Yelan is the only character that I have C6 as of now. She's worth it.
Umm I know I'm late but I don't have a another bow that Yelan can use I don't have very good now luck I don't have eldy nor any more favous bows as my donia and faru use them the only weapon I thought was good on her was an r5 slingshot which is a three star weapon I don't have any other weapons for her so are there any other options that I use cause I have no idea what now I have that I can put on her

Her damage scale of HP which make her easy to build, tanky while still do good damage.
Using bow allow her to hit those flying enemy. Aim for weakspot.
Her skill good for exploring also a good escape button to gain some distance away or toward your enemy.
Yelan speed, range and tankiness make her a main battle tank.
And best of all, she's hot
And those target challenges is easy for Yelan and dont need to switch to Ganyu xD
her aoe charged shot also makes exploding barrel time trials really easy if you’re bad at aiming (like me lol)
I will say that Yelan will save you from a migraine or three when bosses like Golden Wolflord, Ruin Serpent, and Setekh Wenut appear in floor 12 with just how much single target damage she does (and nearly a guaranteed win if you're using Yelan hyperbloom)
Not just single target but ranged single target. You don't even need to stay close to the boss. And if you need to, you just use her dash.
I guess Xingqiu just doesn't exist
I use her for Hyperbloom and holy fuck... The team is busted. But the focus in single target is so bad that I had to add Kokomi in the flex spot just so I have SOME AoE.

Yelan is my most used character. I still farm overworld artifacts and ores and she's unmatched in traveling between these spots. Plus she's pulled a thorn out my side a number of times in Abyss.
For travel, she has great synergy with Sayu (Sayu can dash about twice as far as Yelan but is slower) and Wanderer (his cooldown of 6 seconds exactly matches Yelan's 6 second dash). And I'm all up for trying her out with Lynette.
I got my first 36 stars because of her. She’s a beast and she’s super fun and convenient and easy to build

Don't forget the over world! Yelan is the fastest sprinter in the game. I use her daily to farm mats, explore etc.

Honestly, I don't care because most of the time I just like playing characters that I really like in the overworld.
So unless I have to get some mats, I don't use her skills or I just don't use her at all.
Lynette will be free and she will be better because she is an anemo, she will be better if you have Kazuha or Venti or Wanderer in your team (Kazuha, Venti and Wanderer are very good in the overworld).

I was gonna pull for her but I'm happy with my current abyss teams. And we get a double husbando patch in the next version so that takes priority.😂😂😂 Maybe next year, Yelan.

I got Yelan in 3.4 (was saving for Kazuha when she came out in 2.7). She's powerful, as she's an extremely good candidate for Elegy for the End if you need someone to hold it. Yelan has never left my overworld team, and I use her in Abyss with Hu Tao. I even crowned her Burst. She's S+/SS tier imo.
when you have to struggle to find downsides and reasons to not pull a char, you know that char is top tier
shes just ugly and bow user. That's enough reason to not pull for her.

Just to clarify to the people out there: Yelan is strong, but not mandatory. If you're like me, and you don't have many teams who are NA focused and need a hydro unit (teams like Vaporize,Hyperbloom and National), then you're better off having Kokomi in your teams (basically teams like Freeze,Taser and Bloom). A lot of people compare her to Nahida and Kazuha, but she isn't universal enough to be compared to them.
In case of freez is fair, but in a lot tazer team you use NA-s and even in some bloom teams epseically if you use Nahida to drive. I think she still pretty universal, but Xinqui is just the more universal hydro unit.
You'd have to be an idiot to ever think she is "mandatory" just because someone said she's good.

Kokomi's strength is to be a decent character who fits into many teams, but the character itself is systematically replaceable today, sometimes by 4* characters for a better result Candace C6 + YaoYao in bloom team. I almost never play her anymore, even in Shinra Tensei, no really need for healing in freeze team, I prefer Mona's buff. Yelan is incomparably better in a box.

I have 190 wishes and I stopped playing when her first banner came out. It was a rough time back then before Sumeru but after coming back to genshin and blowing up Sumeru with my exploration ive been able to get enough wishes to guarentee a character. I don't know my current pity since its been well over 6 months since my last pull (I believe Hu Taos first rerun) im hoping that it comes earlier than later but if its a 50/50 and I lose, I might decide to save the guarantee for Focalors. I know there will be more primos with events, exploration, leveling up some random tree with hydro sigils, as well as the 10 wishes we will get from the anniversary so im not worried that I wont get Focalors if I do win 50/50 and have to come up with another 80 or so wishes.
If the title refers to the best at their peak, I 100% agree. If at c0, then I think nahida and kazuha are better.

Yelan vs Xingqiu TLDR
Yelan does slightly more damage at c0 than xingqiu at c6, however xingqiu gives you damage reduction, resistance to interruption and a little bit of healing
c6 Xingqiu also has more hydro app than c0 Yelan
you also don't have to look at xingqiu's haircut outside of the abyss because you'll probably replace any overworld team with him with Yelan given that she does basically the same thing combat-wise, movement speed and a bow for the challenges.

I played 1.0, then didn't come back until the Yelan/Hutao banner. Yelan was my first limiited 5-star, who I got C1 and R1 Aqua. I'm planning on going for C2 while trying for Lynette constellations. But who I really want is Raiden, and I'm losing my mind waiting for her next rerun. I can't believe Yelan is rerunning again before Raiden
if i remember correctly she is set to come same with zhongli either 4.1 or 4.2

i came back to this video bcs im still on the fence about getting yelan after losing the 50/50 to jean & debating on saving for a potential c1 focalors and man i still can’t decide 😅. imo, after playing genshin for a while, i think it might be best to save my guaranteed for focalors bcs she’s an archon but man this hurts so much cause i find her skill really fun in her trials. i unfortunately don’t even have enough primos to guarantee a yelan, so i would be basically building pity which means i prob can’t go for freminet if i do continue.
😭i feel so bad for skipping her a 3rd time but i swear, as long as her next rerun isn’t with ei or arlecchino, she’ll come home. 🙏🥲i hope.

On my account she is the strongest character. I have xinqui c6, kazuha and nahida so i do have other strong charactes but she just clears way faster in teams she is on than xinqui and most important for me is just overworld tbh
I have pulled for a copy every time she has had a banner. It’s so hard to resist her. Im c2 now and couldn’t be happier. Went for some more Lynette copies after and snagged an early Keqing so now I’m saving for the archon. Soooo sooo happy. Always pull for yelan.. always
I LOVE Yelan!!! She is a part of my main team, the laziest team that you can have to explore, complete (non-cryo) domains, or quests: Ayato, Ayaka, Yelan, and Ganyu. For Cryo enemies, I swap out Ayaka and Ganyu for Bennett and Zhangling.
I won Yelan and i am so happy with her, even at level 70. I can feel the power increase and i already know her spot will be cemented in my teams! Can't wait to get her to level 90. Next up, Focalors!
Yelan is so good even it teams where she has no synergy with would still increase the dps of the teams overall dps compared to other options.
With the city of hydro and the new hp mechanic she might get a big buff if we have someone having an ability to buff hp

I pulled Yelan a few weeks back.. shes already C2. I might regret it, but I doubt it.
Here are my 2 cents. If you don't have her and don't want her, skip. *IF* you have 0.01% doubt of whether to pull for her or not, DO IT. Here's the thing, Yelan just recently reruned in february and now in 4.0. It is almost guaranteed that she won't be coming back soon and there is this thing I have noticed in my short amount of time playing(I started in 3.3), EVERY *new* character that releases, gets a rerun within 3-4 patches down the line, *IF* you skip yelan now, you might regret it later as you might have to wait until next summer to see her again unless they add 3ple banners from 4.5 onwards. For me, I will most likely be skipping Focalors in 4.2 as she will most certainly be back by 4.5 and I can already complete the abyss and all that, so I will try my best to get Zhongli in this run and maybe, just maybe Wriothesley and then save until 4.5 for Focalors.
The only one that this doesn't apply to is kazuha and shenhe , and albedo but noone wants him anyways.

as someone who main c0 yelan with her sig weapon and semi mid artifacts, now im tempted for her c1 if i wasnt desperate for ayato in 4.2 ;;
loved her from the very first day. spared hard to get more constellations on her at every rerun. she is C6 now, and she rules over teyvat :)
my favourite yelan teams:
- hyperbloom: Yelan - Nahida - EM Raiden - ZhongLi
- mono hydro: Yelan - Mona - Kazuha - ZhongLi
- vape: Hu Tao - Yelan - Xingqiu - X (Zhong, Kazuha, or Xianling, according situations)
Try: Yelan, Furina, Nahida (ambar prototype if your furina is c0), Kuki
My f2p kuki getting 1,400 EM without c6 is crazy haha
At c6 this mono hydro (hypercarry) is just better but since you mentioned hyperbloom...
To vaporize yelan c2+ is more than enough hydro
after losing pity i was conflicted over getting another hydro right before furina and neavi but yk what. childe and zhongli are there for a good time. i now have a yelan.
I have her c0 and she really is deserving of that tier 0 rating. I really want her c1 for overworld and to be able to reasonably use Aqua on her. I'll see how I feel about it tomorrow, it may or may not be worth going for Lynette cons for me. I think Yelan will gain in value during Fontaine due to her HP scaling and Xingqiu will lose relevance with ATK scaling. It does seem like quite a few characters are going to not work with her normal atk focused burst though for what it's worth.
I'll get on her rerun. Gotta collect Furina/Focalors first.
I'm not excited for any upcoming characters but I would like lynette so i'm gonna summon on Yelans banner and since I have C0 hopefully I'll get C1.
Good point about the yin/yang (Pneuma and Ousia energies) mechanic coming up. I'm hoping Hoyo doesn't just make that system the new META. That would run the risk of basically invalidating all prior teams. I get Hoyo's need to make it so we pull for new characters, but I've spent 18 months building an account one way, and I'd like to build vertically instead of horizontally.
My Yelan is currently C4. I wanted to C6 her as soon as her next rerun comes. But the Pneuma Ousia thingy turned me off. What if my C6 Yelan isn't strong enough to ignore the Pneuma Ousia thingy? (mine have cracked artifacts btw). I don't wanna pull for mid Fontaine characters too, I hope I won't feel forced to pull especially during exploration

@@John_II I might have replied you that 19 hours.. but the moment I saw Yelan banner is up I immediately went for her C6 xD Used up 80 pulls. Got extremely lucky (my previous Yelan summons were super lucky too) I still got 320x wishes left.. hope all is good in the future >

ER requirements aren't to bad if you run her with Xingqiu with sac. Then you have to consider ER is one of her best stats because of how she does damage and her artifacts work. She's always able to ult for me in spiral and I'm running Harp with around 162 ER.
She is the only non-archon 5 star with C2R1 I have ( the other C2 I have are Ei and Nahida ). I will try to C6 her in future.
Nice helpful video! As a Yoimiha main should I get her now or get Zhongli first? I got a guaranteed pull. And have Xingqui and Yun Jin C3. I can finish abyss with Ayaka and Yoimiha team but lack dps (max 2 stars total…) I don’t have a good Dendro team. So maybe even wait for Nahida? please help me decide :P
If you lack dps then zhongli won’t help that much, yelan is the better choice I think

I was building pity for Neuvillette (yes I am one of those delulu people) and she came in 35 pity and funnily enough I happened to accidentally farm her talent books thinking it was for Xiangling. She is performing outstanding even with a garbage 4pc with unwanted substats paired with fav in a hyperbloom team. I am very happy as a Xingqiu-less account haver lol

I think im gonna give her a go on eula with diona as battery/healing and have bennet ready for a national team instead
The Eula, C0 Yelan, Raiden team actually works with my 120ER Eula. All you need is a Fav Zhongli or Fav Bennett and you'll still burst off-cooldown, Because you get so much sustained particles from Raiden and Yelan, it kind of works the same as Rosaria's burst of particles every time you use her skill. You also have a stronger damage option during Eula's downtime which is Raiden + Yelan's damage and a bit of electrocharged. My Yelan has 110ER so I can only burst off-cooldown with this team or a double hydro hyperbloom or national.

@@oliviaaarghwhat's wrong? without it my Xiangling has a strict rotation due to full damage but only 190ER(ATK sands). Xingqiu owns my jadecutter. I'm only losing like 100-200 ATK from Bennett's buff which is tiny in exchange for burst on cooldown with just 1-2 funnels. Would gladly give him keqing's purple sword if I had more ER
I have yelan on c0 and her signature. She’s actually pretty sustainable but I also have 170 er on hp sands. Basically my burst is charged with 2 skills and even quicker with battery’s like kazoo
And the 8-14k burst isn’t bad too
She is the only character I pulled based on the character trial. I didn't know who she was at that time and don't even know she is coming... But her trial convinced me to pull for her, I didn't regret pulling at all. FYI, at that time, I hate bow users like a passion as I play on mobile.
I needed a hydro unit other than Xingqu since I didn't have any. And I don't really use Barbara.
I was saving for Zhongli. I was sure I will get Zhongli and then get Furina or Nuvilette but then I just gave in to the temptation :')

favonius is the best for her (and others like ganyu or venti for that matter) because it lets you permanently keep ult up and spam it back to back without worrying about energy at all, other 'better' bows just get you bigger numbers which is overkill in most cases anyway so whatever
Im arguably the biggest yelan simp there is but id say nahida is a bit better overall than yelan just cuz the other dendro options kinda pale in comparison to nahida while for yelan,the other hydro options are also good.

Totally agree, Nahida can single handedly replace every other Dendro is their teams but Yelan has Xingqui that can easily replace herself in the roles she's used in. Yelan is still a good character, but she's doesn't create as many new teams other than double/triple Hydro.
i have a decent keqing-yaoyao-fischl,kazuha team, and the second team is only nahida and kuki, before I used to do barbara hyperbloom, but shes c0 and kinda unreliable, is it a smart choice to pull for yelan or wait for focalors

I run Raiden, Yelan, Nahida and Baizhu and I absolutely love this team comp. I don't try floor 12 in abyss because im still building but I can comfortably 9 star floor 11 with this team. (Ik its not as impressive)

Might aswell try F12. Even 1 star is free primos. You might do better than you think 🤔

My traversal team is nahida, wanderer, yelan, and kuki in that order. I mainly only use her for her skill in traversal, because i cant find any videos about techs and such on gamepad, as i play on ps4

It's refreshing to see someone who is not saying that Yelan is just on the level with the hydro-shota (forgetting his name). I never liked the hydro-shota, and as i am using only range teams, using his skill to generate energy is tricky - as i often forget to run up to an enemy so he would be able to hit it and as a result - i sometimes energy starved on him (and his 21 seconds cd on skill doesn't help with it). Because of this and because ppl kept saying that Yelan is just a second hydro-shota i almost skipped her banner during the spring. But then decided to try and pull it because at that time i was kinda burned out from the game and bored. I got lucky pulling her and from that point she completely changed my game. She is sooo fun to use, and so strong and versatile. She is perfect for exploration cause her skill grants movement as well as servers a great way to open a fight. She works in basically any tram composition. Unlike hydro-shota i do not miss her skill cause it is so easy to use, with it i can get to an enemy from range, hit it and get back away all in one smooth move. Her ult shreds like if she was a main dps. And everything she does just feels super smooth, fast and snappy. I think she is miles better than hydro-shota, and i don't understand how ppl can say that she is at best on the same level with him just because she doesn't have a minor defense effect like on his skill (which is not even a proper shield). I since did adopted shota in my second abbys team, but even after i geared him up and got used to play with him - to me he was, is and forever will be a "poor substitution for Yelan". With the current banner i pulled her c1 and very happy with it. C6 Yelan is a personal long term goal of mine.
Well it's great I didn't need to contemplate getting her C1, because I got 2 Yelans in one 10 pull!!!!!!
I'm going to get yelan's c4 and give hp to my not built very good nilou, hp to my em sands hu tao, hp to my c4 "healer" of destruction kokomi, and it might work with new characters. Should be pretty cool or maybe hilarious I'll find out when I see the numbers lol.

So, does yelan work in a Lyney team? I love both characters and the card/gambler theme both have is cool.
unfortunately they wouldn't work since lyney is a charged attack bow user who wants the enemy to have pyro inflicted on them but that's just my thoughts
Yelan is the type of character that if people have the primos and are on the fence I won't have negatives to propose. At most "if you have Xingqiu maybe you don't need her, but still great"
For me Xingqui is a Utility god and Yelen his aunty is a dmg goddess

I just got Yelan after only 3 pulls! I'm planning to use her along Kokomi, Dendro Lumine and Lisa. Speaking of, I also have Beidou, do you guys know if she could be a better option than Lisa on a hyperbloom team?
I got c1 yelan and Jean in 30 summons on her first banner(prolly my best summons ever aside from my jade spear) I would have to say she has one of the best c1s if not the best imo, exploration is 2x quicker, 2x the energy, 2x the damage, 2x the satisfaction cos she has the best animation in the game, she’s in my top 3 fav characters simply because of her skill and character😭all imma say is no matter what characters you have on your account,level, yelan will ALWAYS be worth it. Even if you have c6 xinqui cos she makes him even better, those two combined are just dynamic asf.

@@vincikeeper1581 It's personal preference, I like YunJin more since her buff is attached to Yoimiya unlike Bennett that's on the floor. Pyro resonance is still great, it adds attack, that's good if you're lacking atk stat. In my case, my Yoimiya is at 2.2k atk without pyro resonance. I prefer YunJin in this case

Was saving for Dehya since first leaks. Decided to not do that to myself. Went for C6 Yelan instead. Oh boy, that's the best way to spend your primogems.
With 180% er I have 0 problems using yelans Burst with her signature weapon without c1
I got Yelan in her last banner with an aqua, I picked her cause I'm not a fan of Xingqiu design wise even though I built him cause he was the only good hydro I had. I now never use Xingqiu cause I don't want to, Yelan is just so much cooler.

Almost 100% on Fontaine now, was going to save up those 5k primos for hydro archon. Began to watch this and burned 50 wishes to Yelan. Got a C7 for Layla which somehow has gone from constellation 0 to now 7 in three banners as a random 4 star. Got 4 copies of Barbara, to C7, sigh, and 2 copies of Bennett (YAY!) and 5 star... freaking DILUC C1! Oh well, saving the pity for the Archon then...
dude, my pity counter was at 17. Did three single pulls, then did a ten pull which got me TWO yelans and a sac bow. Pity 30. Absolutely insane.
Is her recommended bow fav, sac or stringless? I've seen all three stated in builds
At c1, you dont use fav (unless u desperate for team energy)
Sac i dont tried but at R5 it could work, mine is r4 and i still dont want it
Stringless, In vaporize this is the best alongside aqua, without vaporize at R4 its usable for DPS Yelan (r3 is a little inferior slingshot r5, that is great altho)
Just did a ten pull and got Yelan and Bennet at c0. Should I continue to pull on their banner for their constellations or save for upcoming banners?
c1 yelan is pretty good especially with Aqua but if you have future plans on the new characters i recommend to keep

Saved for her C6 for more than a year. Best character in the game. Period.
Mines C6R5 and it ruins gameplay because she just kills everything instantly, no need for reactions or anything lol… still love her though

I got her bow on 7 pity unexpectedly but I don't have her. What should I do , I have around 80 wishes saved up , I am waiting for a broken character but her bow is not very good on everybody , should I get her.
She is actually a broken character, one of the 3 best unit at the moment alongside Kazuha and Nahida. And her bow is actually the most versatile among all 5-star bows, can be used on practically almost every dps or subdps bow characters.

I got lucky with WanderKoko banners winning both 50/50s in 120 pulls... tried another 30 pulls hoping to C6 Faruzan or more Rozarias... but it's a sign that my luck had ended after both 50/50 wins. Gotten an overflow of Yanfeis than I'd ever ask for...
No strong desire for for the upcoming phase 1 5 stars.... BUT.... Benny is in it! I need 3 more Benny... I have a very bad feeling, when it's just a single 4 stars character I'm gunning for.... the math sure looks gloomy to me....
I will have to skip her for the third time again but I know that one day I will get her for sure, she is too fun to play to never try to pull for her
