This is something I've brought up before and I'm glad I was thinking along the same lines as Tomoe, I get comments like the ones she's talking about on my clips of her even though those clips have nothing to do with Sukoya. One of the reasons I wanted to clip her solo streams was that so people would realize she has so much more to offer in terms of great content than just crossick, and even though of course I love crossick too, it honestly really irritates me to always see people viewing someone exclusively through the lens of their relationship with someone else.
1000% agree with your post. I've been a huge fan of Tomoe even before Crossick, and it's been so annoying how you can never bring up Tomoe without people mentioning Sukoya or Crossick.
Something like a romantic relationship has a lot of weight. Of course they have lots of individual points that are completely unbound from their relationship and those are great also! But nontheless, if it is something that can relate to their relationship I argue it's normal that people would associate them. Let's give a stupid example, like Sukoya talking about her fetishes. Pretty hard to ignore the implication that her _girlfriend_ would be related to that. Another silly example would be Tomoe doing yuri Visual Novel streams. There is plenty of ammunition for Crossick jokes there. Don't get me wrong, I don't endorse the harrassment that these commenters engage in on Tomoe's actual streams, but clips are pretty disconnected from that and ultimately it's up to the individual how they process media. As long as they don't bother the actual streamer directly, I think it is draconic to tell people not to talk about what they want to talk about in regards to a streamer's content.
Since Sukoya is back from her break how come I haven’t seen any content between her and Tomoe recently? I’m starting to wonder if they’re taking a break or something? From their relationship I mean. Really hope they’re still together and make collab videos again.
Thanks for the upload! Tomoe always manages to be so levelheaded even when it's clear she's struggling with something. Gundou and Kanda took a long break from collabing for similar reasons, so I can imagine it's even more stressful for Tomoe and Sukoya given how much closer and publicly open they've been. Even if Crossick is no more, I'd love to see more individual clips of them both in the future!
Poor Tomoe. That happens a lot to other vtuber pairs it seems. I mean, one thing is talking about it in fanworks that are directly about Crossick, or in collab videos or whatever. But that they even send her marshmallows and stuff?. Damn.
100% sure it's not only with vtuber nor with japanese, everything couple related have something like this, even more in this age where relationships are so short...
@@Gadottinho granted they are a couple, like she said, she shouldve addressed it, but didnt is what I get and its understandable if they feel its not going work properly, welp I hope it doesnt lead to a bad breakup
Aww I love Tomoe, she handled this so calmly and clear head I guess it's ok to be worried and curious about your favorite Livers. But do it carefully without bothering them or others who's doing their best I hope for the best for Crossick! Especially Sukoya who's in the middle of her exam!
I just recently got back to watch crossick and was freaking out when I see old translation videos got unlisted. I'm glad it was about this but also I can see why she's having a hard time saying anything about it. Its quite a frustrating situation. My heart was about to stop lol
i understand that when in your our stream and ppl just talk about the other one in duo is pretty rule, like your only existance is just the duo (same situation with GunKan duo too) but unlisted all crossick vid...is it a bit...too over-the-top?!
Regardless of if Crossick the unit dissolves, I hope Tomoe and Sukoya remain close as they are. Even outside tge shipping they feel close so for that to be dampered by fans is really sad.
I think they are closer to one another in real life, what we see on screen is just the tip of the iceberg-what I'm implying is Crossick is real, but Tomoe and Sukoya don't necessarily need to prove their relationship all the time. And as said in this video Tomoe says it's much more than they can handle.
have always been a fan of both of them individually and as a duo. hearing her say what should've been common sense to viewers kinda breaks my heart. i wish both of them happiness in whatever form that may be.
It's sad to see that the way people treat Crossick is suffocating. I love them as individuals just as I love them as Crossick. I've been following their individual activities too. I wish there was more subbed content about their individual streams too 😔
I'm on her side. I get why she would get angry or lose her temper for those type of fans. I'm a huge fan of Crossick but it's also important to set boundaries as a fan. I don't think anyone would be happy if say, they meet up with their relatives/friends and all they ever talk about is your partner but so little about you. That is just disrespectful. Seeing how she said it's ''suffocating'' though, I really hope this won't strain their relationship. I 100% will support them if they want to take a break from being a unit but not as a couple T....T.
All I can say here is that people should learn how to 'Ship Responsibly" They're individual people before they're partners, people seem to forget about that fact quite often.
Thanks for the upload! Sukoya, herself, even already explained that she'll be back around March (after she's done with her boarding exams, if I'm not mistaken) so I hope those who knew beforehand understands the situation and patiently wait. Like one of the Japanese viewer said: Watch Tomoe for Tomoe, watch Sukoya for Sukoya and watch Crossick for Crossick
I get what Tomoe is saying. Basically, she might not want to do Crossick anymore; in terms of doing it for work. She wants Sukoya and herself to have their own identity and for once that fans stop badgering both parties about one another. Because their relationship gathered a lot of fans, it is getting out of hand-where their* fans are in the place between "I like Tomoe" "I like Sukoya" and "I like you as a couple." The fans in "I like you as a couple," are the ones badgering. At least that's how I interpreted this.
i think everything i want to say has been said by the other commentors in this vid but I just wanna add that what tomoe-san said also applies to every other ships existing in the vtuber community. we, as fans, should not forget one of the most important rules of the community: "don't bring up other livers when not mentioned by the liver themselves." even if it's not a live stream, if the other isn't mentioned, don't look for them. engrave it into our brains our last remaining brain cells if we could. we should also police ourselves and respect the livers as individuals. as crossick fans, we should be able to understand that tomoe-san and sukoya-san are a unit but also are separate livers. crossick wouldn't be crossick without their individuality.
!!! wow thank you for translating this, i dont really watch much of tomoe and sukoya, so to hear that viewers of crossick are doing this, is... astonoishing. second hand embarrassment honestly 😬
I hope this won’t harm their relationship or causing it to be more private since Tomoe seems to want to separate work and personal things. I like many vtuber ships, but I love watching them be more relax or comfortable around someone close to them. It’s like seeing a different side of them. And I wish them the best of things in the future.
At the end of the day Crossick is their relationship so it’s up to them if they decide to show it to us or not either way I’ll still support them both as best I can
I’ve noticed that in other fandoms, particularly the Minecraft content creator sphere, people in chat would start talking about another content creator in their chat unprompted as well, just because they are friends. Like in streamer x’s chat people will ask if streamer y will be streaming, releasing a video, or something else not related to the stream. It used to happen constantly, but after the streamers scolded their chat it became less frequent. Hopefully people will listen.
As someone who doesn't tend to directly interact with streamers or read chat much, I would love to say this has nothing to do with me, but alas, this is a matter that was very noticable all along. People who are so invested in Crossick that they can't help themselves and bother them individually have always been around, but with Sukoya's break there is just no proper outlet left, so fans will pester them unavoidably. And with being the only active one of the two, Tomoe bears the lion share. I think Tomoe is partially right about not having handled it that well too. Silence only allows people to speculate more. Of course they don't owe anybody any behind the scenes info, but with how silent Tomoe had been around the topic it definitely felt like she was too paralyzed to act. She is always worrying a lot about everything and it can't be easy on her nerves to be forced into situation where she has to talk about it without Sukoya's input. What we should understand is that Tomoe and Sukoya are the ones who are bothered most by this separation. It's hard enough to be apart from your partner for so long, they really don't need people rubbing it in. I don't see this so much as an issue stemming from the Western audience as from the JP one this time, so there isn't much we can do. Support them as individuals first and welcome back Sukoya with a smile, that's all I can suggest.
Agree with you, it would be much better if they announced, or even she waited to announce it after, the silence is only worse... But I also didn't understand that really well, well because she didn't say it clearly, if they as a couple are separate or they as a "Collab"...

I came over from Kana's clip to see what was Tomoe's reaction and it was what I expected. Coming from the Hololive side, this obsessive problem with the fans is why the TakaMori (Takanashi Kiara / Calliope Mori) pair dissolved eventually. Like any coupling tag, official or not, talents usually don't mind hopping on board the wagon as it helps them connect their roles and such. The problem comes when fans overstep their boundaries, push for collabs and break the basic rule of "don't mention unless mentioned by talent", rather than let them happen naturally when the stars align. Then, when you compound the problems with a western fandom whose general obsession with innuendo, memes and sexualisation override a talent's pleas to normalise the pairing, they fall on deaf ears time and again that the talents decide that's enough out of them. And thus the pairing dissolves because it had grown outrageous, disrespectful and even awkward to deal with because of a group of ill-mannered audience, and now the pair returns to normal without that stupid pairing tag. Just for sanity's sake, I hope Tomoe and Kana also find their own way out of this. Sometimes killing off the pairing tag, and dismissing any further mentions, is what it needs to grind it to a halt.
This is only on Tomoe's part, not both of them. I hope they will stream as Crossick in the future. It doesn't have to be once every month just whenever they feel like it. I think it'd be a shame to disband such an iconic duo. I blame those ignorant fans.

This felt kinda.... interesting to see since I remember in the past, Tomoe was the one clinging to Sukoya and gets "angry" at Sukoya when Sukoya asked if she wanted to make their relationship more private instead of being open and even as entertainment material. While I do think some fans need to chill down and think of the person behind the avatar (really? asking about the other even in unrelated tweet or collab??), can't say she didn't get it coming for insinuating it as far as it had been. I'm glad she spoke about this and admitted she played a part in it while also not holding back any punches towards relentless fans. It sucks when things go out of control of these livers who are just doing their things. I hope from here things will go better for her, Sukoya, and the fans. Let's respect these livers as individuals and actual person behind those anime avatars 🙏 Thank you for translating this clip with such delicate and careful approach. I appreciate your hardwork very much. 🙏
Who wants to bet GunKan faces the same problem? lol. Almost every EN Gundou clip I have seen has comments about Kanda. So annoying. Anyway, its sad that Crossick is becoming more and more of a burden to Tomoe. It would seriously suck if it actually ended up hurting her relationship with Sukoya. Probably the saddest thing to see as a viewer is 2 streamers you like drifting apart because other people cant control themselves with shipping. No wonder vtubers are so careful with this sort of thing
Tomoe is very levelheaded. She doesn't get rile up or cast blames so easily instead, she tries to convey her thoughts in a much better way first and then brief all of us about the current situation. At this point, She could be a good manager or a politician.
awww, I honestly only watched Crossick, I'm not into Vtubers actually, so it's a bit of a shame if they won't continue but I can understand the hardcore fans can be annoying.
The problem with shipping irl people is that shippers often focus more on the ship and sometimes even forgets the irl people in those ships. This is especially the case with yuri since people are sure to fetishize them
@@Burneth_ I think you couldn't be more wrong. BL has the most fetishizing community _by far_ . Fujoshis are the most extreme when it comes to that content. I think you haven't actually engaged with it enough. PS: Vanilla =/= het. Vanilla simply means pure straightforward relationship/sex. This can apply to any type of gender combination.
@@yoursonisold8743 i'd argue that het shippers are actually the worst because they often sincerely think their ship is going to sail. bl and yuri fans usually acknowledge their ship is unlikely and just fantasy, though in the case of crossick people are more ridiculous/intense about it because they are (were?) actively in a relationship. bl shippers in nijisanji hide their content behind a million walls and tags and locks because they acknowledge rpf content makes a lot of people (namely those involved) uncomfortable. however, i constantly see shippers of gunkan, kanaeyou, and benizuwaigani begging for shipping content openly in the tags on twitter. people even openly said they hated and would never forgive akina for not participating in aizono's recent birthday live. i've never seen anything like that for the bl ships--possibly because they're so intensely behind lock and key, as they should be because openly shipping real people is frankly bad manners.
@@honnisukiyanen I was not exclusively talking about Vtuber content mind you. When it comes to celebrity relationships people are always freaks. Fetsihization in BL is just enormous. Yuri has an issue with baiting more than oversexualization really. Of course with het it's always the fact that they think their default applies to everyone and that it's a foregone conclusion, yeah. Hiding that stuff behind closed doors is definitely the better approach.
I didn't understand very well, but it doesn't really matter, I, of course, would be sad if they have separated, but it's their relationship... I actually would prefer if they acted more as separated livers, I just hope that they are in good terms. And it would probably be better if she were more clear...

It’s best we accept whatever they decide to do. I know it’s sad but at last, it is what it is. Everything is just like a theatre, we don’t know what’s going on at the backstage. It’s important that we support each of them with all we can because they are working hard. These are just my thoughts. awww, I honestly only watched Crossick, I'm not into Vtubers actually, so it's a bit of a shame if they won't continue but I can understand the hardcore fans can be annoying.
The problem with shipping irl people is that shippers often focus more on the ship and sometimes even forgets the irl people in those ships.
This is especially the case with yuri since people are sure to fetishize them
All the other ships, like yaoi and vanilla ships have this issue too but its more of a problem with yuri
Welp, I still wish them luck on their relationship, I havent been keelingvup with tomoe damn youtube
broo are they really break up and become strangers to each other?
there's no tomoe in sukoya come back stream, there's no tomoe in sukoya credit/special thanks, also there's no tomoe in sukoya tweets about her comnback even tomoe didn't retweet sukoya comeback stream tweet
It’s best we accept whatever they decide to do. I know it’s sad but at last, it is what it is.
Everything is just like a theatre, we don’t know what’s going on at the backstage.
It’s important that we support each of them with all we can because they are working hard. These are just my thoughts. I am sad as well but I will keep supporting them as individuals because each of them are special to me.
I like tomoe because she cute mommy.
