In the old school days, you'd get parts, and then buy things, say jets for carbies and tune that all And now, you dont just spend money on the hardware, like the transmission, now you buy better electronics to tune things.. really cool to see, and I reckon the ZF on an LS rather than a TH400 with a shift kit would probably blow it out the water for performance AND durability . Well done guys.

This is an absolute game changer for TCM tuning, and I hope they can apply this to many more gearboxes. As for testing on different motors, I'll volunteer for a free ZF upgrade if George wants to test it on a 1JZ in the future. 😉😂
I tried to fit the sender unit from a BA into the R31 tank. got it all working with the float until I broke the sender.... But did work. I have a Barra cluster in my R31.
@Puffwagon So...buy 4 Pulsars, install one (or two) into the engine bay and hang the other two like dice from the rear view mirror. Or buy one Garrett. 3k in mods will get you further than the garrett, just hope the Pulsars can handle 100k km's. It would be interesting if a turbo business pulled one down and went through its paces as well as how well it's balanced.
@Puffwagon I can't find a GTX3584RS for less than $3429 (Goleby's)... The GTX3582 G2 is $3249 unless going just the supercore which is $2549 atm... The Garrett G35-1050 at $3699 is more appealing but might be the go in a Pulsar instead because V-band means ext gate and custom dump pipe. I need some "sponsors" like all these already cashed up people lol. It's the rich get richer scenario
Nice George getting the USshift Quick6 Gen2 - Transmission Control System to tune/control the ZF 6HP26 transmission. How much difference is there between Australian Ford ZF 6HP26 transmission ( also used in many other vehicle manufactures) Ford USA's 6r80 transmission? thanks
Can't you wire up the solenoids manually to create a transbrake? I could have sworn I've read about people doing it. You could also use pcmtec's launch control to build boost and limit torque so you don't turn the tyres when staging. Either way it's all good news but I'd be going the 6R80 shaft anyway if you are going to punish it...
I'm yet to see a strong, well built 6L80 that can compare to a zf. With the aftermarket support of the zf it's the better option until the 6L80 can prove me wrong.
How do you trigger torque reduction from the pcm on a shift to stop the box grenading at high power? As you would only use a controller like this with high power. This sounds like a step backwards in all ways except the trans brake.
Is there a rough cost of getting the Motor/trans into the car and working? (excluding mods). I'm wanting to drop one in, but not sure what kind of budget I should set aside

Tru trac and 31 spline axles I haven’t had any trouble with my Vl off the trans brake and that’s with 28 spline tru track and I abuse it
My R31 Barra broke the 25 spline axle. I replaced it with 28 spline so good to hear the 28 spline can take abuse.
@@dzitezracing I wouldn’t piss on 25spline twigs but if you can afford it go 31 spline tru track diff as the axles are way stronger again
