Relentless and effortless is their trademark, but this one has 195 bpm, and composer Miyako (the dark haired guitarist) had some doubts, if it was too fast. But then she thought, her bandmates will do it, no problem. It's Heavy Metal on steroids, on a high technical level, played very cleanly!

Welcome to LOVEBITES 🤘🏼🐺🔥 Here some information about them: The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray. In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations. Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects. Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string) The present members are, Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Some people do find her Japanese accent hard to follow at first. Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE. Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman. Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos. Fami, Bacchus Bass. Recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens. Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed. All members of the band can play piano/keyboards. They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023. Welcome to Lovebites - the world of powerful vocals, and lots of great guitar work, performed with elegance, grace, and beauty. You will absolutely love this band the more you dive into their catalog. Just a couple of things - They have TWO lead guitarists who switch roles between lead and rhythm but mostly they harmonize the lead part. Asami sings all of their songs in English, despite not being fluent in English, so her Japanese accent is strong and difficult to discern for some people. The more you listen the easier it becomes to understand what she is singing. Because this performance was in Japan, she talks to the audience in Japanese, although she will mix in English at times. For example at the end she said "Everybody raise your hands!" Not brace your head.

Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Asami is truly amazing. If you listen to their resent live recording of "the edge of the world" Asami's vocals really shine. Then "frozen serenade" gives a good glimpse of her elegance and beauty too.

This is my cup of tea..the genres are glam metal,heavy metal,hard rock,power metal and some funk metal like extreme whice have great guitar solos..those are my cup of tea music..the warning is an example the kind of band that is not my cup of tea so i do not listen to them..they're good but not my cup of tea..lovebites is one of the best today's bands world offered...in my oppinion
I think is fair to say that the lyrics are tough to catch in this song, unlike their other songs. These ladies are the absolute cream of the crop, best around when it comes to power/thrash metal. They have a lot of depth too and their musicianship is second to none. Plenty more to discover here. Maybe try Frozen Serenade or Empty Daydream next.
Woah, I wasn't expecting that either. Havnt really investigated the asian bands too much (although I absolutely love a Thai band called Cthonic) as I wasn't too keen personally on babymetal and somehow let them bypass me, but this is incredible. Your right about the voice too - definitely sounds like shes had some kind of classical training. Loved it. Will need to pay more attention to these bands I think. LOVEBITES singer ASAMI sing all in English language. This video is from Japan, and she talk to public in their language. Song is great example of BAROQUE (1600-1750) music sound (composition) in Modern Times with modern instruments. Forget "nw" (small letters), they are nothing. You have full support from me to playing acoustic guitar.
It's ok, I love other kinds of music too 😀 Heart is definitely on my list. I've already seen their performance at Kennedy center honors but nothing else than that. So, it's a good time to start now ☺️
@@adnanreacts92 For sure it's okay. When I was introduced to LOVEBITES last year, I had to readjust my listening habits. I'm by far no metal head, but still it impressed me (I was looking out for Pink Floyd and got LOVEBITES, lol). Then I got through their 60+ song catalogue and found no miss, no filler song at all. All songs are at least very good. Many of them very fast, and there's so much happening! I wasn't used to that. Maybe try the song played before this one on that concert, "Edge Of The World". That one shows not only the fast sides of LOVEBITES... For "Heart", that LZ performance at Kennedy Center is great, but I really appreciate that group since over 40 years now. From the 70s onwards, they have produced several excellent songs, some of them are real classics now. The Wilson sisters are still rocking, even at their current age. But in the 70s and 80s, they were on fire... I would add "Barracuda" to that list, but there are many more! The live 1978 version of "Crazy On You" has a nice intro by Nancy Wilson btw. And Ann's vocal performance is out of this world!

Relentless and effortless is their trademark, but this one has 195 bpm, and composer Miyako (the dark haired guitarist) had some doubts, if it was too fast. But then she thought, her bandmates will do it, no problem. It's Heavy Metal on steroids, on a high technical level, played very cleanly!

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album both were released in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have already released 4 full length studio albums, 4 EPs, a best of compilation and a bunch of live albums, available on CD/DVD/Blu-ray.
In 2018 LOVEBITES won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
LOVEBITES have toured in Europe back in 2018/2019 and also recently in 2024. This also includes appearances at most European major metal festivals such as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop, Resurrection Fest and Hellfest.
They also played their first US shows this year in September.
In 2021 the band went into a hiatus, because founder and bassist Miho quit the band for personal reasons. During the break also two babies were born. LOVEBITES came back in October 2022 with new bassist Fami and a few months later with new album „Judgement Day“. Their newest release is „LOVEBITES EP II“ with 5 amazing new songs.

Welcome to Lovebites, the Wolfpack 🐺 Lovebites fans around the world, will be along to give you information and recommendations.
Lovebites are a Japanese heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by Miho, Bass, who was previously in the band DESTROSE that broke up in 2015. They take much of their influence from the 1970's and 80's British and European bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Metallica. Miho is a big fan of Steve Harris, bass player with Iron Maiden and is influenced by his playing style. She left the band in 2021 for personal reasons and is currently pursuing new projects.
Any Lovebites video recorded in 2021 or earlier, the bassist will be Miho (ESP Bass), any from 2022 or later, it is Fami (Bacchus Bass, usually a 5 string)
The present members are,
Asami, Vocals and Piano. She trained in Ballet Dancing and before Lovebites was a R&B singer. She writes many of the lyrics and sings in English, not easy for a native Japanese speaker. Some people do find her Japanese accent hard to follow at first.
Midori, (Midori Tatematsu) ESP Guitars. The blond 'Amazon Warrior'. Before Lovebites a member of all female band GEKIJO METALICCHE.
Miyako, ( Watanabe Miyako, also has used the name Mi Ya) Dean and Gibson Guitars, Piano and Keyboards. The 'serious' one with long black hair. Before Lovebites a member of the bands DROP OF JOKER, 21g and SONIC LOVER RECKLESS. She is a classically trained pianist who writes much of the music, often incorporating classical themes into her compositions. She recently posted a 3 part series on her YT channel 'MIYAKO OFFICIAL' about the process she uses to compose new music in her home studio. She has an EP of some classic heavy metal songs transcibed and played on piano as though they are classical works. It would be accurate to think of her as a classical pianist who also plays guitar in a heavy metal band. A remarkable young woman.
Both Guitarists play lead, seamlessly swapping lead and rhythm as required. They play wonderful harmonised dual solos.
Fami, Bacchus Bass. Recruited as replacement for Miho in late 2022 when she was 20 years old and still at university. She has her own YT channel that has nearly 700,000 subs. Check out her 'Alien Alien' Slap Bass cover from when she was in her teens.
Haruna, Drums. The 'Little BIG Engine'. a tiny lady, 1.45 meters tall, who is the power house that drives the band. Before Lovebites she had been in Destrose, Miho's former band, and was the first to join her in the new band. She plays powerfully, fast and precisely throughout concerts that can be up to near 2 hours long. She uses a double kick bass pedal at unbelievable speed.
All members of the band can play piano/keyboards.
They were the first all female Japanese band to play at the Wacken festival, Germany in 2018, also playing at the Bloodstock festival in the UK and winning the UK Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. In 2019 they toured the UK with Dragon Force and opened for Arch Enemy in China. Following Miho's departure in 2021 they went on hiatus, two members, Asami and Miyako getting married and having babies. Their 'comeback' concert, the first with Fami on Bass, was in March 2023.

Welcome to Lovebites - the world of powerful vocals, and lots of great guitar work, performed with elegance, grace, and beauty. You will absolutely love this band the more you dive into their catalog. Just a couple of things - They have TWO lead guitarists who switch roles between lead and rhythm but mostly they harmonize the lead part. Asami sings all of their songs in English, despite not being fluent in English, so her Japanese accent is strong and difficult to discern for some people. The more you listen the easier it becomes to understand what she is singing. Because this performance was in Japan, she talks to the audience in Japanese, although she will mix in English at times. For example at the end she said "Everybody raise your hands!" Not brace your head.

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

Miyako is also a classical concert pianist, and at one time had considered a career in classical music (as well as possibly studying medicine!) before picking up the guitar. She is self-taught on the guitar. Asami is truly amazing. If you listen to their resent live recording of "the edge of the world" Asami's vocals really shine. Then "frozen serenade" gives a good glimpse of her elegance and beauty too.

This is my cup of tea..the genres are glam metal,heavy metal,hard rock,power metal and some funk metal like extreme whice have great guitar solos..those are my cup of tea music..the warning is an example the kind of band that is not my cup of tea so i do not listen to them..they're good but not my cup of tea..lovebites is one of the best today's bands world offered...in my oppinion
I think is fair to say that the lyrics are tough to catch in this song, unlike their other songs. These ladies are the absolute cream of the crop, best around when it comes to power/thrash metal. They have a lot of depth too and their musicianship is second to none. Plenty more to discover here. Maybe try Frozen Serenade or Empty Daydream next.

Havnt really investigated the asian bands too much (although I absolutely love a Thai band called Cthonic) as I wasn't too keen personally on babymetal and somehow let them bypass me, but this is incredible.
Your right about the voice too - definitely sounds like shes had some kind of classical training. Loved it.
Will need to pay more attention to these bands I think.

LOVEBITES singer ASAMI sing all in English language. This video is from Japan, and she talk to public in their language. Song is great example of BAROQUE (1600-1750) music sound (composition) in Modern Times with modern instruments. Forget "nw" (small letters), they are nothing. You have full support from me to playing acoustic guitar.

Definitely not my taste in music. I'd recommend Heart singing, Crazy On You or Alone, or the Kennedy Center Honors when they did Stairway to Heaven.

@@adnanreacts92 For sure it's okay. When I was introduced to LOVEBITES last year, I had to readjust my listening habits. I'm by far no metal head, but still it impressed me (I was looking out for Pink Floyd and got LOVEBITES, lol). Then I got through their 60+ song catalogue and found no miss, no filler song at all. All songs are at least very good. Many of them very fast, and there's so much happening! I wasn't used to that. Maybe try the song played before this one on that concert, "Edge Of The World". That one shows not only the fast sides of LOVEBITES...
For "Heart", that LZ performance at Kennedy Center is great, but I really appreciate that group since over 40 years now. From the 70s onwards, they have produced several excellent songs, some of them are real classics now. The Wilson sisters are still rocking, even at their current age. But in the 70s and 80s, they were on fire... I would add "Barracuda" to that list, but there are many more!
The live 1978 version of "Crazy On You" has a nice intro by Nancy Wilson btw. And Ann's vocal performance is out of this world!
