- I spent almost a year of researching before I decided on what motor would replace my trolling motor. After considering Mercury, Torpedo, e Propulsion, I ended up choosing the Parsons 1.2kw electric motor. Have a look at the review to see what I think 🤔
Great review. I just bought one. Disappointed that the motor shipped with a 15amp plug which doesn’t fit into a normal power point. Was sent out a replacement charger which was not much better as it needed an international conversion plug. Ended up buying a 15amp to 10amp converter for about $100 from my local hardware store. Happy with the parsun, but piss poor that they can’t get australian cabling and plugs correctly sorted out.
I know what you mean, great motor though
Great job! Thanks. We've been talking about something like this to get to shore for a while now. It's excellent to hear from someone who is using it👍👍
Awesome and honest review!
Great review
GREAT REVIEW... Parsun knows now of your video now I showed them =)
Cheers for that, great motor too 👌
Can you solar charge the battery, does it need external MPPT?
Is battery 24Vdc?
If you fit a bimney to boat then you could put solar blanket on roof charge it while fishing.
I charge from my caravan or car with an inverter. Battery is 48V.
@@DASHOffRoad thanks, Victron have a 12/48V converter, wonder if it will charge the battery?
How’s it differ from the epropulsion?
Price, weight?
Can i connect this motor directly to external battery,?
Negative
Is it worth buying the spare battery??
I bought an extra x2
Is this rebranded Epropulsion?
I don’t think so. I reckon it’s better than ePropulsion

Tnx. As im looking more and more i do see the difference between the two.
Parsun has a long history at outboards but this battery powered is a new for them i think.
In design, they copied Epropulsion but i don't think it's a bad thing by no means.
Epropulsion seems (only by looking online) a more respected firm for making electric outboards, your review on Parsun is a one of the few on YT, there are thousands for Epropulsion.
From what i see Epropulsion has advantages in: longer warranty (3yrs vs 1yr in Europe), better build quality, on the market for almost ten years with electric outboards.
Parsun advantages: a bit larger battery (if specs are correct but the total weight of battery "says" it are very likely are correct), more powerful motor (1.2kW vs 1.0kW, but that is not as a big of a deal because hardly anyone would constantly drive them at full throttle) and the obvious: the price (in Europe Parsun is 1700€ and Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 is 2100€).
your Mike isn't working only music and water untill 2:00
