I drove down that road irl, it's amazing. Then I drove down it in VR and almost puked because of the elevation changes, so this is incredibly impressive to me.
@@VonixxMusic It was incredible. (Bit of backstory) My mate and I rented a GT86 (only manual we could find) for 3 days and went on a trip first to Maebashi stayed there for two nights, then to Takayama, spent the night there and then straight back to Saitama where we dropped off the car. About 1100km in 72h and those 72h were the best part of the 17 days we were in Japan. From Maebashi we first went to Mt. Haruna on two occasions and just went up and down a few times, went to some other places from iD and also the Ikaho Toy, Doll and Car Museum. Sadly we did not have the time to go to many other passes, so we only drove Mt. Haruna and Irohazaka and whatever normal roads were directly in-between, though those were fantastic as well as we thought we'd save some money and not take the Expressway. (The day we went to Irohazaka) Irohazaka was the last one on the list before we left our AirBnB in Maebashi. It would've been a 2h drive there, but our GPS kinda sent us the wrong way at one point and after about 3km on a dirt road that was hell to drive (one person had to walk in front of the car and tell the other how far left and right they had to go in order to not bottom out the car) it told us that we're on the wrong road and sent us back, so that had cost us about 45min. During our trip there it started raining a bit but luckily stopped about 30min before we arrived and the road was mostly dry but still with a few wet spots. My mate took the uphill, I went downhill. In case you don't know, Irohazaka is a one-way road for the uphill and a one-way road for the downhill, so no problems with oncoming traffic. The uphill alone would've been worth going there for, we took a break at the viewing platform close to the top, shortly after we arrived there, someone with a really nice R32 GTR pulled up there as well. The uphill is a ton of fun, lots of back to back hairpins but not as tight as the ones in the downhill. After a bit of a break up top, looking at the Chuzenji lake, etc. we went back down and.. oh boy, Haruna was fun but this is on another level. We caught a bit of traffic so I didn't really push too far (I also didn't want to crash, so I drove pretty far on the safe side) but man those turns are tight with really barely any time to relax and huge elevation changes. It's so steep that if you were just coasting down in neutral you'd still have to brake quite often. I'd say the road irl isn't quite as narrow as it is in-game, a lot of people pulled over to let me pass (I didn't tailgate, when someone came up in front of me I always let them have more than enough space) and there was more than enough space to do so safely. When I arrived at the bottom the tires and brakes were pretty warm and my ears were ringing because I'm not used to elevation changes in such a quick time. It was such an awesome experience, I'll definitely do it again once I get another chance.
The DWG 240 is my favourite drift car in AC. Reallly good video and glad to see you using a car with realistic physics that takes actual skill, not some tandobuddies bus or whatever lol.
Those hairpins and dry leaves reminds me of Initial D when takumi was racing with a blue MR2 . Jumping on those hairpins was awesome moments. Good drifting lines u got man.. Keep it up 💖💖💖

You should do some videos on the shutoko revival project. If you dont know what it is its an almost complete rebuild of the shutoko expressway that goes from tokyo to yokohama, its mainly where car gangs like the midnight club that formed in the 80s and 90s would race with the prefered tracks being the c1 and bayshore route(called the wangan by the locals due to its long shraight sections and relative emptyness at night)
yeah, i think the wheel you have and the settings you use are important for that game. ive picked it up but not played it much my wheel the DFGT is loud and clicks and its annoyig

How do you do that drift where you start off shallow angled and just keep sliding the rear adding more angle until you are pointed towards the next straight? Is that all hand break or what are you doing with the throttle to get the car to rotate like that?
Is it the vr headset, or the game that has actual speed depth? Because driving in fh4 or many other racing games they make going 100mph seem like nothing...
Great to see someone in the internet that drifts with the weight transfer insted of 1000 hp and floor it.
With a 1000hp you really need to go for wide angles it would just be wheelspin wheelspin
horsepower helps you too. it helps to stay drift for longer and dont snap the drift so he can continue the drift and do transitions perfect
He can do it because he knows how to clutch kick tf out of that 240 because if it was an auto this would be 300 times harder

I'd do the same but with more bim boum bang and much slower and much less fluid.
But i'd do the same.
Nice man!
legit.
I'd finish the touge with the engine being left behind somewhere halfway to the bottom. I'd smack right into the barriers on every second turn
I'd break the physics and be in a tree. Straight lines is just fine. Drag tunes for life
