artists got hairy ampits now a days? anyway natural is beautiful and healthy.

I never got involved with any of the apps except YT and it has never been on my phone, only on my desktop in my studio. I use it mainly for only free music and podcasts. Except, I am guilty of wasting time scrolling occasionally. I simply never click on shorts. Staying informed about a diversity of subjects helps with not becoming too narrowed on creative ideas for art projects. Such as doing a series on the Peregrine Falcon in multiple styles. Currently painting an 36" x 24" abstract on a homeless camp to possibly reveal their home/community in a brighter light. I found the tents and various tarps and things great subject matter for shapes and color. I like to paint for 6 hrs or more sessions and the YT thing kind of helps me to wind down afterwords. While I do appreciate other artists showing their process and works on YT, I could never force myself to get involved with the time to create video. I can see the importance of sharing, but I guess I'm a bit too selfish with my time and art. I'm involved with two rather small sports in order to stay actively healthy, so I simply don't have much time left for anything except painting. My social connections with my friends in the 2 sports is plenty of diverse socializing for me. The more physical social seems much more quality than the phone app thing. I also reverted to purchasing pigments in order to better control the paint to my liking. I mostly like to keep my paint fairly dry and use only walnut oil. Except I use linseed cut with spirits when starting 1st coats for quicker drying time. (fat over lean). Iv'e learned to enjoy painting with brain fog. It's the best fog ever! Ha Ha

Fun :) The video sounded like poetry. I think one pillar that remains true is that I must work hard no matter what I choose. Beyond that I don't know. I try to not stagnate on uncertainty; when I work and buikd momentum, problems solve themselves or sinplify.

Maybe I'm just drawn to people with poets' souls. Your phrase "nourish my playful side" resonated with me. You could just as easily have said "indulge...", but "nourish..." is what it feels like to me too. The impulse to create is like part of the lifeforce, and just like it nourishes us, we need to nourish it. Good luck on this next leg of your journey.

Nice piece, and a fun process to watch, especially for me as a "ladder wuss", because a ladder just like that one played a big part in my weekend too. The inclusion of the outside lighting give a great sense of how long it all took and how focused you were the whole time. Is that gymnast swing thing always there, or did you set it up specially for breaks during this project?
