  • When brushing your Goldendoodle dog, it's easy to glide over a few places which are especially prone to matting.
In this video, we look at the top 6 areas on a doodle dog's body which, if overlooked, can lead to tangles.
I will show you, area by area, what parts to pay particular attention to so your goldendoodle, labradoodle, aussiedoodle or other doodle dog will stay beautifully groomed and mat-free.
Of course it's important to have the right tools - a slicker brush and comb.

How did you train her to sit for you to brush her when she was a small puppy? Mine is 10 weeks. Luckily her hair is straight and doesn’t matte. So far, LOL

Yes, I'd get her to sit when brushing her chest, front paws and head... lie down to do sides and underbody... and stand to brush tail and rump. Some parts are easy to do. Others, like under the tail... well, you saw her face on the video... "excuuuuuse me"! LOL

@@MyGoldendoodleDiary Thanks for replying! But what did you do to get her to sit etc when she was little? I don’t have to do much yet but I will need to. I tried letting her play with a second brush as someone suggested. Also, does Sophie has little goobers at the corner of her eyes every day? Izzy doesn’t seem to stain like some poodles do. I’m cleaning it every day to get ahead of a potential problem. I couldn’t tell, is your trimmer electric?

No thanks. People are breeding poor quality dogs of multiple breeds with poodles charging prices that are out of control.. no standards. Bad breeders
