legendary weapon” because I know it’s going to take me the entire week to learn how to counter it, and by then the next weapon of the week is out and the cycle repeats; it’s even worse when I miss a week and have to play catchup (I found out the new greataxe from enmity bleeds two bars the hard way), bc unlike a lot of people in this community I haven’t mastered the well-established content nor do I have the time to do so I understand deepwoken is a difficult game but something about this trend never sat right with me; I wondered for a while why the learning curve for this game felt like it was getting harder but im fairly certain that this is the reason why; it’s harder to learn when you’re being suffocated by textbooks, especially when the textbooks are also trying to slice you in half
i 100% agree with it being hard to parry but also consider this: if the game was more grounded and less over the top, would that really be a problem? do you have a hard time parrying the weapon or the insane crits it comes with? im a firm believer that the game is flawed because it lost direction. i wish yall newgens (no hate) knew what the game was like in verse 1, even before in prerelease.
@@rkon7629 i dont really have issues parrying the weapons, the issue is the time i had to put in to figure out how to do it (deepspindle, for example, took me 3 weeks to get used to); i personally think all the weapons are pretty cool and its impressive that they can be made this quickly, but its just too much at once; i can deal with a shifting meta and a new weapon every so often, but dealing with that every single week just feels like an unnecessary struggle ive seen some verse 1 gameplay and i actually try to anchor my playstyle around m1's and mixups rather than mantra combos, because if i really wanted to just press 1, 2, 3, and 4 for an hour i would go play battlegrounds games with my brother
I feel like even WITH the removal of needing to hunt down freshies, people still do it just for the sake of ruining the experience of others. Having a vip server gamepass at a fair price would curb this issue, but arch can't hope to disappoint his crowd that does or enjoys doing this. On top of this, most servers that deepwoken hosts often just doesn't include eastern timezones, so you're forced to fight enemies in 800+ ms or die slamming your head against the wall hoping for one that is EST.
I liked it. And then they stopped caring. If they really did care, each "optimization" from weeklies should do something. Every update, every time, it gets laggier. Why? You want to know the root of all the problems? Shrine of Order. Shrine of Order literally ruined the game, and they're afraid to remove it because it would create a massive imbalance throughout every build if they do so. They added it in the game as a joke, but they forget that players are ultimately smarter than the developers. Since they never play the game like actually, there was a massive oversight- which is the fact that allowing your build to have high investment point to then remove the said investment in an attribute and putting it somewhere else is really strong. Mage builds for a certain period could have an unnerfed Reinforced Armor AND Ether Overdrive, so they could have up to 580 HP or more while still dealing a bar per mantra. People forget that the only unbalanced stuff back then was usually stat sticks (or broken hitboxes. I'm looking at you strong left..) that did their job better than the rest, but now you can have a literal Avatar build and still have points spare to put into base attributes. They're also adding anime themed slop into the game, which makes balancing worse. They literally killed its identity of it being an exploration-based game with a sekiro-styled combat of it being exchange of parries and the winner came down to who actually got hit by feints/mixups the most. And no, before you say "B-B-B-B--B-B-B-B-B-B-B-B--B-B-B-B-B-B-B-BUT................ PARRY EXCHANGES........ WERE................. 3 BUSINESS DAYS LONG!!!!!!" And to that I say were you a part of Lancelot at its peak? Did you play at the highest level of deep PVP? Fuck no, so your parry exchanges were at best 10-20 seconds. And this also was good because it goes to show which player had the better defense through having really good parries or having better offense through opening someone up. Now- the PVP is just Rogue Lineage. Yes, there's no true oneshot combos, but can you really look at Saintsworn and tell me this wouldn't be an uber class if it was sent to Rogue? It's a mess, this whole game. It's a SHAME.
4:55 RPG doesn't equal action, its a roleplay game. There only being action is kind of... it's not "that" wrong, right, but that being said it's absolutely a fallacy to think that it should be all about action. Most importantly great games find a way to break the box. Deepwoken is meant to be a great game, it should do that and most importantly it has the hints, the potential to do something about it REALLY EASILY but it doesn't, the devs don't develop that. Massive disappointement.
deepwoken is only fun with hacks. The die repeat gameplay gets stale after making a build. The fact that even with cheats the grind is long shows that this game is only designed for content creators. The value of PVP outside of the PVP gamemode is not worth it unless its some cringe clan war pvp scenario. Im glad I stopped playing it. No I didn't get banned, the cheats are really advanced and everyone uses them. this game has fallen to roleplayers and content creators not great for long term fun. 10/10 short term fun with cheats.
a lot of people fail to understand what’s ACTUALLY wrong with the game and while it IS flawed in many departments, people don’t seem to recognize that most issues came from lack of identity. all the unbalanced, over the top abilities, or lack of exploration, combowoken because they let aba devs make the game, even optimization with everything being a 50000 particle fireworks show is a consequence of the game losing its identity to become another slop game that’s just supposed to make money. watch the first few deepwoken directs from around 4 years ago and you’ll see what i mean. and now they’re adding farming… to a fighting & “exploration” game too 😭😭😭 tldr; yall don’t realize that all of this is because of lack of identity. watch old deep directs you’ll see what i mean
@ not true. updates are low quality or over the top and generally just don’t match the game at all, while they make hardly thought out decisions and maybe some occasional qol which is nice, but unnecessary. none of it is what the game needs and is rarely what the community wants
I don't absolutely like the style of how you do things, you have really good editing skills hmm, I think you need to do something creative, something unique, just one thing for like a month to gain traction or have a reason to have traction. Related to deep, just to draw a bit of attention from the algorithm but I might be wrong about that solution
