    Gonna be so amazing when it’s finished! We did up our cottage and it did take years but like you said we just chipped away at it. I kept getting sidetracked by wanting to do landscaping/gardening stuff but it was a nice distraction sometimes. The thing I struggled most with the “little tasks” was figuring out the order in which to do them. I didn’t want to have to tear something I did previously in order to do the next step especially things like electrical wiring. Once that wall is up that’s it!

    Hola from Spain. Just found your channel, & being experienced renovators 😂 I'm already loving it. Your certainly not afraid of hard work. Looking forward to following you. One thing we decided when we started our journey 18 years ago was to keep smiling & laughing through the tough bits, and there were many of them. It's all been worth it. ♥️♥️

    Well done both, you still got a fair bit done there despite the stoppages. Would you not just hold on to the rubble/hardcore as you may need it further down the line for a shed base or something?

    Good work. Don't waste money on s skip, keep the rubble u may need a new path, patio or shed foundation or at road for pirrs etc...

      Absolutely! I was thinking the same. If nothing else you can use it to stabilize the bottom of a garden wall or something.

    You guys work WAY too hard, all the time. The place is looking great, and so do the both of YOU.
    I’ve got a date with the damn strimmer myself - it never stops growing…..
    Love to the two of you.

      Hey Derek! Good to hear from you, hope you're keeping well 😊 Plenty of tea from the hedge and field this summer - one of the things we can still do during a rainy summer 😅

    Why not keep the stone for something instead of skipping it off?

    • @DiaryofaDitchWitch
      @DiaryofaDitchWitch  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Because it's shards of concrete, not stone, and we've reused as much as we can already for the time being.

      Don’t know ur future plans but if you were thinking of raised vegetable beds for later on you could start them now by using the concrete as a draining medium and building walls around it from the stone you’ll probably pull out of the building or ur old wall then fill with soil. But I am looking at this through the view of chronic pain so raised beds seem like heaven to me 😂
