ROAD TRIP DAY 7 | Gatlinburg, TN | Goats on the Roof, Main Street, Anakeesta, & More!

🌄 Get ready for another action-packed day on our Summer 2023 Road Trip with Keeping up in Disney! 🚗💨 While we're keeping the Disney magic alive, today's adventure takes us to the charming streets of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, a place bursting with incredible attractions and endless fun.
🐐 Our day started with a unique twist at 'Goats on the Roof' in Pigeon Forge. Not only does this quirky spot have real goats that roam on the roof, but it also offers an exhilarating mountain coaster ride! For just $12 per person, we couldn't resist the thrill and excitement.
🍦 But that's not all-Goats on the Roof has a delightful store to explore, tantalizing ice cream, tasty snacks, adorable goats to pet, and even some arcade games. Plus, there's a new dinosaur mini golf course in the works, adding even more excitement to this unique attraction.
🌆 After our Goat coaster adventure, we headed to the heart of Gatlinburg, where the vibrant streets and bustling atmosphere welcomed us. Parking costs around $20 in the main area, so be prepared.
🍹 We strolled down the main street, exploring a multitude of shops, dining at fantastic restaurants, and enjoying moonshine and wine tastings that were an absolute blast.
🚡 The highlight of our day was undoubtedly 'Anakeesta.' Accessible via chair lift or gondola, this mountain adventure observatory offers breathtaking views, thrilling activities, and exceptional shopping and dining experiences. The Treetop walk was a favorite, as we traversed suspended bridges and platforms that felt like we were floating among the mountain forests.
🌲 Anakeesta's Bearventure and Treeventure walk-through adventure courses provided an adrenaline rush, and we wrapped up the day with a trip to Vista Gardens, where we marveled at the stunning mountain views at sunset.
🌮 Once back in Gatlinburg, our growling stomachs led us to 'Burg Steakhouse' for a mouthwatering steak dinner, putting the perfect ending to a fantastic day.
😍 Gatlinburg had so much more to offer, and we're already planning our next visit to explore all the other exciting activities we couldn't fit into one day.

Goats on the roof is a classic! We really enjoyed the Mountain Coaster. It was actually our intent to vlog the experience, but because we forgot to bring our chest mount for our GoPro and wrist straps aren't permitted, we decided to just enjoy the ride and not worry about trying to build a narrative around it. Way to knock back those samples, Jamie! 😁 We didn't get anywhere near enough time to explore Gatlinburg itself during our trip, and really only made it out to the aquarium and SkyLift Park. We wanted to do Anakeesta so badly, but it was totally sold out for the day, as was the entire parking lot 🫠 So glad that we can live vicariously through you two and your experience! You're not wrong about the incredible view, and the water features are _everything_ - you know we love a well-themed venue! I love how it's like a giant, entry-level ropes course with tree houses and observation decks everywhere. Y'all may not have met an actual bear, but you got a great photo with the stone bear...that's something. 😁 Amazing vlog, guys, thanks for sharing!

We really liked Goats on the Roof! The goats and store were a really cool bonus to the awesome mountain coaster - and the mini golf that’s opening looks fantastic too!
Gatlinburg was so much fun! We wished we would have had another full day or two to do even more there and wanted to do the Sky Lift park and the giant bridge too, but had to kinda make the decision between that or Anakeesta. I’d say we were happy with picking Anakeesta, but we definitely still want to do the Sky Park as well - but the good thing is that it’ll be waiting for us there when we return! The theming and details at Anakeesta were top notch though. It really felt like Disney level of quality and details, put into a mountain nature park setting. Getting to see sunset from the top of the observation tower and then finishing the night with a delicious steak dinner made for a wonderful day in Gatlinburg. We can’t wait to go back!
