27 here, and I’ve tried to get my family to invest in silver. And some people just won’t follow through, they would rather have the 20$
The other day I offered the waiter 20$ bill or an oz of silver (the one I carry in my pocket,) and he took the cash… people don’t understand owning things anymore, they are more into getting debt.
@coltonbaker2576 People simply don't know what real money is. It's a sad thing to see. One day everyone will look back confused as to why they don't own anything. They won't own homes. They won't own any assets at all. That's because Starbucks coffee every morning and random bullshit from Amazon was more important 20 years prior. You and I are very close in age by the way. @@FourNines-silver My best advice build good relationship & trust with your Coin Dealers, look around your area. I have being bless to have Two coin dealers only 30 mints away from my Area. And the best part is that they will call me personally to tell me that they just bought vintage silver rounds or bars & if I am interested in buying & 99% of the time I lock in my deals & go pick them up. We have build good trust that I don’t pay any sale’s tax for my silver or gold & that’s awesome deal that I can’t refuse. Keep stacking strong any time you get good opportunity & at course smart choices.

I recently got my 18yr old son into stacking
He was asking questions about financial stability for his future and I explained how stacking even a small amount is better than leaving money in the bank
I started him off with 10 silver Krugerrands
He bought his own 10oz Perth mint bar a couple weeks ago.
Each time I buy silver I add an extra oz for him too.

Nope. Kids today have no idea. They can't wait to go cashless and use their phone, or a chip in their body, for transactions that are monitored and controlled by their Masters in Washington DC. My daughter is 19 and the fatalistic assumptions she has are an oppressive weight to live under. She assumes her job (which she's still studying for at college) will be replaced by AI. She assumes she will never afford a house. She has little hope for the kind of lifestyle I was able to create for myself. It's sad. I am more optimistic, of course. IF you wanna talk to people about stacking, go visit a coin show. You'll find hundreds of people to talk with. Also, it looks like you and I use the same wallet for our Goldbacks.
Trust me I relate to how she feels. Things look pretty grim for the financial future of America. But I refuse to accept defeat. Accepting a hopeless future as the truth is the same as accepting death. I will try my best to thrive no matter what economic hand I've been dealt. All of this will require a lot of sacrifice. And the young generation needs to understand that.

Worked it out that in the UK, if the economy tanks, we need to invest £600 a month to have a sensible amount to fall back on after a while.

Great video, brother! I'm 35 and my goal is 1000oz in silver and 10 oz of gold. I didn't really start investing at all until 2017, hit on Doge coin in 2020 and became addicted to trading. I'm happy I took most of the crypto profits and converted it into Gold and Silver. My dad said it would be the best move for the future, and I agree. Silver and Gold have been world-wide accepted currency since before Jesus, that's a good track record lol

You are spot on. My wife and I have only been stacking since February of 23. We stopped giving our grandkids plastic for special occasions, and now we give them 1 oz, silver coins. As far as telling people, you have to drop little nuggets and wait for them to ask questions.

I think it is super important for anyone under 30yo to start a stack.
Fiat paper that they would normally piss away at fancy coffee shops, soda machines, 7/11, and filling their closets with redundant clothes would be better utilized preserving wealth in PMs.

Me and my wife 33/38 have been collecting or getting silver eagles as gifts for 15+ years, now my kids both under 10 yo have already started their own collection and they love going to the shows and shops.

You are absolutely correct it's safer than physical. But one of the big benefits of physical gold is that you can hold it in your hand. You can't hold your bank account or your investment portfolio in your hands. So there is a trade off. One is impossible to be physically stolen whereas the other is tangible and undeniable. Started stacking when i was 20, im now 28. When covid hit it really opened my eyes to what is going on with fiat. I measure my wealth in ounces now, have been for awhile. Its fun, have gotten a couple friends into it but they dont grasp the full concept of why its so important.

My nephew loves to spend money I gave him 10 coins 2 eureka rounds and 8 perthmint coins, last week he came over to show me his new 2oz dragon coin and his 1/4oz gold kangaroo coin. I smiled and thought job done lol

Consumable income - People around my age already have a house (or two) a car, no credit card debit, kids grown and out of the house, we (quinquagenarian’s and sexagenarian’s) have had many, many years experience saving and budgeting to get where we are. All of a sudden we have a little bit of spare cash, I save a bit, give a bit and spend bit. I talk to my children (I have 7) about stacking and they love the idea - however current priorities at their age are different, I fully understand because iv been there, that’s why I’m stacking on their behalf, I believe generational wealth is the key.
You're doing a great thing for them! Its difficult for young people especially right now. But I do believe everyone should try to pick up 1 ounce per paycheck. Its worth it. Ultimately, young people should be focusing primarily on establishing a good career for themselves and building equity in real estate. They are lucky to have you! Congratulations on your big family
@@FourNines-silver it’s a catch 22, if you don’t work hard on yourself (education) and career then stacking may be a challenge, every good building has a solid foundation 😉. Stacking an oz of silver per pay is absolutely achievable by the majority it just comes down to choices, choices become available through knowledge, knowledge comes from education, you are doing an excellent job with education and sharing your experience as a young person - respect ✊

@Trapset_Agent goldbacks are an excellent idea. The only issue I see with them is if you were to try to use it for barter you would most likely have to educate and convince the person you are trading with the value of the goldback. Because they probably won't have any idea what goldbacks are

I showed my nephews my coins and they were excited about them. They showed me some coins they had collected and I found a silver quarter among them. But who knows if they will be interested in stacking when they get older

@cowboy_henk keep it at your parents house. Or in a storage location temporarily until you have a different living situation. Or just save up and wait and hit it hard once you live on your own

I also think young people should approach precious metals with an exit strategy. Silver is less liquid when you don't have a relationship with a LCS(so that might be early advice to give) or know how to sell on reddit etc
I think a conversation about the value of precious metals should discuss their overall investment strategy as well. Do they have a roth IRA? Do they have an emergency fund? Does work offer a 401k match? After all that, then I'd talk about physical commodities and their role as a safe haven asset and insurance in uncertain times
I agree with you. The young need to focus on all areas. Ultimately, they need to get a house before going heavy into metals, but nowadays, that takes years and years for a young couple to accomplish. That's why I recommend just an ounce or two a paycheck. The rest of their money can go towards higher risk investments and a downpayment for a home.
@@FourNines-silver For sure! If you're a kiddo stuck renting, dollar cost averaging into silver is a great move from a learning standpoint too, maybe you end up disliking your first choices and can pivot into something more aligned with your interests or goals
