Brickmania - MK1 Spitfire

- Here is my first look into a plane from Brickmania. I always thought the Spitfire was a beautiful plane... now I get to have one. And yes I said, “MK” instead of “Mark.” Whoops.

I live not too far from Biggin Hill which was an RAF base for a fighter squadron in WW2. It’s still a commercial airfield and used to, up until a few years ago, host a major international air fair.
Outside the airfield chapel there’s two mounted fighters from when the base was operational, one is the Spitfire and the other is the Hurricane. Both operated from Biggin Hill. There’s also a museum too!
In the summer months, and if you’re very lucky, you can sit in one of the nearby pub gardens and watch a Spitfire doing acrobatics. The pubs were frequented by RAF personnel during the war, and there’s a ton of memorabilia on display.
The sound of that Rolls Royce Merlin engine is incredible. It’s such a unique sound. I was lucky to have joined my late father at RAF Manston and witnessed a Lancaster bomber land. It too had four of those massive engines. Such a distinctive sound!
Have you ever been to the Palm Springs Air Museum? It’s well worth a visit as they have a wonderful collection of machines from all eras including fighters and bombers from WW2. Check out their War Birds flights!
I was there on a visit on July 4th 2015 and got to meet many veterans. They were all incredible men and very knowledgable about the planes.

Robin Hull that must be quite show to see. If Dunkirk plays true... the sound of the spitfire is beautiful. I’m sure more epic in person. That’s really cool that you were able to experience that. I have not visited the Palms Springs Air Museum. Guess I should now haha. I love these comments you write. Rich in experience.

I’ve seen war... but not many Americans have. You guys however... it’s still fresh in your country’s memory... in which many of your people know was through 1st hand or by family.

Hey Shy! Cool build, I have BKM's P-40N and their Ju 87 Stuka. I've only built the P-40N so far but the Stuka is coming soon! Couple of additional comments - Mk I is spoken "Mark One". I jumped all over Dilan from BKM about doing the same thing, it was funny! Also, BKM have made a couple P-51s over the years. The most recent was a P-51D in early- to mid- 2019. Keep up the Ezra strafing videos! Have a great day & Keep 'em Coming!
I slept on both those kits... I wish I got the p40. Such an awesome build! The Stuka looks really cool. Wish I got that one too. I noted the “Mark” and “MK” in my description below the video. Haha it noted it but it was already too late after I made the video haha. My favorite p51 the BKM was the red tail. I hope they get the license to build another one. I believe that’s their current issue. Thanks for watching. More staffing videos with Ezra coming up soon haha.

And you totally should get more Brickmania planes. They take up a lot space but they're awesome display (and play) pieces!

@@SHYTIMEismyTIME Cody Osell is the aircraft MOC master. Love his work! I built his F-22 Raptor and it's a favorite set of mine. I plan to build the SR-71 Blackbird this weekend. What Brickmania plane are you working on now?
Cody Osell is a Master is a MOC master. I have two. I just finished the BF109 and I have a Lighting on it’s way. You should see the 109 come up this week.

The spitfire was not in pear harbor.
I also love Tom Hardy my favorite movies are Dunkirk,mad Max fury road, warrior,and Batman

It’s pretty beefy... and spans a good footprint.. so in comparison to the tanks... and the BF109 ... yes I think so. Lol
