Cheers. Thank you for helping to make me love Thailand. I will arrive in about 4 years give or take. I did visit by transit in 1991 ish and wasn't impressed but now I am ❤😊
I like your content! Used to walk up and down your soi and I hang out in the same watering holes as you. For Korean bbq, we have a new favourite in Sukhumvit 15 called KBBQ. Very premium meat and they have everything! Price a bit higher though at 399 and no need to go for anything but the standard menu
Appreciate you sharing. Do those food delivery people just wait outside the condo for you to pickup your food? Guessing they don’t do whole lot of door delivery in Bangkok?
They pull up and set the food on a table outside. You can see on the app when they leave the restaurant. I usually catch them as they pull up. No, they aren't allowed in the building.
Yes, I’ve eaten at that very Smoked place and it was good. There’s always a bit of a twist as to what it comes with (to cater to the Asians) but the basic BBQ meat is close enough to what you get back home to fill that hunger itch you might have.
@@EagerExpat Thanks for this rec. Had not heard of them but will try next time. Being from Texas, I'm always looking for good BBQ and TexMex when abroad.
People make fun of McDonald’s but if you are up late or wake-up early you can find one open. Or another one if I am out walking and need to use a restroom I will stop and use the facilities and buy a cheeseburger. Eating at the mall in Thailand I understand to get out of the heat or rain and kill some time.
Two choices were I hang out. Red or white. Think box or Yellow tail from Australia. It's about the same price as a beer. If you'd like nice wine in Thailand, it will be (a guess) 50% more. than a price in the US. That's just an estimate. I don't drink nice wine. I did buy 4 bottles of Korbel. I'd guess that's $15 a bottle in the US on sale. It was closer to $25 a bottle here. There is no such thing as buy 6 bottles and get 30% off. Sales are not really a thing. Maybe 5% off at times. I hope that helps. I have never bought a nice bottle of French wine at dinner here. I'd guess it would be way more than the steak or lobster you might be eating. I usually have a bottle of red or white at home for my girlfriend. Usually whatever is 500 or 600b. Usually Australian. So so wine like Sutter from California might be 900b to 1100b Australia is the best priced. Villa market has a good choice. I've shown wine prices in grocery videos. Search grocery or shopping on my channel. Look for Villa
Always interesting to see how other farang spend money Lived Thailand 20 years, shabu or any buffet not my thing unless I go Japan to places like Saizeriya 🍽🍷 (🛫~35trips) ฿420 ? Chicken breasts at Big C (Rajadamri) ~฿80/kg (~4 large) using Spicy Big Wings Marinade Mix ~฿21 air fryer 20min + Ham Egg Salad Box ฿49 + Sparkling wine ฿39 bottle

It's a great city. Thanks for watching
McDs in Thailand is amazing, too. People not going there are missing out on that fried chicken and some solid menu items!
It's OK once in a while. I never tried the chicken. Maybe I should.
I get the chicken. It's good quality. I like the double big Mac too.

Great video as usual, osheas looks like my kind of bar, I can't wait to arrive on the 7th
It's a great place. I'm in Bali that wee, but I'll be back around the 11th. Maybe i'll see you there.

It's pretty good. I also like Billy's near Phloen Chit BTS

Nothing wrong with McDonalds once in a while. I ate it once a month in California. About the same here. Love those fries.
@@EagerExpat it all comes down to familiarity and comfort it is a restaurant that most of us grew up with.
Burn boiling water 😂
Ha ha. Ya, those cheap pans just burn up
You always mention beer types and prices but what about wines ?

I'm lucky to have a Big C/Villa/Lotus walking distance from my place on Soi 26. Great choices.
