Qawwali is an energetic musical performance of Sufi poetry that takes place every 'Jumme Ki Raat' or Thursday night in the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, New Delhi.
The presnt-day Qawwali culture can be tracked down to sufi saint Amir Khusro, whose shrine is located in this dargah. He is said to be the originator of Qawwali.
