The mono block XLT was kind of a dog back in the day by Polaris standards anyway. The 700 XC was a rocket. A better comparison would have been the RXL, 650 and fuel injected. Just my opinion.
I still ride my 95xlt special.....I had my motor replaced ( certain parts) and now ....with a new track.. o-100kph is absolutely awesome...I'm fairly big..6'4 and 235lbs ish...awesome experience..when pushed to extreme...g forces are great....arms and legs 🦵 get a great workout 👏
The xlts clutching is wrong. It bogs hard at full engagement. You need to change that. My xlt is a rocket. Sounds like an absolute beast too. Stock. Something is wrong there
I already new the answer. Have a 98 xc700. It's mint. It's a real tiger for a 700. My years 700s n 800s go hide when I bring out the little 700 lol. Have 03xcr done up. At 50 the little 700 will b there till 100 then the xcr runs off but damn it's stock. However The cat 700 firecats of today r a real pain in the ass.

Another channel has an XC 700 that has lost only once to an 800 cc. Among 7 other similar cc sleds. Very fast!

I had a 95 xlt and it was a dog. Deep snow was impossible to go through. Sold it for 600 bucks
14.5 front shock and 12 in the back. Re drill the tunnel and move bolts forward. Tighten the track and enjoy…. Your welcome.lol

my belt was bad. I have since changed it and I pulled on the 700. I will get video this winter. hauls ass now

XC 700 IS BETTER YEAH BUT YOU CANT COMPARE WITH 20 FT OF TRACK
The xc is a way better chassis by years
