Thank you. Love being up north that time of year. Thanks for capturing the sounds and feel on video. And showing how to install the chinking. Looks good
Good to see you back at it. Log jam looks like it worked well. That’s what I’m planning to use on mine once I get to that point. Really peaceful spot with the river rolling by. Cheers!
What a wonderful bird sound as you were casting off to go to the other side. A lovely spot to build on - plenty of space and the inside looks very nice after the chinking. Will be awesome when done - cheers
Very cool little cabin. Was wondering if you have concerns of high water? Did you consider building it higher off the ground? Lots of good times ahead for you in your new off grid get away!!!
When you first started the cabin I was thinking🤔🤔 not too much I guess. But as you kept doing more and more I seen your vision and I must say that is one cool little cabin you just built and I want to do the same thing following your lead. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and God bless you 🙏🙏 please stay safe. PS I was beginning to worry about you that you weren’t doing any videos for a while !!
I just started to work on my cabin in the New England Region of the U.S… starting a new channel too. Lots of work but worth every bit. Love your videos brother. God bless.
Nice size cabin! Planning a stove? Does the river so close to your cabin ever Flood? Or are you on the high side… Chinking jam? I like that product… 2 pails do your cabin? B Deacon Manitoba Canada 🇨🇦
Most of the logs I put on the cabin were green Which made them really heavy to lift But I did not want to wait for them to Dry out I bought a gallon of wet and forget from menards and sprayed it on the log so they would not mold The wet and forget from menards made the logs so they did not mold worked really good
@@cabinlife4551 yeah brother I'm asking because I'm planning to go to my land but I don't know if I should cut them and then wait or just when I'm ready to move I'll move out there and catalogs and and build it like that
@@cabinlife4551 still paying for the land but. I before looking for work near the property then working in the city that everything everything is expensive
If you cut the trees green and then debark them will be super easy To peel the logs. If you cut the trees and let them dry without Peeling the bark offwhen you do debark the trees it will come off super hard
@@cabinlife4551 okay I didn't know that. I got to figure out what I'm going to do because I cannot go and cut the trees without doing that. Because then it will be too hard I think I'm just going to wait till when I move over there and I stop building it slowly but surely
My camera is still my cell phone that I'm using it takes pretty good videos When I made this video Everything seemed really green and the birds were chirping really loud beautiful day
@@cabinlife4551 ok thank you I looked it up and it’s about 200 and something a bucket but that not bad for the ease of it thanks a lot have you seen my cabin you are why I started on my cabin I watched all your video I think you have done a awesome job

I was starting to wonder where you was, the chinking looks really good! Keep em coming ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Thank you
The way you use your boat with the rope reminds me of some old western's I've seen. You ought to build a raft there.
hey good morning how you doing brother thank you for writing back hey did you let your logs dry up before you start it building?

Once again, looks terrific. That Log Jam chinking seems the way to go. How many 5gal buckets did it take for your 12x12?
Thanks kindly!
It took4.... 5 gallon buckets to do my cabin.
What episode did you do the floor?
You got yourself a new camera I think. The image looks great!
My camera is still my cell phone that I'm using it takes pretty good videos When I made this video Everything seemed really green and the birds were chirping really loud beautiful day
You had serious gaps between some of those logs, but your chinking job was first rate.
Looks wonderful 😊
Please tell me yes you're going to peel those logs?
Thank you
How often do you have to reapply it? Beautiful job sir
So far the Chinking has not cracked at all I think in the years to come if I get any cracks I will just add more chinking
why did you leave the bark on that one row of logs
Ahşap duvar arasında kullandığınız bu malzeme nedir?
Thank you
Did anyone suggest backer rod to help with the chinking? Just curious 🙂
I just didn't show it on the video I used Backer rod and steel mush For the gaps🌲
Hey how may buckets dose it take to do all the cracks my cabin is a 12x12 I like that a lot better than wire and concert thanks
That's about the size as my cabin i Thank my cabin is going to take maybe 5 buckets
