The US Navy found that they can shoot down satellites using any of their Burke class destroyers. They also found they can hit a Mach 10 missile with a Mach 4 dart.
@opfor8465 2008 Tico class USS Lake Erie, with the Aegis combat system, launched a modified SM-3 and shot down a US satellite. Guess what the Arleigh Burke class destroyers have. A more advanced Aegis Combat System and the SM-3 missile, which the Navy recently used to intercept Iranian ballistic missiles.
US started operating again in South China Sea starting in 2017. They stop operating after the Vietnam war. When Vietnam ended, US Carriers navigated in China Sea for good will visits to countries like Vietnam, Philippines, and Singapore. In fact 3 carriers are deployed in the region operating in INDOPACIFIC since 2017. They are in and out of China sea. Operating in any region on earth is a script written by policy makers 10 to 20 years of ago. Note: OPERATIONS, They are arm to their teeth as part of their readiness. Ready for combat 24/7.
Building man-made islands a) in an area frequented by typhoons/cyclones and b) in a time of sea level rise seems to be an expensive boondoggle to me. Simply supplying these militarily installations with fresh drinking water is no small task. The rest of their logistics can’t be much better. Will China bankrupt itself with such unnecessary wastes of manpower and resources?
China wants to control the Waters around those man-made [fly-speck] islands. They want to be able to exclusively claim the mineral rights [oil, natural gas, drilling], as well as the fishing rights. China is claiming that each new island they create [from what used to be a shoal or a reef that had previously been in international waters], gives them an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) 400 Nautical miles in diameter which they'll own in perpetuity. Even after those islands have been totally obliterated in a military action, or typhoon, China will still own the the watery acreage surrounding the defunct "island".
Kinda shallow of all the things you said. Avoid escalation? How can you assert the freedom of navigation if you are avoiding the sea lane you want to be free for all? Since 2022 to 2024, a bunch of aircraft carriers went to the Subic bay Philippines. They been seen in the South China sea a dozens of times.
NOT TRUE. U.S.A. Carriers sails all the time and mocks china's 10 dash lines at SCS. Xi Jinping is so AFRAID to confront the carriers.😂😂😂😂😂😂 From the Philippines.
A partly right, but driving something like that through there is just a sitting duck.Come on, be honest. You don't put those big assets in the situation. They don't even like taking a destroyer through there
You mean sitting ducks like putting Carriers in the Persian Gulf or the Gulf of Aden, small cramped operating areas with lots of ship traffic? Or the Sea of Japan with 3 Carrier Battle Groups at the same time? Carriers and their Battle Groups can operate and do operate wherever they are needed and they aren't by any definition sitting ducks. I know, I've been there. 7 years on USS Carl Vinson multiple deployments to several "hot spots".
That is the point Thomas. You put the big asset there to send a signal. Do anything to threaten this vessel and you will likely have started WWIII. USN can sail under well understood and written law of the sea. It should do so.
The USA has plenty of military bases in the proximity of the China sea, and doesn’t really need to permanently deploy aircraft carriers in that area, although they often visit. China can’t afford too much trouble with the US military because sanctions could cripple China’s economy overnight.
US Navy presence is a necessity to assure freeedom of internatonal waters' trade, routes, and sailing in general. Withdrawl only causes the emobdment of our enamies. We don't like bullying!
obvious false propaganda. and the US dash lines encompassing the pacific islands from the continental US, no other aircraft carrier is also passing there except the US?

US should not waste American people’s limited resources in foreign wars causing most Americans the inability to pay bills for basic necessities and causing US deficit and economic collapse. US needs to stop wasting the money of American people. We don’t want US to interfere with Chin a because there is no way US will win. Sone wars like Vietnam war should have already taught US military industrial complex that lesson. US will cause assured mutual catastrophe and destruction. It is educational for Russia to put nuclear missiles near. Cuba to help US neocons understand how it feels to China to allow hostile power in its backyard.
They run the risk of being sunk. More to the point, what is the US interest in the SCS beyond the, ultimately fruitless, containment of China? The SCS is vital to Chinese trade, there's no way they're going to allow anyone else to control it, particularly not a beligerant adversary like the USA.
What would happen if CCP attacked a US carrier, heaven, help them talking B2s, B1s, Subs and who knows what else. When last time CCP fought a war, they having hell of a time finding military personnel, one of the reasons their ships sit in ports.

Because these violent American THUGS are scared. These American aircraft carriers can only be used to BULLY small weak defenceless countries and not powerful countries such as China, India, Russia, North Korea, and Iran.
The US Navy found that they can shoot down satellites using any of their Burke class destroyers. They also found they can hit a Mach 10 missile with a Mach 4 dart.
@@pogo1140 sure thing, and then you woke up right? 🤣🤣
Carriers are vulnerable. Big Slow Easy Targets. 5000 Crew Inside. They Sink Crew Inside. 😂😂😂😢
Because the US 7th fleet is not there anymore!
Hello
Aircraft carrier Visited Philippines. What do you think? Aircraft carrier can fly?
Tidak ada permusuhan mutlak dengan keluarga jepang, cina, dan korea, bbrp dari mereka tim ku,, dalam urusan keluarga, bisnis dan edukasi
China should also send their warships to Cuba like Russia
They might break down going that far 🤣
They Better Stay near US Coastal border. Near LA, SF Bay Area, Seattle. Leave SCS for the Chinese. Support China ❤.
Who are you talking for anyway?
The US would completely freak out and declare war if a Chinese aircraft carrier sailed through the Gulf of Mexico 😂
But the Chinese wouldn't do that because they're too scared of the Americans.
I reside here in the PHILIPPINES (Nakatira ako dito sa Pilipinas) US Carrier CARL VINSON just visited last January. I am not sure what this video is
Gago itong channel na to eh. Na hack siguro ng chinese itong youtube channel. Hahahaha
this is a pro China blog
US started operating again in South China Sea starting in 2017. They stop operating after the Vietnam war. When Vietnam ended, US Carriers navigated in China Sea for good will visits to countries like Vietnam, Philippines, and Singapore. In fact 3 carriers are deployed in the region operating in INDOPACIFIC since 2017. They are in and out of China sea. Operating in any region on earth is a script written by policy makers 10 to 20 years of ago. Note: OPERATIONS, They are arm to their teeth as part of their readiness. Ready for combat 24/7.
the U.S. need not to prove anything to anybody - they know who they are. they need to gather supporters & FRIENDS TO BE ON THEIR SIDE
What about build up military by China in Atlantic Ocean near America mainland?
Don't panic of what you have seen in scene
This is rubbish.
The US Navy (and French and British and German) regularly have freedom of navigation exercises in and through the S. China Sea
You are giving false information... U.S carriers with their battle group occassionally pass in south china sea
@@patcee4008 Will this start a land grab with other countries staking similar claims? I am surprised that this is even legal.
Building islands is very very cheap and effective in somewhere nearby.😊
Kinda shallow of all the things you said.
Avoid escalation?
How can you assert the freedom of navigation if you are avoiding the sea lane you want to be free for all?
Since 2022 to 2024, a bunch of aircraft carriers went to the Subic bay Philippines.
They been seen in the South China sea a dozens of times.
Thats crap. US aircraft carriers visit Manila and Subic Bay regularly. And the only way there is through the South China sea
NOT TRUE.
U.S.A. Carriers sails all the time and mocks china's 10 dash lines at SCS. Xi Jinping is so AFRAID to confront the carriers.😂😂😂😂😂😂
From the Philippines.
We should go on any ocean.
hello
This video is a chinese propaganda
US ships couldn't pass 9 Chinese permanent military base and facilities islands with full battle gear and arsenals of anti aircraft, anti ship and anti submarine hypersonic missiles, much more Chinese radar can detect US stealth ships, submarines and aircrafts, could US sacrifices their fleet of naval air forces forces to pass South China Sea?
怕了😂
US should not waste American people’s limited resources in foreign wars causing most Americans the inability to pay bills for basic necessities and causing US deficit and economic collapse. US needs to stop wasting the money of American people. We don’t want US to interfere with Chin a because there is no way US will win. Sone wars like Vietnam war should have already taught US military industrial complex that lesson. US will cause assured mutual catastrophe and destruction. It is educational for Russia to put nuclear missiles near. Cuba to help US neocons understand how it feels to China to allow hostile power in its backyard.
If China perceives it as provocation oh well too bad
China will just do the same. Build a base in Cuba. Russia is already in the Caribbeans right now.
Its west phil sea no south china sea
The WPS is only that part of the whole SCS which is within the Philippines EEZ !😊
The same area is vital to the Philippines, Vietnam and every other nation in that area.
And yes the US Navy routinely sails carriers with their battle group though the South China seas. They've been doing it since WW2 and continue to do it today and in the future
@blackmamba4965that is crazy the US Navy does not ask permission to transit international waters. I do not know where you come up with such nonsense.
@@JimmieBrown-sg8fq When was the last time the US fought a modern military? US has not fought a country with a Navy or Air force since WW2. They have no experience in modern warfare.
@@rickace132 And china does? You are a moron.
You are so full of crap, right at this moment the Nimitz is leading a multinational task force of ships in the South China sea, including a Canadian frigate, the HMCS Montreal that my good friend is aboard as head of the helo maintenance detachment.
Yeou are wrong Uss Theeodore Roosevelt pass through that area this month.
What an excuse. The Carrier Ford is so afraid they will be sunk by the Houthi that they retreated fom the Red Sea.
Carrier's transit the south china sea how do you think west coast battle groups get to the Indian ocean and persian gulf.
This is correct. I served onboard the USS Carl Vinson, and we operated in the South China Sea several times. There have been times when two Aircraft Carrier Battle Groups were operating together in the South China Sea. So I'm not sure what this video is talking about.
@@Pappy7064 I spent 14 years out of my 20 years in in westpac they transit south China sea all the time I spent a lot time in the south China sea. Your right this video has some wrong info one person made a comment there are carriers in pi, guam and Australia.
They take the long way. They don't absolutely HAVE to transit the SCS. It's just not worth it.
@@markcollins2666 Wrong. The South China Sea does not belong to China it is International waters. The Navy operates through there all the time including Aircraft Carrier battle groups.
@@markcollins2666 you are wrong for one it would take to long also cost to much. The U.S navy is there to keep the flow of all ships open in the south China sea. Are you or have you even been in tye navy?
😂😂 actually they come and go in South China sea then dock here in Philippines
Complete crap.
Yes
Let me say. If United states Lost 2 aircraft carrier. in the region 9:44 Japan will seek revenge against America. Okay
What the hell are you talking about? Write a coherent sentence.
They passed...and get stalked by CCG,and all it takes is one wrong move from china to create a war of mouths 😂
The West Philippines sea!
That is not south china sea they are too far in west Philadelphia sea..
The word south china sea is a bad bad bad word to reveal it is philippine sea ...
We base them in Japan which is right there so we send them there. And we are in the process of setting up shop in the Philippines once again. China would be stupid to attack much less interfere with the carrier.
