Cool message, I have been humbled and it's taught me patience a few times in my life. I fish when I can so this painting was extremely entertaining , and great artwork
I felt this. I have and am still experiencing what you’re talking about when it comes to sales of my work. Over the course of two years I think I’ve only sold 6 paintings. And although it can be a little discouraging at times I continue to paint. Not for the financial responsibilities but for the love and passion I have for creating. Never give up on your dream. I love what you’re doing and the content you out out and you have my support for whatever that is worth
Congrats on selling those 6 paintings though! Even that can feel like moving mountains at times. And thanks for the encouragement. I love creating and I don't think I could ever stop. Your support is worth and lot and knowing that complete strangers are dropping in, resonating, and appreciating the things that I'm creating keeps me going. I want to create a positive impact in this lifetime, so thank you for affirming that it means something to you. I'd love to check out your work. Feel free to drop a link.
They do. My parents are two of my biggest supporters and my partner has helped me get the space and tools I need to continue creating. Really grateful that I have their support!
@@summerthyme Aw, thanks for showing concern. I think I tried that very very hard and burnt out; a friend I painted with every morning ghosted me, so I was very sad, and I transformed this sadness and anxiety into cute paintings for them in the hope they come back, and they didn't. Painting through anxiety reminds me of loss and neglect that hurt me. But it sounds like your suggestion is like to find a new approach, and maybe if I just find a new approach to the craft I already love, I can form new memories and see it positively again. I might try some new things and hope to connect with myself. I hope you have a nice day, thank you :)
Oh, I see. That's really unfortunate.. I do hope you can find your own relationship with creativity again. Maybe another medium or a different art style could be a good way to ease yourself into it without getting triggered. And if you feel like you want to try your hand at painting through the anxiety again, make something that's just for yourself. Make it ugly and messy if that's how you feel and literally embody the uncomfortable feelings onto the canvas. I don't show those creations much publicly, but when I'm feeling something really challenging that usually helps me get it out of my body and I feel better after. I hope that helps - just my two cents so take it with a grain of salt.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I haven't gone fishing since I was a kid. Would love to go again in the near future.

@@summerthyme Definitely I would love to share some of my work. If just have to figure out how 😂
I’ll work on it lol
Beautiful painting Summer. Does your family support your work?
They do. My parents are two of my biggest supporters and my partner has helped me get the space and tools I need to continue creating. Really grateful that I have their support!
That seems fun. I wish I could let go of everything and be present, and I wish painting wasn't an anxiety trigger for me.
Oh, that makes my heart sad. I wonder if you could paint through the anxiety? Put the anxious thoughts into your painting?
