Hey girl I love this! I recently got my SLPA license yay! I’d like to know how you got a job at a school/interviewing, most of the jobs I find are home health based and I’m struggling trying to find one that is either a school or clinic. thanks girl :)
Girl it was luck!! Lol kidding, but it did take a while. You gotta look literally everywhere. LinkedIn is a good resource! Also Google searches went a long way… Keep looking! Everyday! The interview process was lengthy, but I actually thought early intervention was a harder process. For the school district it was a bit intimidating, but if you’re confident in what you know, that’ll really stand out.
Thanks for this! Could you do a video on how to deal with behavior problems? What do you do when they start talking over you or talk amongst each other (I’m struggling with middle schoolers! 😓)? I’m thinking it has a lot to do with building rapport at the beginning. I’m not very good at that yet. Working on it.

Absolutely! I feel as though I just mastered working with elementary, so middle and high school is still a challenge, but I can share some tips :)
