I noticed there are standard and long ones. Which one do you recommend? What is the lowest note on the chanter? It would be good to get one that matches the bag pipe we end up getting.

If I have a good sound for the lower notes, but then get yucky rattling noises for high G and A, what am I doing wrong? 😊

Hi Phillip,. I notice that you have not yet had a response . I have only been playing the practice chanter now for three months. I got mine with a tutor book from the National Piping Centre in Glasgow Scotland. Please do not get one via eBay or Amazon. From the reviews I have read they either don't turn up in the post or simply do not function. Hope this helps.

Thanks ! I'm beginning alone, and the most difficult is to make a good sound ! It's a pity, because I know now all the notes without looking at my fingers. 😠😱
