  • Oh, didn't see you there. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. Tried to sprinkle in some more memes this time for more of a fun factor for such a fun little bike.
    I do not own the rights to any music, images, logos, or secondary videos.
    Also, the rider shown in the video is not me. He is a professional operating on a closed course with artificial traffic animated in. He performed all wheelies. I just do the voiceover while I'm on a bicycle for a more realistic sound, and the other sound effects like the bike are just pumped in for a more authentic feel.
    If you read this, comment "papio go brrrr"

    I know it's subjective, but in my opinion the Papio looks so much better than the other mini motos. That alone is enough for me to disregard the few shortcomings it has.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the Papio would have a very clean look if some aftermarket Vendors would start producing tail-tidy kits with integrated blinkers and flush mounts signals up front. An exhaust would be nice, and a set of bars with some end-mirrors. Just a few tasteful mods can really clean up the aesthetics of most bikes. Thanks for the comment!

      Hey, thanks for watching! I think that's a solid price. What other form of reliable fuel-injected transportation could you find for less than $2,500 that also gets 100+MPG?
      Keep in mind your ability to commute from where it will reside though. If you live in a fairly densely populated area where you can get anywhere you need to by taking city streets/roads under 100KMPH/60MPH, I'd say pull the trigger on that bad boy!
      If you are located further out in a country town where low speed areas are not prevalent, your ownership experience may not be as ideal.
      Ultimately, buy it if you can justify it and it doesn't put you in a compromising position. Ride safe. 😎

    I know this video is a little older but a thought that i had while watching was the prices. I dont know if its the same everywhere, but when I was looking around at some Honda's the dealers were charging ridiculous markups, under the guise of freight and dealer setup/prep...like $2000-2500 markup. I looked at a CRF300L Rally and they wanted almost $9k out the door and were surprised when I told them to pound sand. So if a Grom is more like $5-6k out the door, and CF Moto dealers can keep their fees low, these might be a great buy. There are dealers relatively close to where I live that have brand new 2022 leftovers for right around $2000. If you look nationwide you can find brand new 2022's for $1700...if you're willing to travel.

      Hey man, great input! Lots of good points. If you buy the Z over any of the other minis, I guess you’re really just paying for the name and reputation at that point. As they say, availability is the best ability, and where I am good luck getting thing in stock but CFMoto, SSR, and some dirt bikes. Everything else says "in transit", "preorder", "might be here by January". Not sure what the other mfg are doing, but CFMoto might end up moving a lot of units just because they are available and decent prices plus typically have some extra bells and whistles in the instruments, modes, etc. Really, the only other thing I see around here available in this particular class is a Kymco Kpipe 125 for $2K.
    I want to buy a MT03 or Z400 but none in stock here - but the CFMoto 300NK and SS are.... so who knows, I might be a CFmoto owner soon just because.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  ปีที่แล้ว

      While you're correct in low-torque motorcycles require more throttle in order not to stall, you have to consider other variables like weight/gearing. The Papio is super lightweight, so it most likely has a proportionate throttle ratio to propel it forward without the engine stalling. Also depends on how much you have the clutch pulled in. Hope this is helpful. Thanks for your comment!

      Hey, thank you! I am totally up for comparing those two bikes, it will just be a little tough to get my hands on an 07 unless the dealership I works at picks one up at auction or gets one in on trade. It would be a great comparison though. Same HP, but the CL-X is a tad heavier. However, in terms of value, the CL-X brings a lot to the table where the 07 is severely lacking. Ride modes, good brakes, and cruise control being the biggest points.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@evilrobot2401 Do a quick internet search for “CFMOTO KTM” and you’ll find they partnered nearly a decade ago. KTM needed someone to help scale production, so they hit up CF. KTM said they required CF to have increased quality control checkpoints.
      In the end, both parties benefitted. CF upped their standards for KTM, which in turn helped CF understand how they could improve their own products, so they did. KTM got to improve manufacturing capacity/capability and cut costs on labor.
      CF also had a contract to manufacture many Chinese government fleet vehicles IIRC.
      In short, CFMOTO quality is good. I’d say 8/10. There a few tacky things on CF bikes (like the faux carbon fiber on the CL-X), but with the plethora of features, the money you save, and the 2-year warranty (as opposed to 1-year from Big 4) it’s pretty easy to look past that.
      CFMOTO is nothing to scoff at, and you should REALLY weigh out the features and benefits of each. Are you paying for features, or are you paying for a name?

    I can’t figure out how I feel about these CF Moto bikes. I want to like them but have a really hard time getting away from the Big 4. Do you think they are worth the small price cut?

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Great question! I think some of the bikes in the line-up are good options compared to the big 4. However, the Papio and the 650NK have been the ones I've said not to go for. I think those two options are just too close in price/features to not go for the big 4 offerings. The papio needs a price reduction of about 300-500 to be a considerable option, for me personally. However, if the big 4 options aren't available and someone needs a bike THAT DAY, you can get by with the CFMOTO options. Quick fun fact, in 2012 CFMOTO was approached by KTM to manufacture KTM engines. KTM's contingency was that CFMOTO had to have more quality control checkpoints in order for the partnership to go through. In the end, both ended up benefitting because 1.) KTM got to increase production with cost-effectiveness and 2.) CFMOTO got insight from a big time manufacturer which in turn helped them improve their own quality control.
      In short, some CFMOTO bikes are worth grabbing for the value aspect alone, but that value should really be studied by each individual buyer before they pull the trigger on one to make sure it fits their situation and financial comfort.

    if the papio has all the functions of the "cfmoto ride app" you should take that into consideration for if the bike is worth it or not. I dont know if it has the app functions. If it doesnt i agree. if you can get a grom without additional markup get it. However if you have access to all the app features i would probably have to say good buy!

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great thoughts, but as far as I know the application doesn’t pair with the Papio since it doesn’t have the TFT display. I could be wrong, and I honestly haven’t tried it so maybe I’ll see if it does have that functionality. That’s a huge feature if so that could tip the scales in favor of the Papio for those looking!

      @@Omni_Moto They are pretty unclear right? They need a much more clear yes or no. But if you go to their website under the customer care tab and select the ride app from there watch the video at one point the bottom of the video it does list the papio. Theres some nice features on that app. seeing its location being the best to me personally. Cost of tracking devices can add up pretty quickly adding a LOT of value here. The owners manual wasnt much help either though page 121 mention it.

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, sorry for the late reply! Great question. The Papio, Grom, and Z125 all have passenger pegs to accommodate a 2nd rider on the back. It's a little tough to do and it's pretty cramped, but it's totally possible! Thanks for the comment.

    My gosh you are damn funny! I absolutely can’t believe they sell them in the States where every road is almost dead straight & you have the biggest 4x4’s

    • @Omni_Moto
      @Omni_Moto  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Steve! Your comments are always so genuine and pleasant. Thank you for your continued support! I know here in the US we have an abundance of oversized stuff (brains not being one of them) but with the way gas prices are rising here in the US, these small-displacement bikes become more and more attractive! Especially for the BIG 4X4s you mention which usually get around 15MPG (on a good day). Buying a Papio, Grom, Z, whatever it is, practically pays for itself if that big 4X4 is your main mode of transportation and is just guzzling gas every time you need to do a quick run to town. At that point, you'd have to do a long-term cost-benefit analysis to see exactly where it would pay itself off, but it would not take very long considering it gets nearly 8x the fuel mileage of most 4X4 vehicles.
      Hope that gives you something to think about! You've also given me another excellent idea for a future video. Thanks Steve!!! Have a great week my friend, and ride safe!

    First, Papio go brr
    Second, I like how it does 0-40 faster than 40-60, lol.
    Third, consider this: the Honda absolutely has a better reputation (there's a reason Honda is the best-selling Japanese brand in the United States), but right now with the chip shortage and supply chain issues, it's hard for Honda to get bikes to dealers. My local dealer carries Honda, Kawasaki, and CFMoto, but they have no Z125s in stock (they had a single one at one point) and no Groms. If you want a Grom where I live, they're only available if you order one and wait. But they have 3 Papios on the showroom floor, and if you don't want to wait months and months, it's a pretty good option over a Grom. Reliability and resale may not be there like they are for the Honda (although used Grom prices are ridiculous), but not having to wait is worth a lot for some people. Just my $.02.
