I had the exact same question minutes ago and I saw that this car is not made with the same metal on all of it's parts. Only the metal used on the cabin has ultra high resistance not allowing deformation that could injure the passengers. The metal used on the front and the back of the car can deform to absorb impact on a front crash or a crash from behind.
Its the way how the car structure should absorb impact. It would be nice in terms of Gs to deform the cabin but it would be most probably deadly. There are deformation structures in the car which are validated on different types of impact where Gs and also how the structure deforms is important. It is quite a science how the car should absorb the energy without critical parts deforming too much. There are also these crash test cases which are well defined and most of the manufacturers are trying to achieve highest score which doesnt always means the car is safer. It is just safer in the terms of these defined collisions but there are some some variations in different collisions
