  • Todays' video is all about my Weekly Meal Plan and Food Prep. I did not shop for groceries this week, instead shopped my refrigerator, freezer and pantry and came up with this meal plan. I plan breakfasts, lunches and dinners for my family of 4. In this video I am preparing meal components which I will use in the meals for the upcoming week.
    xoxo

    I love how you reused the cereal bags to keep the parathas from sticking together! I'll start that now as well for freezing, thank you!

      Thank you Svenja☺️use them not just for separating parathas, but also if you want to freeze pancakes, waffles or burgers! And to roll out non gluten doughs to make tortillas (almond flour tortillas or flaxseed tortilla or various millet flour flour tortillas)😊

    Hi,
    Amazing meal prep video! However, I would like to know what containers do you have and from where did you buy it for storing food?
    Could you make a video on that?

    • @lifeadmin365
      @lifeadmin365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I will surely make a detailed video on the storage containers I use... but for your information, some of the glass containers are from Snapware. Container is glass, while lids are of plastic.. HTH

      Absolutely Ramya.. Right now I am working on meal prep series, but maybe around mid-April, when I do my semi annual deep cleaning, I will do a detailed one. Thanks for the request.

    Hello, really liking your videos, just a question, which electrical griddle are you using and how do you clean it up. Doest the griddle wear off easily?

    • @lifeadmin365
      @lifeadmin365  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Bhawna, so glad you are liking my videos. I am using Presto electrical griddle and I have it since 2011 or 2012, so its come a long way :) Though, it has seen better days, it is perfectly functional... Mostly because it's not non-stick... i think it's anodized and therefore has lasted longer... Cleaning is a pain and i think, I do it totally the wrong way. But this what I do..
      - wipe off the greasy surface with a damp paper towel. Do this when it's warm for you to handle the griddle
      - Then, I use a soft scrub pad, which has very little soap, and gently scrub the surface.
      - Then using a damp paper towel, wipe off the soap
      - Then using a damp kitchen (cloth) towel, wipe it clean
      - Wipe it with a dry cloth towel
      - Store it away
      Hope this is helpful!

    Use food processor for onions

    • @lifeadmin365
      @lifeadmin365  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Poli.. Just like you, a lot of family has suggested to chop onions in the food processor. But I have serious OCD where dicing is concerned😂 They have to be a certain size and as uniform as possible. And food processor does not give me the square dice that I am looking for, so I always dice onions on a cutting board. Plus, I find that when I dice by knife, the onions don't smell so strongly and last longer.

    How many days will the pancakes stay frozen? Do you need to defrost them in the refrigerator one night before for breakfast the next day? N how do you warm them up - on pan or in microwave, when getting them ready for breakfast? Thanks! I have enjoyed all your videos so far. Good job.

    • @lifeadmin365
      @lifeadmin365  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am glad you have enjoyed watching my videos😊Thank you 🙏🏼 I have frozen pancakes for up to 8 weeks. Yes you need to defrost them overnight or for at least 3-4 hours. I warm them up in microwave… place a damp paper towel over 2-3 defrosted/thawed pancakes and microwave in 45-60 seconds or until they are warm to your liking.. drizzle with syrup or smear Peanut Butter, top with few banana slices and enjoy! HTH 😊

    What all can we use the onion tomato masala for from this weeks list and otherwise?

    • @lifeadmin365
      @lifeadmin365  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This masala is very versatile. You can use it for any gravy based dishes like paneer butter masala, or daal makhani base or chana masala... just adjust the flavoring when making the final dish... For example, when making paneer butter masala, saute this masala in butter vs oil, add crushed kassori methi, powdered cardamom, garam masala, tomato paste (to intensify taste) and add heavy cream along with paneer... for daal makhani, saute this masala in butter along with bay leaf, cinnamon stick, black cardamom and 1 clove, add garlic powder, daal, heavy cream... I will make a separate video to show several uses of this multi purpose masala. Hope this is useful.
