    I've got everything box of Topps from 1980 -2000. Had most from 63-74. Joined Navy and you can figure out what mom did with them when they moved.

      DANG! but I would guess most people have a similar story, my dad grew up collecting the topps cards in the 50s and remembers collecting Mantle's cards but my grandma threw them away when we moved out as well

      @sportscardsedge Got to remember that cards were worth pennies till the 70s and 80s. Had no way to find their value. If youwant a good read 1960 Topps cleaned out their warehouses for extra space. They took 800 (24 boxes per cate) crates of cards from 1952 -1959. The put them on a barge and dumped them in the Atlantic Ocean
      1box of 1952 tops would be worth 15 million today. 52 Mantle. Robinson, Williams, Berra etc. Google Topps dumps 1952 in Ocean.

      I heard about that. Can’t believe they dumped them in the ocean. What a loss!

    I hate what happened to card collecting. It has become this hobby for oversized kids and the current kids have been priced out of cards so guess the future of card collectors is gone.

      @@sportscardsedge you would think you grow out of that by the age of 10?

  • @WallyTony

    Yeah but everything has to be PSA 9 so this is all crap

    • @sportscardsedge
      @sportscardsedge  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The reason I did that is because if a PSA 9 of that card isnt worth at least $100 then the card is probably not worth anything ungraded.

      @@sportscardsedgeThe grading companies have everyone by the balls, and they all play along with the big scam. Thanks you sir, can you take another $35 fro me, just in case it's a 9. Oh drat, it's an 8.5, a swing and a miss. What a joke collecting has become.

  • @alltimeklazzikz

    What a Scam, many People got these Cards, difference is you can only ask that much if its PSA Authenticated WTF ... if a RAW Card is in a Pristine Condition why cant we Price it the Same !? Wake the Hell Up Folks & start Pricing How yall feel not by whos dictating your Price!!

    • @sportscardsedge
      @sportscardsedge  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      As a buyer of cards especially online, i wouldn’t pay as much for a good looking raw card as one that is already PSA graded because without seeing the card in hand you can easily miss something slight that dramatically changes the value. That’s why you won’t get as much for raw cards as graded. Once graded the value is basically agreed upon. So I think graded cards do provide some value in addition to authenticating and protecting the card condition. If you buy 10 perfect looking raw cards only 1 may actually be a PSA 10 which is why many would rather just buy the graded card

      @@sportscardsedge see it doesnt make sense at all a Card which has been Printed Gazillions of Times only because its Graded Guys like you are willing to Pay High End Prices !? WTF Moment, Cricketts """"""""" and if its not Graded its basically Worthless 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻😵‍💫 i mean wheres your Logic ??? If a Card is Rare its Scarce it has always its Value, its just a Different Point of View the Newer Generation is Brainwashed as Hell....or the New Collector Market. So Vice Versa if a Very Common Low Budget Card which has a Value of 3 Bucks gets Graded in your Mind now it has to be much more Worth than 3 Bucks right ??? Even if its Encapsulated this doesnt Change the Fact that its still a 3 Buck Card !!!!!!!!! Bye

    • @sportscardsedge
      @sportscardsedge  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That’s not how any of it works. A rare card in great condition is more valuable than that same card in a worse condition. A cheap card in any condition is still cheap. Prices are based on the market demand not PSA grading.

      @@sportscardsedge yeah we all know how it Functions!? Weve seen it before at Wata Headquarters where they Manipulated the Market same goes on right now in the TCG Market, Wake Up! I collect my Whole Life... i know what im Tellin! Exactly thats what I basically said lmfao thx & yes also the demand is always a Key Factor but who controlls behind the Curtain the System which Coordinate this "Demand"

    • @sportscardsedge
      @sportscardsedge  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The buyer determines demand. And anyone buying expensive cards will insist on it being graded already. We could complain about it but it won’t change the market. I prefer graded cards every day. And actually I like the look of the SGC slabs over PSA but PSA will demand a slight premium when I go to sell it. I too have been at this for decades.

      Quite a few. Pretty much any Griffey, Jeter, or Bonds 98 or 99 PMG, 99 Rubies, 99 24kt, 98 or 99 EC. All of those surpass these (other than the Jeter MG and maybe the NNOF Thomas).
