    Hi Steph,
Is the transit pass that I paid for commuting from and to my workplace qualify to deduct my taxes.
The pass was provided by my university and was was in fess.
It was at a rate lower than the regular price.
For example- Bus pass in HRM was 82.5 a month.
But I paid around 190 dollars for 8 the 8 month period when I was a student.

Hey, there used to be a public transit tax credit but it was eliminated based on Budget 2017 (Source: www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/programs/about-canada-revenue-agency-cra/federal-government-budgets/budget-2017-building-a-strong-middle-class/public-transit-tax-credit.html). I would check with your accountant as transportation costs from home to work wouldn't count but from workplace 1 to workplace 2 can be tax deductible.
