I totally agree, I was developing this kind of traits and when my father saw it, he called me arrogant. Now I have developed the same traits as his and I really hate it. It is not too late to change. After the traumatic events that happened to my life because of me being a nice guy and inauthentic, I rather be hated by being authentic than being liked as a nice guy. Slowly I started to reclaim myself, I felt I gave up my dignity and humanity trying to please and trying to fit in for other people. Cringiest moment of my life perhaps the most valuable lesson I have learned. Now, Im starting to stand up for myself, willing to say my opinion despite to opposition from others. Im starting to slowly feel a little confident everytime I do so.
