INFP therapist here. It is true that sometimes I tear up when clients talk about very difficult experiences. But it's also true that I can use my ability to resonate in nuanced grades to adapt to the needs of my clients. I did recognise myself in a variety of types here, because I adapt a lot to my clients. Some get many hugs, some not even a handshake. Some get clear instructions about what to do, with some I'm just fascinated by their story. Love my job. My clients are all such wonderful people ❤😅
I'm and INFP too and many people in my life have told me I should be a therapist. We may cry but that same empathy is very important to understand other people and the best way to treat them, according to their needs and boundaries 😊 But huge respect for you because it must be a heavy load often.
Out of curiosity, is there a specific type of client that you see? I am an INFP as well, but sometimes the INTP stereotypes resonate more with me than the INFP ones- probably because I am (to use the old expression, ngl) considered highly intelligent, and I have what's commonly called Asperger's syndrome, which is most common in INTPs and INTJs (or at any rate, I think we tend to be Is and we're almost always Ns, and we slant toward T because of the sex ratio). That's to say that I lack patience with other people. I could probably manage to be a good therapist for people who genuinely came to sort out their issues, if that makes sense, but not for people who- and this could be for a rainbow of reasons- were not truly motivated to do so. Also, it pains me to get the sense that someone envies me without realizing what my life is really like (for example: a classmate in middle school once told me that I had no idea how lucky I was that my parents were still married. I didn't know what to say, because I was abused at home, and God, what I would have given for a family like his. That memory stings even now when I think of it) and so I can't suffer problems that I wish I had. I always listen but I often do so judgmentally; I am (as you can see) "brutally" honest about myself and others; and, in a school where grammar that makes you look like you're learning English in school is perfectly acceptable on a project for an AP class, my pedantry (which is what others would call my intolerance of error and inaccuracy, if they knew such a word) is perceived as sadistically irritating (although I still think I'm doing them a favor by *inspiring* them to step up their performance). Ironically, I have a dear ENFP friend who insists that seeing a therapist will help my social life (it's healthier than ever before, and I'm satisfied with that, but this friend eats and breathes "relationships"- only temporarily can she have enough of them). If you read all the way down here, thanks for really listening; you're golden. I'm sure someone is going to reply and tell me that was an unnecessarily long comment.
@@isitsweet9567 good morning ☀️❤️ I see all types of clients, my door is open for every person that wants to try if my services are useful to them. I have one client that has a lot in common with you, so reading your comment made me smile and immediately like you. 😊 Your friend maybe hopes that seeing a therapist could help you coping with the consequences of the abuse you suffered at home? Most people carry lots of inner scars and wounds from parental abuse and us therapists can often help with the healing. If you ever decide to see a therapist, make sure you feel comfortable with your therapist. Not every therapist suits every client. A good therapist treats you with respect and patience. As to the feeling of envy, usually we feel envy when we feel life has betrayed us. It's a very normal and justified feeling for someone who couldn't feel safe around their own parent, but also for someone who has to cope with a loss or a lack of basic resources. Satisfied people aren't envious, only unhappy people are. So envy in some way tells us we're lacking something important in life. And often it's not necessary to get exactly what we desire, but it's enough to find something else that covers our basic human needs to get rid of the feeling. I hope my answer was somewhat helpful. If not, feel free to ask again in a more specific way, I'll do my best to answer. I leave a package of love and hugs here for you in case you like those. If you don't want them, just leave the package here and don't open it 🎁🌷 Take care ❤️ Edit spelling
@@44EricRH44 in the beginning it's a bit more difficult to cope with all the emotions and the responsibility. But one gets better at putting limits with the years. You come to a point where you understand that your abilities are limited, hence also your responsibilities and that you only can do your job properly if you take good care of yourself. It's really important to have a good supervisor the first years and later it helps to have a group of colleagues for intervision.
i'm a physiotherapy (physical therapy), an INFJ i did reversed psychology so many times, and telling out the truth, it sounds shock but i'm telling the truth you know. it helps a lot, many time. i didn't filter much to some overthinking/depression /anxiety patient. all i need my patient is to use their own brain to think and feel other pain as well just connet the brain and heart or vice versa is common sense we coversation here. just make them awareness that they can make it without the need of surgery and be free from walking aid.
@@leongliyang6946 do you like what you do? I am also an INFJ and am considering your line of work to make me feel like I am actually helping people, but it's better to ask an infj who is doing it since I am so afraid of being burnt out on a daily basis
@@quirogatnonerrat3214 stress on the 1st pace but later on you claimed your happiness in the future. That's the best reward of all. Burnt out during work and it is so worth it.
This is spot on!!! I'm an INFJ, and literally my last session with my therapist, she told me I should be a social worker cause I have insight. That's what my parents, friends, and family said. So I tried and it didn't work. I'm just empathetic, not licensed 😂
INFJs (and ENFJs) make the best therapists with only slight differences. I love you guys for your existence, even if I know that you all are sometimes tired of this role. But everyone seeks you out because of your natural gift of making others feel understood. Not that other types can't be good therapists (I believe ISFJs and ESFJs have similar abilities with slight differences), but INFJs and ENFJs are really a different breed. I personally feel very proud of y'all but also quite sad because it sometimes really takes a toll on you (as portrayed in the video for INFJs specifically).
@@ayakopudding5483aww your words make me feel heartwarming and heartening . Thank you for saying kind words to other I mean I do apperciate your existence saying all of this , to me it's kinda cute you know 🥺
I have to point out something I've noticed. I looked it up, and INFJs are supposed to be one of the rarest personality types. Yet, the people I find most often in the comment sections are INFJs... .. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!
Just got home from a session and my therapist told me i should stop being a therapist to my friends/family and stop neglecting my own feelings 😅 Love being an infj, im basically in and out T-sessions 24/7, used to it ig oopsie
As an INFP this was spot on I love learning about psychology and I love people but I could never be a therapist because I would cry and worry about each patient and their problems I've got problems too but I would think about theirs all time 😭😭😭😭
mines kinda the same but its more about not being able to listen to them, interupting them to talk about myself cuz they reminded me of something, keeping zoning out and not understanding their emotions/feel how they felt. like they could cry their heart out and i just come back from a daydream and just say "huh? huh? hUH????" like, homie i understand your in pain bUT THERES SHRIMPS IN MY BRAIN DUELING OVER A BBQ AND THERES FOG MY BRAIN IS EMPTY I CANT DARE TO THINK CUZ I WOULD E X P L O D E too much thoughts too not enough thoughts
I feel the same way. Yet, I somehow can't help but want to help people when I see them sad. My default is to want to hug, but usually just listen. However, I know I never want to be a therapist because I was in PAL for a year in high school (first 2 years are training years) and realized, nope. Not for me. Too emotionally draining.
I do agree with you wholeheartedly. I still really want to be a a therapist (If I can't make world traveling photographer/food taster my profession) but for children specifically although I do worry about this
i'm a social work student and every time my client starts to cry, it makes me want to cry too :( i also tend to zone out occasionally in sessions cuz they'll say something that reminds me of something in my own life and i'll start to go down a rabbit hole hahah

It's very different if you want a psychologist with whom you just want to vent without listening to any of their advice, then an INTP is the opposite of what you are looking for because both of you will end up feeling very frustrated 😂 I feel that sometimes the stereotypes don't quite fit because I don't see myself as a psychologist at all 😅
As an INTP I like INFJ's alot for their ability to therapize me. My best friend is an INFJ aswell. And yeah, I am trying to get better at just listening 😅😅😅
I always thought INTPs would be great at this. Since analysing others and wanting to improve things is just a daily activity for them. And a healthy INTP is pretty good at reading others including their feelings. They only get sidetracked when they are part of the equation. As long as it’s not about their own feelings, they are pretty good at pin pointing the cause of traumas and how to make things work
I'm an INTJ therapist. I really DO listen... and then our keeeeeeen pattern recognition kicks in. I'm a fantastic case conceptualizer. For INTJs to be good therapists, we HAVE to pick the right modalities for our personality. For me, that's DBT and EMDR, which are complementary.
Thank you for sharing. I'm an INTJ with a suspected- to-be -ESTP mom who kept telling me to brush of and ignore any emotion-related issues. That landed me with 2 mental issue diagnoses later and having to figure quite a lot of how to deal with those issues on my own doing my own research online, watching free TH-cam videos of credible and liscened psychiatrists, trying to learn as much as I could with the resources available about psychology and mental health, introspection and retrospect. I did went to 2 psychiatrists and got medications (the 1st time it wasn't helping much with my 1st issue that later got resolved without therapy or medical intervention, the 2nd is helpful). Psychology is still a new field in my country so the most common way to deal with mental illnesses here is medications. Therapy wasn't even a thing until a few years after my 1st issue got resolved, which is about 9 years ago. (Edited: I mean that 9 years ago when I got my 1st diagnosis and got it resolve about 5 months later, therapy isn't a thing and if it was, it's not common knowledge. Even the most up-to-date large hospital I went to didn't do more than giving me medications. 9 years later which is 2024, therapy is available though not large scale.) I got some form of therapy by a church counselor but he has too much on his place to continue with my case (he has a whole procedure to help but no one else to execute it. Those who were still learning the basics did try to help me but despite being helpful for a while, they didn't get to the bottom of identifyign the causes the issues as he did.)
@@CarissaJenkins Everyone has been dumping their problems on me for lifetime--even people who are LITERALLY five times my age. And right now, I'm only fourteen. 😂
The combination of my INTJ and my daughter’s INFP in this video had me laughing real tears. The other day she told me, “I’m trying to comfort you and you’re making it impossible!” I didn’t need comforting, as we were just discussing a situation I have to deal with, and didn’t even realize that that was what she was trying to do until the outburst. And, when my daughter is talking to me I’m “not allowed” to be on any electronic device, because I’ll start looking up information on the topic she’s talking about in order to help and she thinks I’m “not listening.” (It’s ok for people to feel sorry for her. She puts up with a lot.) Mr. Frank James has hit the bullseye again!
As an INFP always in 16personalities personal development section , I can definitely say I cry on a daily basis whenever reading their depression issues . Exactly I would start crying at that "When I was 10 years old" because I will feel the pain of keeping a trauma since childhood , although it never happened to me
Sometimes other people crying makes me cry too. Even as a toddler in the nursery, when a kid would start crying for their mom I would cry, even though my mom worked in the nursery 😅
As an ENTP who knows that most infjs are the “therapist friend” they’re usually the only people I’ll actually go up to and ask them how they are, bc ik how much they need it after dealing with everyone, love y’all ❤ (and intjs too)
*Suppress the emotions* this sentence is legendary ! 🤣 💙 _Fun thing : INTJ & INFJ succeed to make people feel better. We understand everyone, but no one really understand us, we need to find other INTJ INFJ to understand us. I listen more when people say deep, sad, essential and interesting things.
My best friend is an INTJ and it was weird to finally have someone who thinks SO similar and to agree with how I look at the world. So long story short, I agree with you!
As a T/F flip (Dominant T), it's crazy how accurate BOTH were for me. It's also crazy how stuff just... works out... like... yeah, I meant to burn down the scaffolding of expected social roles thrust upon me, and it ended up helping the people around me grow more? Um... yeah, that's uh, actually really good. What... is actually happening, tho? Like, should I have just opened with this, or...? 🥴
its graet when people dont undestand you. its like a smoke screen protecting you except when its your mother and shes worried because you droppred out of college or something like that
As an INFP, every month I meet strangers at the train / at the park that tell me their whole stories and traumas. And I'm not even a therapist, I'm 19. People is been doing it since I was a kid. Everyone is desperate to have someone who listens and cares. And I adore helping them, I find human experiences fascinating. And I NEVER cry. I've never cried when someone gives me their heart to heal it. It's kind of weird how much I can empathize without crying, I don't even have the desire to cry, I cry later, alone in my room. I guess my emotions are so private to me. When I listen, I just concentrate with the story, without making it personal. Maybe it's daring and not humble but I believe I would be a brilliant therapist without having any studies. Just my intuition, caring nature, open-mindness and listening abilities.
First I said „nah not that accurate, I often talk about how feelings are so valid when it comes to stuff like this.“ and then I realized how as a solution for everything I always say „it’s a head thing. Once you control your mind, you win.“ like I told someone this just yesterday 😭 am I lying though?
I'm not surprised that the ISTP Therapist balked on his patient, because he's not emotionally equipped to deal with feelings. Poor patient, reliving his abandonment issues all over again!
I think maybe Frank doesn't like playing ISTP, because he has them gone so frequently. However, as an ISTP, I would never become a therapist in the first place. So yeah, that's definitely not being there. I hate dealing with upset friends and family even. But when I do have to do some kind of counseling, I sound like the ESTP or the ESTJ.
I think it's safe to say that most ISTPs feel like they've been a "therapist" their whole lives, listening to everyone's problems. It gets really exhausting for them, especially when they try to give someone a solution to what they're venting/complaining about, but the other person doesn't want a solution. And so the ISTP thinks: What other response can I give? Because in their heads, if there's a problem, it should be fixed right away instead of complaining about it. 😂 They'd rather tell people what they NEED to hear instead of what they WANT to hear, as this would seem more helpful, but sometimes this doesn't go over well. 😂 So yeah, I think most ISTPs would not even have a desire to become a therapist.
@@LiviaKpop Agreed. My ISTP spouse just walks away when I have any issues or seem upset. When I try to ask why he does that, he says it’s bc I don’t listen to his “solution”. Like he just thinks you can slap a simple solution to a problem and move on. Sorry, but taking deep breaths to no end isn’t going to make my anxiety go away just like that. You can’t so easily just slap some duct tape on a problem to make it go away.
@@Liat. Well it's not necessarily about a quick fix all the time. ISTPs know that some problems, especially deep ones, take time to solve. But it's more about trying to START resolving the problem as soon as possible. Because the sooner it can start being solved, the sooner a solution can be found, and the sooner people can move on to other things. (I'm not trying to generalize all ISTPs because everyone is different. This may not be true for every one and the degree of this may vary.) Have a wonderful day. 😊
I am an istj psychology student. When I consult with someone for my lesson, I definitely have the book and instructions in front of my eyes. This sketch looks very familiar lol.
Haha, I can definitely relate to INFJ being an unofficial therapist for his family and friends, only to rant about it with his actual patient. And wouldn't you believe it, his advice actually worked! 😂
I'm a female INTJ who managed to find an INTJ therapist- she worked with my then-employer's EAP. It's one of the few times I actually felt understood. Issue was, she wasn't a trauma specialist which is what I needed. She did refer me to the best in the area, so there's that. But it was nice to look across from me at someone listening and not asking the cliche, "how did that make you feel" because that question is useless to someone who's numbed by complex trauma.
Also a female INTJ. I had been to therapists on and off during difficult times and just hated that question! What kind of questions was that? I wanted to know what I was to think about that, or change what I am thinking or at least get an opinion on what the therapist thinks! What that question made me feel was anxiety.
I am an INTJ and I choose psychology because it's cool and I am deeply interested in itt I want to exploreee myself but when I think of these sessions with people I bw like I can do it easily using my techniques not understanding their emotions 🙂
My intj friend is also interested in psychology. It's so funny cause when I talk to her about my problem she'll just "seen" then I get upset cause she ignore it and she told me she didn't ignore it, she thought I send it to her cause i wanted someone to talk to (she read the message, just didn't realise I expected a reply to XD) I'm like bruh 🗿
Guess you will be unbeatable with the recognition of the illogic patterns of thought that made people go into the psychologist...and you have the Fi trait of valuing, so you can come out with practical recommendations to a better life
My brother is an INTJ and he's far more useful than my therapist. He is just very practical, which resonates with me because I'm an INTP. So I have health-related anxiety and I was worried about having MS, and he was like, "Michelle, if you were in a car crash and lost your arm, what would you do?" And I said, "Well, I'd have to learn to deal with it. I'd get heavy pans so I can stir food one-handed, I suppose." And he said, "And if the worst happens here, and you have MS, it's exactly the same. You'd learn to deal with it." Doesn't sound real sensitive, but oddly, that thought experiment helped a lot. It also helps that he doesn't get worked up about anything (visibly).
but why would you married to an ISTP when you are an INFJ, and a therapist? Can't you see that coming? 🤣 But I do want to know... what is the things in ISTP that you are attracted to?
@@wada-wadaSame here, INFJ married to an ISTP. Had no clue whatsoever about MBTI or psychology back then though. But now I see it, that as a person with extremely low Se it’s easy for us to appreciate the practical approach to life of the ISTP. Though had I known about MBTI back then as much as I do now, I may have not chosen the same path, since the apathy can be frustrating sometimes.
@@wada-wada Although there are some common problems that can arise in INFJ/ISTP relationships, it's important to remember that there's no such thing as a perfectly compatible pair in personality typing. (Just a quote from someone for you to think about). The differences help create wonderful balances and growth. I learn from his strengths and weaknesses (and vice versa). Let's just say our 27 years together have been a wonderful rollercoaster!! 🤣🤣
Well, people need to have the mindset that you get up in the morning and you make it the best day you possibly can- whether that means making it a good day, or simply hanging in there until tomorrow. Many people do seem to just waste away, wallowing in woe. So your services would be more valuable than you think. I'm an INFP, by the way.
As an ISTP, my friend says I'm a good therapist because I make people realise that their problems aren't actually as bad as they think I'm not sure whether I shoudk take that as a compliment or whether it's a hint to stop being so blunt and uncaring, but I don't really care
ISTJ leaning in to observe 😂 really love him reading the instructions 😄 and the guy sweating lol, INFJ managing to help even when they don't mean to 😅 ...felt for the guy talking to ESTP, he looked so dejected and that little 'ok' at the end, aww!
That was FANTASTIC. One of your best sketches so far. Can't pick my favorite part. Frank you are a good writer please keep entertaining us with more fantastic works like this one 🧡🧡
INTP here! It's really so true that I made dogs bark in the street with my laughter. I wanted to study psychology just to understand people's emotions. Fortunately, this did not happen and I am studying bioengineering. If I were to become a psychotherapist, I would need a therapist who would constantly emphasize that it is normal to feel emotions. Anyway, all my friends turn to me for useful advice in a difficult situation, not for sympathy, and that's great.
The fact that INTP has a therapist for feelings is just relatable The ENFJ is fun but will be stressful for long term The ESFJ patient is more of a problem than the ESFJ himself The ENTJ seems effective The INFJ plot twist 😮 that was really cool if intentional though
INTJ here, and I end up counseling people because they said that I always have words that helps them. I don't know exactly what, but I'm just trying to understand their problem, repeating it to them to see if I got it right, and I ask questions to dig up the root of their problems. So it's more of an investigating and problem solving session with me, but I rarely get an ounce of sympathy. At some point, I can relate here. 😂
@@FrankJames What an honor to get a reply from you :) Thanks for all the great content, the dedication you put into every video really shows. Have a great day.
the ESTJ is totally my mom lol.. being INFP myself hearing my mom tell me to just not feel emotions was even more heartbreaking than the thing I was already heartbroken about.
Oh my, that would be a tough dynamic to live with. My mom is an INTx (not sure if she's P or J) and she had a hard time relating to my emotions (I'm an INFJ). She tried lol
i just don't do feelings with my mom or any emoutional help i see my mom(estj) like a buldozer that will flatter everything just to get job done who as INTP strongly despise bc it isn't elegant and usually have 2 hour long argument about that job after we finish it...
And don't you find this skit very releasing? I always feel far better after every video, he makes my life's dramas a pure joke and it takes weight off my shoulders. Yes INFP here.
As an INFP who has been sought out by every friend and family member (and on occasion, by almost complete strangers) for free therapy sessions and advice all her life, I'm so darn confused right now. Has my life been a lie? 😂
No, INFPs usually serve as sounding boards and offer their insights for other people, and they love our insights and take them as advice as if we're providing therapy sessions when we're just talking, haha. The INFJs are the ones who know they're giving therapeutic advice but do it in a way that doesn't seem like they are, so it works well. I think INFJs have just enough empathy and yet natural detachment to understand the person and their issues BUT won't get bogged down by them. The INFP will be great as a therapist too but only once or twice because we won't be nearly as structured and we will be too bogged down by people's issues that we can either get too invested as if we're the ones who are hurting (but we'll keep it to ourselves) OR, for our own sanity, we end up shutting it out (in our own quiet way) to avoid dealing with that person's issues any longer.
Being used as a free therapist by family, friends and even strangers has been reported by many INFPs. At some point you have to put up boundaries if people "overuse" your empathy and your listening skills because you'll end up feeling drained.
I'm an INFP and yes I can relate. I think we just have a very safe and calming presense at times. I get the impression people who have a lot on their chest or who are perceived to be very loud/aggressive by others appreciate our patience and sensitivity. As was rightly said I do think we have trouble setting boundaries for ourselves over this because it can often lead us to be drained.
INFP was overly stereotyped, but the essence is right. I would just cry all the time and worry about my patients problems too (like I don't have enough to deal on my own and worry about the planet, animals and homelessness). I actually study psychology, but mainly to help myself haha. My favortie therapist here was the ENTJ. He seemed effective. Worst were ESTJ (repressing feelings like what?) and ENFJ (highly annoying, like the friend who tells you to just breathe when you are pissed off, which makes you more pissed off). Yet they are supposed to be my most compatible types lollll.
As an ENFP I can confirm my first instinct when some one is feeling low is to suggest an adventure, and obviously accompany them on said adventure! To break out of patterns and do something completely different or outrageous can be like a breath of fresh air or a glorious sunrise over life!
Getting out is the best thing. Life is full of nice people and things (like raspberries at a Farmers Market) and so worth experiencing. It distracts you completely from those negative thoughts in your head .
So I spat out my coffee😳😱 ☕around the INTJ marker 😂then stopped drinking said coffee until the end of the vid 🤣😂 you are rocking this stage, Frank! On a personal level thanks for the accurate fed up INFJ portrayal... I felt so seen! Recognised! ...finally! Kudos 🎭🎯✨😆👌 You are breezing through the skits, Frank, this was immensely enjoyable! As an ENFJ LMHC, I am so GRATEFUL for this video and will be writing this in my gratitude journal! Plus will be sharing this with my colleagues for some laughter therapy. You are my free therapy, Mr. Frank James!! I am so grateful for your existence
I am an INTP, and that one was relatable as heck. Sometimes I just using random logic and start correcting them. I'm a pretty good consoler/comforter therapist thingy, and this is definitely how I'd act if I wasn't serious.
@@luciatat4084 Lol!!! I know! That is why I was asking where mine was, hahaha! We really don't need it often, but when we do it really sucks because everyone is so used to us just being okay.
Thank you for putting my people right at the start! We INTJ do get asked for advice WAY often. It's why I bothered doing what I do, to just make what I'm already doing official.
Love this whole video! ❤ laughing the whole time 🤣🤣🤣 ENFJ is spot on! I get so mad when trying to vent to my ENFJ husband and he tells me to just count my blessings! Argh! 😝 As an ENFP I could definitely recommend a vacay as therapy, and I could also cry about the spelling bee like the INFP 😂
As an INFJ, this is literally a big reason why I had to withdraw from my Master’s program for counseling. I realized I could not be a professional therapist while everyone else constantly used me as one my whole life.
These are hilarious! ESTJ - 'just stop feeling bad and give me your money' - I have an ESTJ friend who would not make a good therapist lol! And ENFJ - you called me out on it - so grateful so many were spared my going for a counseling masters! INFP LOLOL!
As an ENTP who has been through depression, still healing I would say that if I were a therapist, my advice would be very logical and I would be very understanding of my patient....would just give them an unbiased side of what they are going through because mental disorders really do take control of your thoughts and your reality becomes way too distorted.
Oh stop!😅 Frank you are awesome my favorites were the ESTP and the ENTJ therapist. So horrible, yet, so right!😭🤣 Funny side note an ISFP friend put both her children (ENFP and ENTJ) in art therapy. So I actually laughed out loud hearing the ISFP therapist suggest it. So on point. You're good. ;)
As an INFJ that has been a free therapist up until now, some hugs from ISFJs really help sometimes because no one asked us how are doin or am I actually alright. Its very lonely as infj despite how many people around us. Thank you ISFJs! 😊
I'm a ISFJ but i'd never ever hug a stranger or someone in a professionsal setting. Isn't that odd, but i've done the test many times i always get ISFJ and i have more of the traits that any other of the 'personalities'.
I would definitely hug a lot more people because I’m a touchy feely ISFJ but I also respect the other person’s preference and deeply observe if they’re a hugger or not. Most of the time, I get it right and hug at just the right time and it always makes others feel so loved! But I will love you from a distant if you don’t want to hug
After savouring this video for several times I must say that ESTP and ISTJ are the top hilarious here 😂their performance was fantastic 👌 And another thing, this video gets more hilarious the more I watch it 😂🧡 Thanks Frank, you give me something to watch this weekend. Have a great one yourself 🧡
In real world you will probably found istj as psychologist , (experienced lol now can toying with him cz i am just a normal entp whose intj is stable by another intj)so please if you have an infj friend you are lucky like me❤❤
Right on the money again! INFP here who decided not to become a counselor/psychologist because I knew I would just cry with the people and be so depressed from their problems.
INFJ is spot on. I've been everyone's therapist for as long as I can remember, even back to friends in elementary school. I was the person other's felt comfortable confiding in or going to for advice (including strangers). Everyday conversations unwittingly turned into therapy sessions. Mostly I didn't mind as it came naturally, but occasionally it would be a reminder that I did not receive the same support from others.
Pff 😂 the ESFP was doing an amazing job, music education + stress relief, I really don't understand (😇) why the patient was so taken aback 🤣 that was actually a great exercise ~INTJ
Right? He was killing it. As an INTJ, I was suddenly wondering where *I* could find an ESFP therapist for some therapeutically guided rockin' out. Then I thought, "INTJ... ESFP... That's not a coincidence, is it?" ESFPs, build that therapy practice!
As an INTJ, if they aren't saying anything interesting or I realize they just want to hear themselves talk I tune that jazz out. This is especially true if I've already given the person advice to help them avoid what they are now bitching about. If I try to warn you and you don't listen don't you dare waste my time trying to make me listen to your BS---AGAIN. I would do exactly what this INTJ therapist did, pretend to listen. Especially if I've already heard the same BS previously from the same patient, gave them advice and they CHOOSE to keep doing the thing they are bitching about...
LOL. I laughed so hard during the INFJ segment. As one myself, I often feel this way, and when I get very bad people-burnout (I work in a market)... tend to get fairly irritated and annoyed when due space is not given. 🙃
The ENFJ is dead on, a friend of mine is an ENFJ and I was feeling down one day and she was like "name 5 things you’re grateful for!" Feeling on the spot I said I didn't know; she was like "what about me, I'm helping you" LOL Also I liked the ESFP song, is this a transition from rap to rock/metal.. is there any music you can't play, asking for a friend! Great job, thanks for brightening our day and at the risk of sounding cringey, but if you don't post on Sunday, I wanted tell you- Happy Father's Day!

I've been a subscriber for a very long time and I think this is your most accurate video ever. I know all of those people! The INFJ was painfully accurate for me, since I became a therapist partly because everyone else told me I was already doing it for free. The anger at always being used that way is real too.
Wow, this one is so good. And very few props, no locations... It's all talent. All with a newborn too! -the infj being the final punchline makes me happy too 😂
Hey Frank, you've got MAD ACTING SKILLS!!! And you are always improving your range with nuance and deadon accuracy. Thank you for your hard work. Keep it up 🎉
ESTJs wouldn’t go five minutes without breaking patient-confidentiality. Most of them couldn’t resist the urge to gossip if their family line depended on it.
Have an ESTJ friend and same. Her “advice” is mostly a variation of “just deal with it” and to eat healthier and get up early to exercise like she does.
The irony that the INTJ was the most professional and effective outside of this particular one not having an inner monologue for the sake of comedy. On a personal note: I am actively listening and remembering just enough to keep my dossier on you going, but I am absolutely discarding the nonsense that doesn't help you and is otherwise a distraction from either of us helping you help yourself.
How it is accurately demonstrated is that an INFJ becomes instantly happy when their counterpart figures out their own answer, even after saying 'I don't have all the answers' just a second ago. 😂 I can relate to this so much lol.
@@peacefulsoundtracks It really is haha 🤣 I've been helping students who need help for many years and somehow even when I didn't know all the answers they figured their way out. Then I would be "Well, Glad I could help!"
This comment section feels like such a safe place to me. 💕 You nailed it as per usual, Frank. And also... I'm always here relating to the INFJs lmao 🥴 - a very overwhelmed INFP.
I love this sketch so much! All the personalities are hilarious, especially ISFP and INFJ, but what really kills me is the patient in each scenario! 16 hairstyles with that wig! That closed-mouth talker kills me every time, too!😂🤣
If people are coming to me for help, they probably can't help me, so try being around people that need less help, at least you won't feel less drained and resentful.
Hi Frank, I enjoy all of your content for almost two years. Thank you for your regular contributions, I have learnt so much in these two years and have developed as a personality as well! So it has had an immense impact on me and I enjoy every new video. And I would be really happy to see in the future how the odd couples interact with each other, some examples of that. In my perception it looks a little bit like a clash of two worlds, colliding, in different rhymes, albeit sometimes in the same direction towards the same goal. Which I find quite sad, such an amount of misunderstandings. I think to see one’s own type and the odd partner trying to catch on that would be so encouraging for understanding of one’s own type on another level. What is your perspective on this please? I would appreciate it a lot. :)
my bf is an ENFJ and when i vent out to him, he'd tell me a couple of positive advices, he makes me laugh with his jokes; he literally save my day. as an INFP who have been dealing with a mental health issue, i couldn't be more thankful to have met him. though, we are ocean apart, i can feel his warm comfort through his words.
Another good video, the most amazing thing is how it was done and with that complexity, the confidence, wow. Not many can organize as much as the 16 personalities, wow. Frank is very used to it, it's serious, nice and hard work. Amazing how someone can handle so much information and show the skills to act on it, a wish or dream for many, good expectations, so op. Top notch of the category with style, never stop doing it Frank, you nailed it.
This was lots of fun! :) I had a therapist once who spoke for 95% of the time of the session. I thought they were suppose to listen. Since then I wondered what her personality type was. She said she was a teacher before. I could definitely feel that vibe. I didn't go back.
Great vid (as always)! As an INFJ myself, I can definitely relate to the INFJ therapist…😅 (Also, I love the callback to your older vid with the misspelling of “sketch” at the spelling bee.🐝)

@@isitsweet9567 good morning ☀️❤️
I see all types of clients, my door is open for every person that wants to try if my services are useful to them.
I have one client that has a lot in common with you, so reading your comment made me smile and immediately like you. 😊
Your friend maybe hopes that seeing a therapist could help you coping with the consequences of the abuse you suffered at home?
If you don't want them, just leave the package here and don't open it 🎁🌷
Take care ❤️

INFJs (and ENFJs) make the best therapists with only slight differences. I love you guys for your existence, even if I know that you all are sometimes tired of this role. But everyone seeks you out because of your natural gift of making others feel understood. Not that other types can't be good therapists (I believe ISFJs and ESFJs have similar abilities with slight differences), but INFJs and ENFJs are really a different breed. By the way, my boyfriend is an INTP and I can assure you that he would be a very good psychologist if he wanted to be one because his advice is very logical and really helpful (and I say that being an INFJ). It's very different if you want a psychologist with whom you just want to vent without listening to any of their advice, then an INTP is the opposite of what you are looking for because both of you will end up feeling very frustrated 😂
I feel that sometimes the stereotypes don't quite fit because I don't see myself as a psychologist at all 😅
As an INTP I like INFJ's alot for their ability to therapize me. My best friend is an INFJ aswell. And yeah, I am trying to get better at just listening 😅😅😅
One IxFJ girl friend I have and I, male xNTP, are mutual "therapists".
I always thought INTPs would be great at this. Since analysing others and wanting to improve things is just a daily activity for them. And a healthy INTP is pretty good at reading others including their feelings. They only get sidetracked when they are part of the equation. As long as it’s not about their own feelings, they are pretty good at pin pointing the cause of traumas and how to make things work
I'm and ISTJ and I'm the "therapist" friend. People come to me to vent or for advice

I'm an INTJ therapist. I really DO listen... and then our keeeeeeen pattern recognition kicks in. I'm a fantastic case conceptualizer.

9 years later which is 2024, therapy is available though not large scale.)
I got some form of therapy by a church counselor but he has too much on his place to continue with my case (he has a whole procedure to help but no one else to execute it. Those who were still learning the basics did try to help me but despite being helpful for a while, they didn't get to the bottom of identifyign the causes the issues as he did.)

Just my intuition, caring nature, open-mindness and listening abilities.

as an INTP, that is scarily accurate. I pretty much do that whenever someone comes to me for advice 💀
First I said „nah not that accurate, I often talk about how feelings are so valid when it comes to stuff like this.“ and then I realized how as a solution for everything I always say „it’s a head thing. Once you control your mind, you win.“ like I told someone this just yesterday 😭 am I lying though?

Yeah. I definitely do the whole spelling out the situation bluntly thing too.
So yeah, I think most ISTPs would not even have a desire to become a therapist.
As an istp... I'd be a terrible therapist.
I don't think the istp balked on the patient so much as they probably didn't exist in the first place 😂

Saaaame!

@@Liat. 🤣🤣🤣 same but I think I may have chosen him nonetheless!! The whole INFJ save the world thing I suppose! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm an ISTP and I gotta say that one was pretty accurate. I'd be a terrible therapist cause I'd just tell my patients to get over it
Same, that or tell them to go to the gym and start working out.
Frrr I’m an ISTP and if I was to be a therapist I’d just say, ‘just go and do stuff about it’
As an ISTP, I am very good at stealth.
As an ISTP, my friend says I'm a good therapist because I make people realise that their problems aren't actually as bad as they think
I'm not sure whether I shoudk take that as a compliment or whether it's a hint to stop being so blunt and uncaring, but I don't really care
ISTJ leaning in to observe 😂 really love him reading the instructions 😄 and the guy sweating lol, INFJ managing to help even when they don't mean to 😅 ...felt for the guy talking to ESTP, he looked so dejected and that little 'ok' at the end, aww!
Idk why the ISTJ read the therapist s note out loud though, he should have read the manual and remembered it beforehand if anything lol
@@edi0157 Yes that would have been a better plan lol 😊
That was FANTASTIC. One of your best sketches so far. Can't pick my favorite part. Frank you are a good writer please keep entertaining us with more fantastic works like this one 🧡🧡

This was brilliant! Also the patient's wig./ hairstyle ... A dream come true
The fact that INTP has a therapist for feelings is just relatable
The ENFJ is fun but will be stressful for long term
The ESFJ patient is more of a problem than the ESFJ himself
The ENTJ seems effective
The INFJ plot twist 😮 that was really cool if intentional though
The funny thing about INFJ is, it's absolutely true. All the words he said. 🤣
If ENTJ knows how to get to the result he will get there no matter how painful it is to get there.
@@Yoshi-King15 As an ENTJ, can confirm I do this. Also, do you know what the expression 'Take it easy' means? I think I forgot it about 3 years ago.
@@Yoshi-King15 lol our drive for efficiency. Good observation.
That's exactly how therapy works ! Instead of sympathy and pitty people prefer when u relate to them and find the root cause lol
I love the problems you’ve chosen for the patients! They make the reactions and approaches of the personalities so much funnier 😂
Honestly maybe my favorite video of yours lately. Especially the xxTJs were brilliant here - so spot on and yet not stereotypical 👏
Wow, thank you!
That's alful I'm sorry sending love from a INFP☺️😸❤️❤️❤️
Oh my, that would be a tough dynamic to live with. My mom is an INTx (not sure if she's P or J) and she had a hard time relating to my emotions (I'm an INFJ). She tried lol
The ESTJ was my inner voice before I started meds & therapy.
i just don't do feelings with my mom or any emoutional help i see my mom(estj) like a buldozer that will flatter everything just to get job done who as INTP strongly despise bc it isn't elegant and usually have 2 hour long argument about that job after we finish it...
And don't you find this skit very releasing? I always feel far better after every video, he makes my life's dramas a pure joke and it takes weight off my shoulders. Yes INFP here.
I'm an INTJ but I'm a good listener (mostly) 😅 it's only sometimes when I zone out but I try to be as attentive as possible.
Love this☺️ sending love from a INFP ❤️❤️❤️
@@MC-kk8xu yess same here☺️😸❤️ sending love from a infp
INFP was overly stereotyped, but the essence is right. I would just cry all the time and worry about my patients problems too (like I don't have enough to deal on my own and worry about the planet, animals and homelessness). I actually study psychology, but mainly to help myself haha. My favortie therapist here was the ENTJ. He seemed effective. Worst were ESTJ (repressing feelings like what?) and ENFJ (highly annoying, like the friend who tells you to just breathe when you are pissed off, which makes you more pissed off). Yet they are supposed to be my most compatible types lollll.
I don't think I've laughed harder at an FJ sketch! The ISTJ nailed it; I had to rewatch 😂
As an ENFP I can confirm my first instinct when some one is feeling low is to suggest an adventure, and obviously accompany them on said adventure! To break out of patterns and do something completely different or outrageous can be like a breath of fresh air or a glorious sunrise over life!
YESSS (I’m one too)
This is why I love ENFPs lol
FRRR 😭😭
ENFP female here. I like to suggest iced tea or coffee and snacks. Keep yourself nourished! You will feel better. And just get out in the world.
Getting out is the best thing. Life is full of nice people and things (like raspberries at a Farmers Market) and so worth experiencing. It distracts you completely from those negative thoughts in your head .
I loved each personality type as therapists 😂😂 this was hilarious
So I spat out my coffee😳😱 ☕around the INTJ marker 😂then stopped drinking said coffee until the end of the vid 🤣😂 you are rocking this stage, Frank! On a personal level thanks for the accurate fed up INFJ portrayal... I felt so seen! Recognised! ...finally! Kudos 🎭🎯✨😆👌
You are breezing through the skits, Frank, this was immensely enjoyable! Here's another 🧡👋👋
As an ENFJ LMHC, I am so GRATEFUL for this video and will be writing this in my gratitude journal! Plus will be sharing this with my colleagues for some laughter therapy. You are my free therapy, Mr. Frank James!! I am so grateful for your existence
This is spot on!! I’m an INFJ therapist and this is definitely my inner monologue with clients on a daily basis 😂
😂😂😂 I am an infj and I am not a therapist but some people treat me as if I’d be one. And sometimes it can get too much.
As an ENFJ I can confirm I DO NOT do that but still the ENFP one was really wholesome :)
As an ENFJ, I 100% told my depressed friend to make a list of things he was grateful for. 😬🤔😆

We INTJ do get asked for advice WAY often. It's why I bothered doing what I do, to just make what I'm already doing official.
Having a close ENFJ friend is like having a therapist sometimes. I can tell you that that is EXACTLY how she sounds!
Love this whole video! ❤ laughing the whole time 🤣🤣🤣 ENFJ is spot on! I get so mad when trying to vent to my ENFJ husband and he tells me to just count my blessings! Argh! 😝

As an ENFJ going to college to become a clinical psychologist, I'm worried 😂😂😂
As an INTJ, who's gonna be a therapist, i find this really funny.
Best Skit EVER!!! JF, You've outdone yourself once again. Each type was SPOT ON! You inspire me, man.
As an INFJ, this is literally a big reason why I had to withdraw from my Master’s program for counseling. I realized I could not be a professional therapist while everyone else constantly used me as one my whole life.
I'm literally savouring this 🧡. I hope you will do another part of the 16p living in a house and put them in different scenario.
These are hilarious! ESTJ - 'just stop feeling bad and give me your money' - I have an ESTJ friend who would not make a good therapist lol! And ENFJ - you called me out on it - so grateful so many were spared my going for a counseling masters! INFP LOLOL!
That was awesome! :) Hope we get a part two, these therapy videos are always fun to watch! Also, great acting!!
As an ENTP who has been through depression, still healing I would say that if I were a therapist, my advice would be very logical and I would be very understanding of my patient....would just give them an unbiased side of what they are going through because mental disorders really do take control of your thoughts and your reality becomes way too distorted.
Oh stop!😅
Frank you are awesome my favorites were the ESTP and the ENTJ therapist. So horrible, yet, so right!😭🤣 Funny side note an ISFP friend put both her children (ENFP and ENTJ) in art therapy. So I actually laughed out loud hearing the ISFP therapist suggest it. So on point. You're good. ;)
isfp friend having entj child? dude that's completely opposite personas
As an ISFJ who loves recieving and giving hugs, I see this as an absolute win
As an INFJ that has been a free therapist up until now, some hugs from ISFJs really help sometimes because no one asked us how are doin or am I actually alright. Its very lonely as infj despite how many people around us. Thank you ISFJs! 😊
@@saion2390 No problem! 😊
I'm a ISFJ but i'd never ever hug a stranger or someone in a professionsal setting. Isn't that odd, but i've done the test many times i always get ISFJ and i have more of the traits that any other of the 'personalities'.
@@tasha5768I’m the same. I’m totally ISFJ but I don’t like to hug strangers
As an INFP, this is spot on and apparently all of the therapists I have been to were ENFJs 😂

I have two ENFJ siblings and they’re so much like that, but more grounded about it, haha.

Right on the money again! INFP here who decided not to become a counselor/psychologist because I knew I would just cry with the people and be so depressed from their problems.
My mom is an ESTJ and I am an INFJ. Damn, it's so relatable. When I feel depressed that's exactly how she acts just like in this video.
My mom is estj too.
"i didn't ask about your heart, i asked about your head"
me if i was rude enough to tell people the truth behind my questions about their life
INFJ is spot on.
This is amazing, Frank. Also, I am not an ESTP, but I actually feel like that's pretty good advice.
"This is my childhood all over again"😂
As an INTJ, if they aren't saying anything interesting or I realize they just want to hear themselves talk I tune that jazz out. This is especially true if I've already given the person advice to help them avoid what they are now bitching about. If I try to warn you and you don't listen don't you dare waste my time trying to make me listen to your BS---AGAIN. I would do exactly what this INTJ therapist did, pretend to listen. Especially if I've already heard the same BS previously from the same patient, gave them advice and they CHOOSE to keep doing the thing they are bitching about...
In one ear, out the other. Tell us all of your problems and we wont gossip about it to anyone, cause we don't remember what you told us anyway. - INTJ
LOL. I laughed so hard during the INFJ segment. As one myself, I often feel this way, and when I get very bad people-burnout (I work in a market)... tend to get fairly irritated and annoyed when due space is not given. 🙃
The ENFJ is dead on, a friend of mine is an ENFJ and I was feeling down one day and she was like "name 5 things you’re grateful for!" Feeling on the spot I said I didn't know; she was like "what about me, I'm helping you" LOL
Also I liked the ESFP song, is this a transition from rap to rock/metal.. is there any music you can't play, asking for a friend!
Great job, thanks for brightening our day and at the risk of sounding cringey, but if you don't post on Sunday, I wanted tell you- Happy Father's Day!
INFP's ... we're at the 4:34 mark ... crying again, cuz yeah, that's all we do. YAWN.

@@nataliegivan8726 oh, ESTJs. Such toxic morons.

WOW! That Jack Black impression was on point! 3:24

I'm a jaded INFP counsellor. Therefore I most appreciate the ESTJ therapist. Not kidding, sometimes it really is that simple.
I love this sketch so much! All the personalities are hilarious, especially ISFP and INFJ, but what really kills me is the patient in each scenario! 16 hairstyles with that wig! That closed-mouth talker kills me every time, too!😂🤣
LOL INFJ is completely accurate. We love to help but also get frustrated/resentful bc we are ALWAYS the helpers. Where’s our love & care too?? 😩
If people are coming to me for help, they probably can't help me, so try being around people that need less help, at least you won't feel less drained and resentful.
This could be your best yet. I was laughing out loud at some parts there. Brilliant stuff!
Same thing happened to me, I was just like, what is even the point is she is just going to keep talking about herself
