That book does look like a 16th century antique book, you can tell even on smallest details that the film crew did a good job on making reproductions of the historical objects
Apart from the fact that this book attributed to Galileo Galilei is completely fictitious - the moon drawing is from his work "Sidereus Nuncius". In later times, moreover, Galileo deliberately and intentionally avoided Latin and wrote only in Italian so that even the common people could read his writings.
Despite the movie being innacurate. It still had memorable parts. 1:05 anyway, this part made me crack cuz hes shocked that someone wpuld rip off a very important book from the renaissane. Cant rlly blame the guy, its very valuable
In the Book, everyone was in a hurry, tired n running towards the Chapel, Hassassin n Preferiti. But in the movie, they seem a bit relaxed n looks fresh lol. This is my first Thriller Novel. Almost everything in the book feels so real n not fictional. Now am waiting outside Santa Maria Della Vittoria while Langdon struggling to save the Priest from the third element Fire. So curious that I can't wait to see how Screen Version would feel, so here I am. Will watch the whole movie after finding the Canister;)
People complain about how different the movie is from the book, like that's: A) A problem, B) A big deal, or C) Specific only to this movie rendition of a novel. Chill out, people. It's not the end of the world as we know it that the movie is different from the book. It's a good movie! Relax! If it were just the book in movie form, than what would be the point in watching? It's still the same story with slight differences!
Well I don't think most people treat it as the end of the world, but it is still disappointing because there's an inherent feeling that the movie could have been better. I don't agree with everything the book readers want, (like Swiss guards in traditional uniforms would be hard for American audiences to take seriously, even though I think it would've been cool as hell from a historical perspective) but most of them would've made the movie better.
right? - if the book was like, inerrant and inspired by God or something, then the indignation could be righteous it shows which kinds of literature some people have religious zeal for
You can't bring that into the Archives. In fact, the only things you're allowed to bring in are paper and pencils, and even then it's only if you're going to take notes for some scholarly work. No bags, no phones, no gadgets, no food or drink, no coats, not even pens.

Such a good story. Saw it in theaters twice. My mom took me first and then I tricked my girlfriend at the time to go again lol. And when I read the book I carried it everywhere and read it everywhere. And when it was done, I started it again. Read it twice in a month again. Can't wait for Dan Brown to release something new (: I had the special edition one as well that had all the illustrations of the symbols and diagrams talked about in the novel. Much better than DaVinci Code imo
'sorry Professor, (there is) no time.' - GMAT Quant Data Sufficiency have brought me to this clip as I aspire to be a strong test taker. This script is just beautiful.
Tbh the books are far better than the movies in my perspective, because the way Sir. DAN BROWN wrote each and every details about one's dressing and their features a reader can literally visualize the character and also athe events taking place. As a person who had read the whole Robert Langdon series, I feel like it's really better to read the books cuz the way of writing will completely addicted to the book. And about the story Angels and Demons. I watched the movie after reading the book I felt like there was a lot missing from the original story (book). The one who watching the movie without reading the book may have many doubts........and the humor in the book was missing in the movie, the way of dressing displayed in the movie, the entire CERN sequence, the appearence of Maximilian Kohler was also missing, the chemistry btw Prof. Langdon and Vittoria & etc.....was also missing in the movie. Don't know if it is because I've already read the book, I really felt terrible even with the starting of the movie as it ended so fast as I felt that the movie was incomplete somewhere.......I don't know but I couldn't digest this movie. So I prefer you guys to read the book (if you have time, ofc) And no offense to the movies.......ofc they're brilliant in the way of it's making........it's just that they didn't brought the whole sequence just the written in the book.
Just for completeness: This book „Diagram of Truth“ attributed to Galileo Galilei is entirely fictitious. He never wrote such. The moon drawing is taken from his work "Sidereus Nuncius", published in 1610. In later times, moreover, Galileo deliberately and intentionally avoided Latin and wrote in Italian only - so that the common people could read his writings. Also, the elliptical orbits of the planets attributed to him in the film were published by Johannes Kepler in his book „Astronomia Nova“ in 1609. However, Galileo had taken no notice of Kepler's laws of planetary motion throughout his life.
To be frank, damaging an ancient book is painful for me on a soul level, but since millions of lifes are dependent on that information, I'd blow up the entire book if I would have to.
In real life, she would have been shot on the spot. The Swiss Guard is a real, armed force. In the archives, you are allowed to bring nothing more than paper and pencils. No bag, no phones, no pen, none of that. Probably not even your coat. And the Guard watches you while you work.
When a beautiful woman asks if you need help with Latin (or anything really) the only answer is yes. The book is better than the movie; the only point that bothered me was that parachute near the end.
They should have adopetd in series, book is better if you are planning to read the book then read it and if you haven't then make one plan. Have a good day
RyuujiVantek they probably won’t make the lost symbol because the villain is nude most of the time. And they probably won’t make origin because it’s pretty political and the Robert Langdon movie series doesn’t make much money
*Neo-Genesis* Knowledge is intrinsically linked with wisdom and power. In Genesis this is known as "the light" and God separated the light from the dark and called the light "good." However, knowledge is infinite and thus good can, thus, also be evil. By knowledge one uses the implements of the written languages, recounts experience, or by tools which were called "divining rods" which came to be the tools of science. The use of languages and writing remains the most powerful means. By this they ultimately seek magic which is weilded through understanding and which transcends the ignorant, who is the "dark" and the "evil." These are also linked with the living and the dead and life and death, alternatively. Magic is the appropriation of the spirits, which remains undefined, but in and from the other or the self and whereby becomes more subtle through knowledge, and thus more powerful. In the early and ancient eras there were many who studied in secrecy and who developed much wisdom and knowledge, always keeping the evil in the dark, but as time progressed paper and ink became more widespread, yet there is still darkness and secrecy concerning knowledge and knowledge ultimately leads to the good and the light, but becomes more powerful and, thus, a greater good is capable of a greater evil, but not in the sense of ignorance but in weilding power. This is the truth of both Eden and Creation, which were written after thousands of years of magic and the fall of divinity to guard the secrets of wisdom and knowledge. Note* Thoth is represented by the moon which is the light in the darkness and by whom one becomes a scribe. Jesus marked the end and the beginning, and was often seen with a divining rod in early paintings. -Merkwad

plot twist, they actually used a real secret sacred book that was hidden in the vatican until they stole it for the movie.
Also the illuminati sign
I love this movie. It’s like National Treasure, only upgraded.
Yh it reminded me of National Treasure, the clue hunting
The movie is entertaining, but I still think the book is a lot better
The movies portray Robert Langdons as all knowing.
Hell yeah the book was way better!
When I saw this in theaters I was angry at the changes but now I kinda have a soft nostalgic spot for this.
@@Eric_1991 at least the soundtrack is lit though 😂 now I listening to the OST everytime I re-read the novel

Its interesting that italians dont know raphael's last name.
Zion Anthony Gayoso I guess because we mostly just call him by his first name, Raffaello
He is universally known as Raffaello Sanzio (from Sancto).
The full name should be Raffaello Santi Sanzio (from Sancti).
They dumb the characters down for expository reasons. They’re telling the audience that information, not the characters.
