    I remember when i was younger, i use to have one of those, damn i remember getting alligator clips and buttons from radio shack and sears, and using wires from broken earphones, putting all of them together and just keep pressing the buttons until the battery died, those were fun times for me lol.

  • @adrianv8632
    @adrianv8632 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Nice I used to build these from scratch back in the 90s with my brother Im planning on building a few again. The motors and wires we found in old rc cars walkmans and old radio's also I used a power cord from my Nintendo to power it intended of battery when I was home. I might grab a kit and some ds from there.

      Yup, from the video it looks like it runs pretty smooth the ones we used to make kind of used to snag and won't drop off all the way sometimes but was still fun when I was a kid. I will grab a few of these kits now that they have the 10% off on them thanks for the video bro ill keep an eye out for the next one.

    that's exactly how we use to make our kits accept we did it ourselves use wire clothes hangers for the u bolts to get all you need is wire cutters and fishing line and the motors we use to get from radio shack those and the switches and batteries

      Back when I started lifting models, the only method was using Bobby pins for bouncing, I didn't like it so I put my 12 yr old brain to work and invented and pioneered the style we all see now, so yes to the best of my knowledge I modernized and basically made it possible for others to fly with there imaginations

    Great explanation. Didn’t relieve how easy it was. I’m new to the lowrider model culture & curious, when u say “sutter” (I think)(@ 2:22, 3:18, 3:45) what’s does that mean. What does that consist of? Just folding the wires to what it’s connected to?

    • @dereed5991
      @dereed5991 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay after research I meant “solder”. Using a solder gun. Is it mandatory & the only way to connect the wires is by using one?

    • @lowlowsandclothes9923
      @lowlowsandclothes9923  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not at all, although it’s the best and the strongest way, with the wires being zip tied in place theirs no need for a strong hold. You can just put the end of the wire in the holes all of the motors and switches have and just twist them together, I actually did that on the first review I did because it’s faster but you shouldn’t have any problems if you don’t have a soldering gun

      There’s definitely ways to get around it but I’m fine with how they are, the holes in the plastic get cut and then the string sticks so the first thing I always do is add some metal grommets to them, the next thing you can do is use some really heavy braided line like 100 pound test, last is to get those metal things with a set screw on them to replace the plastic gears since they won’t strip, and also double up on the braided line.
