Combat Control Suitability Screening

No. 4 Squadron, headquartered at RAAF Base Williamtown, New South Wales, provides Air Force with the Combat Control capability.
Combat Controllers (CCT) are specially selected, trained and equipped air-to-surface integration specialists supporting Special Operations and Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief (HADR) mission profiles.
The role of CCT is to integrate, synchronise and control the elements of air and space power at the tactical level that enable the execution of precision strike and military advance force operations. Prior to selection, candidates are required to attend a screening week to ascertain their suitability for the role

The next thing the RAAF need to do is reinstate NO's 5 & 9 Squadrons and equip them with Pave hawks, Little birds and MH-47 Chinooks and have them as the special operations helicopter squadrons supporting the SASR and CDO regiments. Similar to the Night Stalkers of the US Army, and raise a squadron of our own PJT's also.
