My favorite was definitely putting a mirror on the wall behind the buffet! That way, if you have any lights or candles on your buffet, the light from those will bounce back. In one of his latest videos, Nicholas Fairford did that in his new apartment and it looks great! He has an amazing garden level apartment and the entry bridge to the door of the apartment above is over his dining room window, making the room a little dark.
The plate wall at 0:45 is stunning-the blue paint color is magical, and I love the wallpaper on the wall behind the sideboard. It’s a really beautiful print. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous images and useful tips!

I just watched this video for the second time because it gave me so much inspiration. Our sideboard is in front of a window so it's nice and light. We recently painted it to update it and I now display some special pieces on a rattan mat. We're really happy the result. Thank you.

My husband and I are trying to incorporate some dark cherry tables he inherited into our new Florida home. He liked the idea of painting the tops dark blue to go with our casual coastal style. Great tip. Thanks.

I’ve always wondered what Hampton style would look like. I’m not so much into the nautical theme but I see quite a few items that I could incorporate in a country theme if I so wished.
You are so right! I love Hamptons as the blue and white colour palette is distinct to this style but the nautical element can be subtle or strong. My own home is relaxed country style but love interweaving different decor items and colours from other styles. xx
