I am so excited, starting the Hexagon Snowflake towels. I love cotton tea towels and now I can make my own with your beautiful fabric. Thank you for the video, you make this look so easy.🥰
I love this! I just bought the supplies to make my own hexies for the very first time and I have been quilting for about 30 years! I used to be intimidated by them but now that I am older, I want to give them a try! Thanks for sharing! Blessings!
The colours in this quilt are perfect. It looks like a really happy quilt....and one I'm definitely making exactly as you have done it. I'm in Ireland and hope I can get all the fabric as usually we can get some but not all. I lovely tutorial to watch on a rainy morning in the middle of our lock down 😊❤️☘️
Never thought I'd like hexies, and never bothered to make one even tho I bought heir papers, chubby dresdens and and scallop papers on a whim. Watching you, I made my first hexie...hooked! Now to figure out what I can do do with them!
This was SO HELPFUL!! Thank you! I have been intimidated by these but always wanted to try some day ... now I feel I can maybe do this, too! Love everything you make!
I love this quilt along. I’m refining /advancing basic skills, overcoming my applique phobia, and now learning a bit about paper piecing, which has been on my quilting bucket list. Thanks so much, Joanna. Here’s hoping you develop more quilts that we can make together. (Lord knows, I have scads of Fig Tree fabric...)
Thank you for this! I had a lot of fun making my hexes during my daughter's gymnastics meet. Could you tell us what color / weight thread you used to stitch them down onto the background?
Hi…I can’t believe I just did this to Block #4…it took me forever to finish my hexies..and I just machine sewed them to the backing…completely ignoring my note to trim the block to 11 1/2”!! Now what to do??? I can’t leave it like this as the points would all be cut off. I guess I have a date with Jack. 😞
I’m coming into this project late! Do you have a link where I can buy the kit you mentioned in the video, or the pattern and fabric (so I might try a partial version of the larger project! Many thanks!!!! I have loved your color palates for years, and after nearly a year of this pandemic quarantine, I feel like splurging on a new project! Also, if this current group project is nearing its end, when will the next one start?! Thanks!!❤️
You are inspiring me to give hexies a try. Boy, if Joanna Figeroa has never done hexies before I'm in good company. Perhaps my allergy to hand sewing will not rear its ugly head.
Its very easy to watch with it turned down :-)! I don't really say much that you need to know, just shows you what I am doing for each step. My daughter is helping me create the videos and she liked it a bit louder. We might look into turning it down a bit for the next one.

Me too. Can't wait to make the rest!

You can do it! I know you can!
You took something I thought was complicated and made it so easy and doable. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful! I was so surprised myself!
Thanks so much for this! I've been wanting to try paper piecing for a while and you made it look so easy!
I am so very happy to hear that. I was surprised at how much easier it was than I thought!

Thanks so much. I thought so too.
Thank you for this! I had a lot of fun making my hexes during my daughter's gymnastics meet. Could you tell us what color / weight thread you used to stitch them down onto the background?
I use the same aurifil cream thread that I use to stitch them together. 50 wt.
You do such a great job on your tutorials...love your encouragement ❤️
You are so welcome xoxox.

So happy to hear that. It is a fun quilt to make and you never get bored!
So cute!
Thanks so much!
please lower the music on your tutorials. Because of this overpowering noise, it is impossible to follow. thanks
Noted it is a bit loud on this one... my daughter is my video editor. Feel free to turn it down :-). you really need to see my actions mostly anyway.
@@FigTreeandCo thanks for your answer. I do love your fabric!

It was really so much easier than I thought! Try it!
You are too cute!!

These seem so small.
These are 5/8" hexies because that is what fits in our block but they come in all kinds of sizes!
While I love your tutorial, the music needs to be turned off.
So glad you like the tutorial. We love the music!
The repetitive music made me stop the video. I’m interested but the music overpowers my ability to watch. Sorry. It looks interesting but I can’t.
