Great work! I’m thinking myself to do something similar on Friday so I found your video clip so aspiring. The only promising that my area will be 3 times as yours and I have sloped surface .
I have bichon frise and she is just so loyal and loveable 🥰 nice work 👏 👌 I need to make a small brick landing in my garden bed for a bench and this was the video I needed. Ty
Thanks, you could check my other video, when I'm trying to groom him for the first time: th-cam.com/video/bXQePLW4RJw/w-d-xo.html :) Good luck with your project👍
Thanks, and yes, it was the first time patio job for me. On the other hand, I've watched few videos how to do it, before I started. I'm glad you like it👍
Call me crazy because although u did no talking(which I liked) this is the diy I have chosen to make my patio, after spending hours checking out other videos. Just bought a new house and trying to save money by diying my little back yard patio. Thank u very much
To be honest, I don't remember exactly. I think it was about 3 inches sub base and 2 inches sand. If you want to calculate it, try to look for 'patio sand calculator' on google.
Great work! I'm going to pave one later. Just wonder it is better to use the compactor for the ground before laying the bricks. May I have your opinion? Thank you!
Definitely use compactor if you can. I didn't have an access to any of them so I end up jumping on everything ;-) Also compactor is good for shaking bricks to get the sand between gaps.
To be honest, hard to say. I was lucky to get the used patio bricks for free, all the rest was about £80 for my project. Have a look online for a patio calculator, good luck👍
How big of an area is this? we are looking to do an 8x8 and was curious to how much leveling sand we need. Also What is the type of rock that goes down first? Thanks in advance!
About 20-25cm (9-10 inches) but that area was for a light use only. If you want to build something more robust, to last longer and can handle more weight, I'd say use edgers and go a bit deeper.

Absolutely LOVE your "supervisor"!❤ Inspiring to watch (now I will try) and heartwarming.
Awesome!!! I like how you bag the dirt as you go instead of leaving a big pile. Inspirational. Thank you
Thank you for sharing. I got my supplies today and will by the grace of God start on my patio project tomorrow.😊
Wow! So fun to watch - the doggie watching was the best! Great job, inspires me to tackle my own backyard walkway. Thank You for sharing! A++

Yeah we know who is feeding and taking care of the dog. LOL.

HaHa, Great video, loved the way the dog just stood and watched. Looked like hard yakka, Well done.
love the cotton ball helper !
Great job bro! I’m doing the same thing right now and needed to watch your video!
This was perfect! I came her for ideas to do my backyard. You’ve done an amazing job! Mine won’t be that perfect but I promise it won’t be the worst.
I love ❤️ that dog... so cute 😊
A lot of work but a great video. Couldn’t help loving on the pooch.
Amazing I’m going to do this keeping your vid close by
Thanks. I will do same for my patio. Nice video for DIY.
Aww very cute but so is your gorgeous dog xx
Great job, great video. More people should watch it. Thanks,
Thank you, I've done my best. More 'never done it before' videos coming soon :)
Good video, hope you used he soil for a planter?
Your Bichon is supervising your work
Awesome job! Hives me hope for my patio project.
The dog was clearly SUPERVISING lol
Sorry, but your puppy stole your thunder here....lol !! He never left your side. What a good dog.
Btw , great effort and turn out .
Thanks for the video. Straight to the point!
Great vid! I’m thinking about doing something like this. What were the supplies you used?
Exactly! What did he use? No “links in the description”
A super video. A lot of work - well done! Good job.
May I know what is the tool called/name you user to break the bricks/stone?
I’m looking to have something similar done. Thank you
No cement at all? Are you sure it will hold shape and not shift over time and weather?
Do you need special bricks for this? And how do they stay stuck in the ground without cement?
That’s one loyal pooch
I pretty much understood everything except,,, what did you take that made you move so Fast 💨? That would help me a Great 👍 deal !
It's my dog. He bite me every time I slow down...
Thanks :)
Also how thick of layer did you put the Paver base and then the sand?
To be honest, I don't remember exactly. I think it was about 3 inches sub base and 2 inches sand. If you want to calculate it, try to look for 'patio sand calculator' on google.
At 8:35 what is the name of that tool you're using to split the bricks? At 9:25 what is he spreading over the bricks? What is the purpose of that?
He's spreading sand over the bricks as filler for the joints.
Watched just for the dog
It's easy as 1, 2... 457!
Happy dog! How many hours did it take.. how much did it cost? Thanks
That made me happy
It looks great! May i know the measurement?
Thanks! It's 50 x 75 inches (about 1.25m x 1.9m)
WHATS THAT BRICK CUTTER YOU USE? PLEASE REPLY
Wow. Very nice !
Beautiful job.
Great job
Got to appreciate a dude that builds a patio with a steak knife! Nice work. PS. Your neighbor’s yard looks like sh*t. Lol.
Impressive!
Thank you :)

Maciej Wlodarz thank you for your reply!☺️
How many days did that take or hours if you have that info.? Thanks size of your patio?
Oh should I buy new brick or buy recycled ones.?
Do you have to add the rocks and sand?
how's it holding up???
Thank you for the video
so at 8:57 of your video something crawls out of the grass and under the umbrella stand? just curious. oh and great job love the dog.
Hahaha you're right, just to confirm - no wiggly worms were harmed during making this video.
Thanks :)
What’s the purpose of the rocks?
To create stable, even surface and support the drainage.
@@maxiikazz thank you. Great editing on the video and chill dog, I watched the whole thing lol
What tools did you use to cut the bricks?
Brick chisel. Deadly device that :)
What was the cost of material for this 50x75 patch ? Thanks !
To be honest, hard to say. I was lucky to get the used patio bricks for free, all the rest was about £80 for my project. Have a look online for a patio calculator, good luck👍
Can I use brick with holes in them? I was given hundreds for free so will that work for this? Thanks!
Can't see why not
Why did you lay dirt on the bricks at the end..
It's a sand, part of the process. It needs to get in the gaps between the blocks to secure them.
How big of an area is this? we are looking to do an 8x8 and was curious to how much leveling sand we need. Also What is the type of rock that goes down first?
Thanks in advance!
It was 50 x 75 inches. I'vee used 8 bags of sand and 5 bags of sub base (rocks) from B&Q uk.
How far down into your lawn did you dig? Would you recommend using the edgers?
About 20-25cm (9-10 inches) but that area was for a light use only. If you want to build something more robust, to last longer and can handle more weight, I'd say use edgers and go a bit deeper.
amazing :) how long did it take to finish ? i think for ages... i want to do same thing but i m not brave like you
Thank you ;-)
About four hours. The longest and most boring part was digging and leveling.
Get someone to help you and do it, satisfaction is great :)
@@maxiikazz How far down do you have to dig? I assume based on the thickness of the brick you purchase?
Wheeler Law Firm, LTD. depends what’s it for, anything heavy 150mm,100mm for sub base
Why use the white rocks before the sand?
It's sub-base for drainage
How big is the patio? And how many bricks you used for that space? Planning to build one for our back garden
Nice!!
That worm at 9:00 tho (upper left)
Why so small?
howmuchcostyou?
Where's the piwo?
In the lodówka :)
Never did it before. Your welcome!
Is it 'never done it before' grammatically incorrect? I didn't know :-)
what kind of stones are these?
Hmm patio bricks? Don't know the 'proper' name, sorry
K
i am dumb.i am stupid
I feel sorry for him not having a wheel barrel. He used a bag😫
Looking back, I can still remember the back pain. Would't do it again without the wheel barrel :)
@@maxiikazz People! It's a wheel 'barrow' (not 'barrel')!
