Getting married on a cruise ship sounds amazing. One of the best things is you are getting married in February off the coast of Australia so it will be summer then and the photos will be amazing. I can’t wait to see them. Love from Australia 😊

How exciting. We married in New York 1999 at City Hall. We went out alone met a luvly couple who were our witnesses. Had party for family when we got home. Amazing time best wedding ever. Congratulations ❤

I was a guest on a P&O wedding when I was younger. It was so so lush! You'll love it. I'm a huge cruiser and have been on over 40 in my 28 years and the bride and groom's we've seen always look so happy and so chilled! Have the best time!!
It’s such a cliche to say ‘your day, your way’ but I wholeheartedly agree with it. Our wedding ceremony was a year ago today, and it was just us, our mums and my father in law (my dad was there by my side in my heart 😢) we had a party 2 weeks after and very much enjoyed it but it’s down to personal choice. Benji is so right, as long as you two are married, and you declare your love for one another, you’ve achieved ‘getting married’ I am so excited to see all your upcoming wedding videos!! Much love xx

It was not what we wanted and we just went along with what my family wanted. It’s not that I regret being married but it was not the day we wanted or in fact needed. I feel everything you said, it's crazy how similar my story is. I attended weddings and it just didn't feel like us at all, I couldn't imagine standing in front of so many people all eyes on me I hate that sort of stiff for me. I love seeing others do it but we just weren't those people and it was 100% the right choice by us. My mother in law looked after our elder cat while we were gone for 2 months I was so worried about how I would feel leaving her but it's so good that they're with family and it will all be good! So excited for you guys you'll love Australia it's beautiful here. And I totally agree we got an entire 2 month holiday for the cost of a one day wedding at home and got ao many experiences and memories
Oh I adore the wedding/honeymoon idea, visiting all those awesome places. How exciting! People often say we'd love to travel but cant afford it but then happily spend thousands on the traditional wedding. I know what I would rather spend the money on, the best of both worlds.
It is so refreshing to hear someone say that backpacking isn't for them! I watch amazing influencers travel all over the world, but I need a good bed and a good toilet!! Your wedding will be fantastic, I have been married 10 years and at the time I thought the wedding was what I wanted (we had a smallish wedding, hotel) and I loved it but honestly? Wish we had done what you guys are doing!!
Just want to say congratulations to you both, I think you are doing the exactly the right thing in getting married on board ship. Looking back at our wedding which was 34 years ago today, 29th April, if we were getting married now we would have done something similar, our wedding day went by in a blur, we had so many family members telling us what they wanted us to do for our wedding we were exhausted by the end of it. We love cruising, have done many cruises with P&O and as next year is our 35th Anniversary we have booked a 7 night trip on board Arcadia to celebrate. Arcadia is a beautiful ship, completely different to the larger ships like Iona and Arvia you get a more personal experience on Arcadia as she is so much smaller I will look forward to watching anything you decide to share, so excited for you xx
What you are doing is amazing, we would have got married with no guest but my husbands Mum had cancer and none of her 4 children were married so we wanted her to see her son get married before she passed away.

How exciting! My hubby and I chose our honeymoon destination (New York) and fit our wedding in Vegas around it. I knew I didn't want a big wedding, which was already getting out of hand, and couldn't justify the cost. We took 4 close family members and upgraded our flights, 5* hotels, had limo and helicopter transfers, and a wedding planner for less cost than a very small UK wedding. We had a large party on our return for friends and other family. It was perfect for us and I still smile at the memories nearly 20 years later. You just know when something feels right 🥂

Oh my DAYS!! I would not have guessed but now you say I’m like - WOW!! That is a genius idea!! I believe marriage is also before God hence the origin of it being in a church but if you don’t believe in God then why would you feel you had to!! So so so respect you both thinking about what YOU folks want and yes!! About to go on my 5th cruise very very soon and have said exactly the same things that the unpacking is genuinely really freeing to not have to do every day - it’s an AMAZE itinerary!! I was interested in cruising around a similar time to you and I got encouragement and ‘get up and do it’ off you folks doing it as young people and the bit you have chosen is just simply superb!! I just left my dog with my Mom for 5 weeks while I moved cross country. I was super sad and missed him, but he had the best time being spoiled by Grandma! Only downside is he is now really attached to my Mom and I have to remind him I am his original Mom! LOL :)

Just want to say that every wedding, regardless of how it's arranged, who's invited, where it is etc is never perfect for everyone, and for some reason people feel like they have the right to express those opinions. Weddings are about the two people getting married, that's it! Not about that person who babysat you a few times or the woman who you walk past when walking the dog etc Love the cruise, honeymoon and wedding. Such a cool idea, I traveled for 3 months after our wedding ( back packing ) so less glamorous 😅 but you'll have an amazing time. Lots of yummy places to eat in the bay of islands especially if you like sea food. Have an amazing time 🎉

I feel everything you said, it's crazy how similar my story is. I attended weddings and it just didn't feel like us at all, I couldn't imagine standing in front of so many people all eyes on me I hate that sort of stiff for me. I love seeing others do it but we just weren't those people and it was 100% the right choice by us. My mother in law looked after our elder cat while we were gone for 2 months I was so worried about how I would feel leaving her but it's so good that they're with family and it will all be good! So excited for you guys you'll love Australia it's beautiful here. And I totally agree we got an entire 2 month holiday for the cost of a one day wedding at home and got ao many experiences and memories

Oh I adore the wedding/honeymoon idea, visiting all those awesome places. How exciting! People often say we'd love to travel but cant afford it but then happily spend thousands on the traditional wedding. I know what I would rather spend the money on, the best of both worlds.

Your wedding will be fantastic, I have been married 10 years and at the time I thought the wedding was what I wanted (we had a smallish wedding, hotel) and I loved it but honestly? Wish we had done what you guys are doing!!

Just want to say congratulations to you both, I think you are doing the exactly the right thing in getting married on board ship. Looking back at our wedding which was 34 years ago today, 29th April, if we were getting married now we would have done something similar, our wedding day went by in a blur, we had so many family members telling us what they wanted us to do for our wedding we were exhausted by the end of it. We love cruising, have done many cruises with P&O and as next year is our 35th Anniversary we have booked a 7 night trip on board Arcadia to celebrate. Arcadia is a beautiful ship, completely different to the larger ships like Iona and Arvia you get a more personal experience on Arcadia as she is so much smaller I will look forward to watching anything you decide to share, so excited for you xx

What you are doing is amazing, we would have got married with no guest but my husbands Mum had cancer and none of her 4 children were married so we wanted her to see her son get married before she passed away.

How exciting! My hubby and I chose our honeymoon destination (New York) and fit our wedding in Vegas around it. I knew I didn't want a big wedding, which was already getting out of hand, and couldn't justify the cost. We took 4 close family members and upgraded our flights, 5* hotels, had limo and helicopter transfers, and a wedding planner for less cost than a very small UK wedding. We had a large party on our return for friends and other family. It was perfect for us and I still smile at the memories nearly 20 years later. You just know when something feels right 🥂

Oh my DAYS!! I would not have guessed but now you say I’m like - WOW!! That is a genius idea!! I believe marriage is also before God hence the origin of it being in a church but if you don’t believe in God then why would you feel you had to!! So so so respect you both thinking about what YOU folks want and yes!! About to go on my 5th cruise very very soon and have said exactly the same things that the unpacking is genuinely really freeing to not have to do every day - it’s an AMAZE itinerary!! I was interested in cruising around a similar time to you and I got encouragement and ‘get up and do it’ off you folks doing it as young people and the bit you have chosen is just simply superb!! I just left my dog with my Mom for 5 weeks while I moved cross country. I was super sad and missed him, but he had the best time being spoiled by Grandma! Only downside is he is now really attached to my Mom and I have to remind him I am his original Mom! LOL :)

We are doing the same this year, tagged getting married when we are on a holiday to Florida. Just us and our two boys
Just want to say that every wedding, regardless of how it's arranged, who's invited, where it is etc is never perfect for everyone, and for some reason people feel like they have the right to express those opinions. Weddings are about the two people getting married, that's it! Not about that person who babysat you a few times or the woman who you walk past when walking the dog etc Love the cruise, honeymoon and wedding. Such a cool idea, I traveled for 3 months after our wedding ( back packing ) so less glamorous 😅 but you'll have an amazing time. Lots of yummy places to eat in the bay of islands especially if you like sea food. Have an amazing time 🎉
