Ugh this is the face of an abused, stuck woman and it's heartbreaking
I'm glad this judge understood the issue happening
That's discernment. That lady is living in fear.
Absolutely 💯
Now HERE is a proper Judge.
Someone who is thinking about the whole situation and NOT just enforcing rules.
She is always like this.
What a blessing for her community.
That poor woman... I hope she gets help. No one should have to live with that abuse...😢🙏🙏🙏
She really felt that domestic abuse there. Good judge, good perception. She saw it, her face immediately showed, that she has a good idea about the situation in that home.
My dad was a cop for 30 years and he always said he dreaded domestic calls the most. It's so volatile. He hated these creeps.
How heartbreaking. I'm surprised the judge didn't send police to this poor woman to do a welfare check. The city needs to simply impound the damn motorhome and keep her out of it.
She may have sent the police.. we will have to watch and see.
Sending the police may have put her in more danger…the husband does not sound reasonable
Judge Washington is a treasure. Firm but compassionate.
What happened? It cut off before the end. That poor woman.
Judge Washington is a blessing for that community. To be so in tune with the undercurrents and read the danger. Also the empathy and connection she showed the next defendant as well. Kudos to Judge Washington.
Mr Barnett was an absolute star during this as well as Judge Washington. His face turned grave with concern for this lady. His silence and leaving it to the Bench was highly professional and considerate. Instant agreement with whatever the Judge needed. Prayers and love sent that she be relived from her existence and is allowed to live again. 🙏
Hopefully Judge Washington is able to get her some help and maybe even find a way to have that RV grandfathered in - if it has been there all this time and it’s plated and insured, I wonder why it’s just becoming an issue now. I wonder if it’s a new ordinance. I feel for that woman. I hope she is ok! 🙏
I'd like to know why it's an issue now as well. And I feel for her as well.
I'm guessing it's either a new rule ( in which case grandfathering it into compliance would seem the right thing) or else maybe a compliance officer suddenly deciding to crack down all of a sudden. Either way, I think it's absolutely bogus that a person can't park a registered vehicle on their own property. That is just grossly unjust.
People like her are the reason adverse possession exists.
Often it means a new neighbor has appeared, and is busy trying to "improve" the neighborhood.
It might also be something environmental, to do with how old the vehicle is or the shape it is in.
But that woman needs help.
Sadly she is probably as stuck with that horrible man as she is the vehicle.
She'd be much better off with just the vehicle and without the man.
Geez, as soon as that guy started talking I got chills, she’s being abused. 😢
I'm so thankful for the judge reading between the lines. She's a good one for that. She's protecting a woman based on a vibe and I'm here for it.
He is 100% abusing her, and I'm glad the judge and lawyer recognized she was being put in danger with this case and decided to step back to figure out how to resolve this safely.
This poor woman needs to get out and getsl out NOW! You can tell she's absolutely terrified of her husband! I'm sure he knocks her around all the time. I pray she finds a way out of this situation! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The judge needs to warn him not to interfere with the removal of the motorhome. If he does, through words or action, he should be put in jail. The lady needs to report him as being violent. Hate these situations.
Just a reminder that women in DV situations are the most at risk when trying to leave. She needs to do what’s best for herself right now. Hopefully she can safely navigate herself out of this situation.
@@emilys3757 Sounds very true, I'm not familiar with these situations but I do know they are dangerous.
@Chantoddler1 I worked in Long Term Care facilities for about a decade, so I’ve had experience coordinating with insurance case managers. Don’t envy your former job at all.
I hope Mrs. Herring gets the help she needs. Marriages should not be built on fear.
Oh my heart , poor woman
It's been there for 20 years and they are just now having a zoning issue with it wtf 🙄
I hope the judge behind the scenes free this woman from her abuser.😐😟
I feel for that lady in the first case. Something definitely ain’t right 🤔.
Yes. She acknowledged her husband is abusing her. You could tell when she went outside to talk. My father was just like him. He’s dead now.
The look on the judge’s face when she quickly left the home…and the concern on the prosecutor’s face! They know! I’ve no doubt the motor home had been parked there for 20 years and all it takes is a new neighbor to move in and report it. It’s also possible a new neighbor had a run in with that horrible man and reported it. I hope she can get away from him.
Bless this woman.
Mr Herring is a petulant child
Both cases were handled very well Judge. I'm happy one of the cases were successful. I hope the woman in the other case gets help out of this abusive relationship.
I'm in tears for this woman. She's so afraid of that man. I remember getting black eyes, being knocked down and kicked with Timberland boots. Dragged by my hair, you just feel hopeless. He separated me from my parents and friends, broke my phone. I had no one but him. Finally took our son in the middle of the night and never looked back. I hope she gets the courage to be free from that abuse.
Save that amazing woman.❤
The Judge will take the week to decide how to handle the abuser if he lays one hand on the defendant. He is having her take on all that he has done to the property and making her pay, for she did not make the mess, her abusive lazy bum husband did this to her. Hope the Judge can help save this abused lady.
I believe the lady😢
Im sooo glad Im single🙏my 2 sons are grown, Im setlled into a townhouse....no wayyy no howww would I bring anybody in my home
Same. I'm finally in my own place with my two children. I will never allow myself to date or let anyone move in with me ever again. We worked too hard to get here.
Wouldn't be surprised if that monster of a hubby physically as much as mentally and emotionally abuses "wifey"! She needs to GTFO and I applaud Judge Washington for reading between the lines, too! You heard the way he was even cussing Judge Washington out and she had to put him back in his place!!
Same...I left an abusive man and have never looked back. It's been 5 years
Good judge
Dude with the property owner, needs to get a reality check at the federal penitentiary, for he is not all that bright. And an abuser, he will fit in at the Federal pent. Hope he gets sent there someday soon for spousal abuse.
So what happened to the rest of that case ? They were on again at the end and then it was cut off.
This poor woman, I feel for her.
Oh wow, this lady is in trouble with this guy, she needs to get aeay from him.😮😢
The woman SAID there is a “domestic issue” which is likely to cause her bodily harm.
I'm very glad that judge adjourned the hearing for a week so she can decide on how to assist this lady. Obviously, Mrs. Herring is in need of assistance & I hope the judge gets her some DV help as well as some assistance with the zoning infraction.
This is how you laugh away your motorhome. This guy needs a cell for treating his wife that way.
Leave! Make a plan, find a safe place and leave!
What did the judge do? What happened to her?
Leave it to the government to ask for an order that allows them to steal your property AND charge you for the privilege 🙄
👍👍
Update?
Did that dude on the lower right hand take off his belt?
Can she still hear with the phone so far away now?
Most of the comments on this video express some feeling for this unfortunate woman, and some respect for the judge's empathetic response to the situation she could see and hear, but where is the outrage that this horribly personal issue was recorded and put up on the internet for the whole world (including the potentially abusive husband) to gawk at?
Well if you notice the hearing was cut short. That's because the Judge wanted to discuss it privately once it was brought to her attention. This was just a zoning case the Judge was not expecting a lunatic abusive husband. I seen a molestation trial and I think that should never be public. The minor is not there but people can notice her father. Now the whole town knows smh
Why did it end before the second hearing!! Frustrating 😮
Judge wanted to discuss the rest off line, so she cut the live feed. Judge Washington does that often.
@katebriggs9301 these people aren't here for your entertainment! The judge cut the feed to discuss a sensitive issue privately. These court cams are a privilege not a right, a rare window into real life.
@@jtsotherone dude calm down! I didn’t know it was the court that did it! I thought it was the channel!
@@sandboxplayerz667 thank you for letting me know kindly! Some people take TH-cam way to seriously 😳
Learned helplessness is such a terrible state to live in. It skews people's thought processes and puts them in a state of suspended animation until they realize that they have the power to change their own situation.
This is the most incongruent and callous statement I've ever read in the comment section of a video about domestic violence. When *judging* if someone is functioning with a mindset of learned helplessness it's highly subjective. That is simply not the case with DV. The reality is that not everyone has "the power to change their own situation" Trust and believe there are times when it's difficult enough to have the power to just survive by staying alive another day.
@djjones7226 Save it. I, too, dealt with a violent man from the ages of 15-19. The last time he hit me was the day I right hooked him in the jaw. Now, I get it, this is my unique situation, however, my point here is that this woman has given all her power away to her husband which is why she keeps saying "I can't" over and over. My point is that learned helplessness keeps a person in suspended animation and people in suspended animation are frozen and frozen people stay that way until they make the choice that they are no longer going to be frozen. What I've noticed since the time I left my ex was that there are two kinds of domestic violence victims. One group wakes up and says, no more and they take the steps to get themselves and kids out and do not wear the victim badge of honor. They tell their story in the hope the hope that it will motivate and empower others to get out. The other group stays in victim mode and take any suggestion that they actually do have power and can make choices for themselves as an insult. I'm in group #1. Your viewpoint is not the only viewpoint in existence.

"Save it."?? I survived a near fatal DV attack..it was, in fact, an assault in violation of a no contact/protection order. I sustained major and extensive injuries to include brain bleed, crushed pelvis, blown orbital rim. I was placed into a medically induced coma. But aren't you just a *strong, special, rare and unique woman* with your right hook, and all. Today, I assist those who have escaped to navigate the journey from victim to Survivor. I sincerely hope that you do not seek to "motivate and empower" women in any official capacity because it is abundantly clear that you have zero semblance of human compassion.

@@djjones7226sooooo grateful you are now safe (& physically healed, I hope). You are truly a gift to those you guide. Sending you hugs & blessings 🩷
Probably 83 IQ between the 2 Herring's.
Another lack of empathy for other comment.
WTH not one person including the judge offered to find someone or someway to help a clearly disabled & abused woman to get that vehicle moved? What a bunch of losers. The woman clearly wants to comply but all she gets is a FU. Un fricking real. But they will bend over backwards for convicted criminals. SMH
Did you watch the same video? The judge put it on hold for a week to try and figure out how to resolve the matter so there would not be an issue for the lady.
Listening skills are important.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that in 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.
Did anybody else find it humorous that Miss "Herring" has a "hearing" problem? 🥁🥁🥁
Not funny! The appalling nescience of your comment is concerning.
@@donna8357 You have no sense of humor. My deaf mother found it hilarious.
It’s a “read the room” comment.

Poor woman most likely lost her hearing having been yelled at for the last number of years.
