I like my gravely pro stance, it has a foot control lever for the deck, cuts great, I have had 0 problems with it. I think stander is better for your back, I don’t seem as tired at the end of the day, if you decide to get a stander it will take some getting used to, you will be a little sore but after about a week that will go away and you will be all is good.
Hey Eddie, I thought you had the gravely.. I would like having a foot pedal to lift the deck in case there is a hole or uneven spot.. definitely interested in trying a stander out..
Went from having 4 JD standers years ago to only having 1 now! Went back to ztr, maintenance is a pain on standers and truthfully I never seen a difference in my back pain! I am 6ft tough! I am looking to add the C23i to my fleet over the winter! Love da videos!
I hear Grasshopper has a great mower, and their stand-on mowers have adjustable controls that you can do within seconds. I have not heard much back from the Bad Boy mower rep in NC. They told me they could come out near the end of this week but haven't heard from them. I looked at a 54 stand-on this week that was a grasshopper and even with the machine off the controls were VERY SMOOTH AND EASY to operate. ALL IN ALL I love my VENTRAC!!
Thanks Medlin, didn’t realize grasshopper made a stander.. my walker dealer sells grasshopper so need to see about those. I’m gonna look into the bad boy
I tried the grasshopper stand on at the equip expo a couple years ago. Very smooth machine. I didn't like how aggressive the stock tires were on it. Id order it with tweels.
@@CBeason Well one thing I liked about it the most was the deck is all steel, even the belt covers. I'm not saying Bad Boy is not a good mower, but it is a little hard to get someone set up for a demo in my area.
I think youre probably in a great position to approach thay dealer for an extended use demo, if youve bought other equipment from them discuss getting the walker, and demo a bad boy for awhile. Give them so many videos a month in exchange.
Though the walker is a top notch bagging mower. - I think it stand on is much more versatile - But I think any stand on mower is gonna be rough compared to that Cadillac exmark😅
@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 good points Ray! Yeah the cost of the Walker is what gets me. Really interested in trying something new tbh. appreciate the encouraging words yesterday!
@@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 yeah last time I checked they seemed expensive but honestly don’t remember exactly what they were priced at.. I’m gonna look into them again
Ok this might get a little long. I run a 14 ft trailer. When I started I could only get 2 zero turns on my trailer. My back always hurt even with the good seats on them. I swapped one zero for a vride 2 48. Times picked up and at the end of the day no shoulder blade, neck or lower back pain. I have since purchased a gravely 32 inch stand on and a gravely 48 inch pro stance. My business has changed 2 fold. All mowers fit on 14 ft trailer with room to spare. Reason being I’m saving almost 20 inches on each mower in length. Which in turn translates to getting them in those hard to reach places that a zero sometimes can’t get in too. Which saves trimming which equates to time saved. There’s a little bit of weight difference in favor of the stand on’s. Hill stability is better to me my scag takes the cake on this one. I mow some tight steep property and I have no hesitation putting my V ride in them. The gravely is good , but not as good as scag. I use mine to blow off which again speeds everything up. Visibilty is not even a question because you’re looking over the mower and can spot things that you might not see on a zero. The only con that I truly have is low limbs but I just duck under them. The one up sale my gravely has that my scag doesn’t is you can float the deck with foot assist that you can’t on the scag. Hope that helps. Enjoy your content and docs also.
@@scotthindman6233 thanks Scott, that was some great information! I’ve actually been interested in a standon for a while just don’t know much about them
You have plenty of years to have both type lawn mowers. Since you do large yards the sitting style will give you time to rest your legs. You appear to be tall so a stand up lawnmower may create problems for you having to duck under trees. I would do your demo on a yard that has trees. A topic. Since your two clients that skipped a cut were females. Do you experience a difference from a male client versus a female client? Or are they the same?
Ernest great points sir as always! I definitely need to demo a stander first! Usually women in my experience are a lot tougher to deal with at times to be honest
Haven't tried a stander as we don't have any around here. I'd be happy to try though. At the moment i am fine with my Bobcat sit downs & they will do me for a couple more years. I'll be interested in your thoughts when you try one. Cheers. 👍👊😎🦘
Walker t27i is the mower that can do it all! It’s a must have for fall cleanups!
Yeah man I’ve got a t-23 and t-19 I love them but can’t justify 20k + on the 27
@@CBeason fyi you can save hundreds if you buy it at the Walker open house days! 😁👍🏻
Great video love the stand on mowers don’t buy a bad boy nothing but problems my dealer sells them and they have nothing but problems

I’d look into the Exmark Vertex series they have a 48 in the S series highly recommend 🤙
