I find that people prefer Gamma over EFP. Personally, I love Gamma but I hit a wall every time I play it. I feel that EFP has a more natural progression and allows me to see more of the game. Just my opinion of course. Thanks for the video.
I have been playing EFP more lately because I'm also grinding Tarkov.
As someone who has played both extensively, I can give my honest opinion. Gamma feels like it still needs some tweaks for progression to be smoother. Early on, guns should be purchasable so that you don't run into the issue where you have a shotgun but need replacement parts, and the only stash around is in the red forest. Either that, or make it so stash locations stay in the location you got your quest from. EFP has much more fluid progression, and is more fun (again, in my opinion) simply because you do more in one session. In GAMMA, in an hour I: Took 3 quests, completed one, ran out of meds in garbage, returned, spent all my money on meds, continued questing, died because I only had a pistol in serviceable condition, while my rifle was unusable because it's barrel broke. In EFP I: Took 3 quests, completed all 3 quests, found an SVD on a bandit, got it fixed, spent some time questing around Cordon, and made enough money to head to the great swamps for the main questline. All in All, Gamma has more content, but EFP is more fun.
I’ve just find this games. I play Tarkov a lot (still noob btw) and I wanted a single player survival experience and I’ve founded Gamma. What is this mod? Why is it better then Gamma? I’m dying a lot in Gamma 😂
You can edit your progression etc... To your liking..

I'm liking the new map in efp where I play as my favourite faction counter strike in conflict with the faction cheeki breeki spetnatz 69. I don't know if is historically accurate, it lacks a bit of Stalin posters and explosive babushkas. nonetheless gonna play gaymma next.

can you make a video about mods that are compatible with EFP? I read somewhere that Expedition doesn't work with it but idk if they're talking about the modpack or just the graphics version
Yeah i will look into that after I do the Gamma Modpack. There is the EFP/ desolation modpack that has the graphical update.
@ass killme I installed Expedition like three times, I had this issue that some texture always broken and ruin the graphics in game, better instal this EFP mod pack once maybe add like 1hit crates for faster loot, also install the hotfix texture reshade from their discord for better performance and saves you from headache.

ironically there is an offline single player tarkov mod that's pretty fun, but this is sick, because it's anomaly. and just to help for next time sewing kit is pronounced "sow'ing" and chimera is pronounced "kai'mare'uh"
Is there any reliable way to remove radiation?
Even minor radiation exposure or eating mutant can kill me, and med/cig/alcohol are too expensive.
There are many different radiation medications. I believe the Wrench artifact removes radiation I'm not totally sure which artifacts remove radiation but those are the best way to not get irradiated. I usually mix endurance artifacts with anti radiation ones.
Early game will be cigarettes, alcohol, water and being careful.
8:42 slightly incorrect you have to have the lock pick satchel and put individual lock picks into the satchel and use that to unlock lock boxes. learnt from experience and annoyance factor wondering why lock picks don't work.

Just install a different main menu addon from moddb. There’s plenty to choose from.

Just started in EFP after a year playing anomaly+provaks. EFP has a big issue and i cant find any solution, my companions are almost inmortal, they can tank all the map by their own
That is a mod that was added to the mod organizer. In the mod organizer there should be an option to turn off immortal companions. I personally don't use companions at all they get in the way.

@@panzerabteilung Honestly I like both EFP and Gamma, Gamma is superior though it adds new story elements and is more challenging and interesting. You do have to learn the crafting and how to build stuff though traders do not sell guns or armor.

Hi, I'm interested in finishing the OG titles before going into huge overhaul mod packs, but I'd really like to mod the gunplay of the OG so it feels modernized and as crisp as possible. I play a lot of InsurgencySandstorm/Hell Let Loose so kind of tactishooters but not hyper-realistic or anything like that...
Is that possible? I really want to do the OG run as vanilla as possible before going into these huge overhauls that literally change every single mechanic in the game...
If you are playing shadow of chernobyl I would recommend radiophobia 3, also Stalker OGSR gunslinger. For Clear sky play Lost Fallout Overall, and for Call of Pripyat play Misery or The Sigerous Mod.

@@justoalvarez3940 Radiophobia 3 has some medical items from anomaly and some animations. It also has a good weapon selection and graphics overhaul. But it is very vanilla it doesn't change any quests besides some new collector quests and side quests, so it would be an overhauled vanilla experience. OGSR adds a bunch of side missions and quests that weren't available in the original release of SOC but it is considered to be the best game to play if you want to not play vanilla SOC.
@@TheUnaBoomer is there a way to play the exact vanilla game (as bug-free as possible) only with the gunplay of that OGSR Gunslinger mod (weapon collision, smooth sway, and active crosshair) on top of it???
I would also take my time to make it super pretty if it's possible (I got an RTX 3060) but it's completely irrelevant compared to the gunplay/feel thing...

Are all crafting recipes unlocked at start?
Yes they are
Crafting ammo is a complete waste of time you would have to complete the game ten times to gather enough parts to make half the ammo you would need for one play through. In EFP it is more costly to fix/repair guns/armor. When guns cost around 45k and over it starts to break even so just buy them until then unless you completely luck out and find a ton of repair tools and parts that are 100% and good luck doing that.
I was just showing that it is a feature. If you play GAMMA it is the only way to get high end ammo

EFP or GAMMA? Judging by this review they actually look kind of similar, only EFP seems to focus on weapon realism a bit more.
EFP is more vanilla anomaly with the Tarkov weapons and mag system with updated items and body health system. Gamma actually changes the game with new questlines and new crafting options for weapons and artifacts but has a lot of EFPs features.

@@TheUnaBoomer how is the loot in comparison? Never played efp . In gamma the stash needs to be marked for content. Is it the same system in efp?
@@platzhirschtv4770 efp has way more loot and items. Also the mechanics repair everything.
I have loved GAMMA so far. I like the crafting and the way it forces more self-reliance in the survival aspect, while keeping the combat VERY deadly and the weapons more realistic than vanilla. I have not tried EFP, so I can't say whether I enjoy it more or not. Also, my computer is a potato and GAMMA runs pretty okay if you turn the settings down a bit.

Think EFP is more for me, as GAMMA is too focused on crafting for my taste.
STALKER is fun when fighting and encountering the dynamic nature of the world, when I’m constantly scavenging to repair/maintain shit it’s too much tedious busywork.
How is gamma too focused on crafting ? It's really not lol I havnt even crafted anything yet and I got high gear by looting

You cannot get gear without crafting, that’s the entire point of the GAMMA mod pack, unless you disable ‘GAMMA economy’ in MO2. You HAVE to break down everything you get with tools and use files etc to repair parts.

Stalker anomaly is all about tweaking towards your liking.. that being said you can buy guns and armor and don't need to craft if you don't want to

The actual point of stalker anomaly is that you can tweak the game to your hearts content , to create your own playstyle, your own game..

My point being, playing GAMMA as it was intended to the modder’s vision revolves around finding and repairing kit, you cannot buy stuff at traders unless you disable GAMMA economy and enable Trader Overhaul. But then, it’s not GAMMA.

Should I play EFP or GAMMA?
I like both and have both installed. EFP I play more just to shoot and mess around. I play Gamma for the new story elements and play it more seriously so I guess Gamma but they are both good imo.

I wish I could play escape from pripyat on xbox so badly. Or just offline Escape from Tarkov PvE tarkov on xbox. That's all i need. Dark souls Trilogy and some kind of Tarkov-like game. Just play those games over and over again.
I would suggest look into building a budget gaming pc. You don't need crazy specs to run stalker or dark souls.

I don't know i respect modders and time they put in these mods and modpacks but this doesn't feel like Stalker to me at this point... it's just a wannabe Tarkov and Tarkov itself isn't even that amazing outside of the weapons and gunplay. It removes any and all charm the OG Stalker games heck even CoC/Anomaly had. From icons to sounds to armors/character models to adding new out of place characters in the game (there are no females in the zone for many reasons why break the lore?) it just changes everything but not in a good way. Anyways if you guys enjoy it then that's good but to me this is just wack.
I mean the whole point is to make it escape from tarkov. If you want a more true too vanilla modpack try Gamma it adds alot of cool new stuff.

I guess if i could customize EFP to keep gameplay but change everything else to be classic Stalker then i'd enjoy it way more. Gamma sounds good too will give it a look thanks.

My favorite stalker mods of all time are Stalker Soup and Joint pak 2.1 which are based on the original shadow of chernobyl but add even more content, more than anomaly or any stalker mod ever but keeps the exact same style of game play. I'm going to do a video on them soon but check that out above all these anomaly mod packs.
