@Salt n Pepa to me, were the Rap equivalent of What Madonna was standing for at practically the same time. Yes I am a die hard @Madonna fan, but @Salt n Pepa were my jam also. They weren't afraid to express the "Controversial"issues that were needed to be heard at that time/era. What I do love and I'm sure I'll get some slack for saying this. But the dancing that Salt, Pepa & Spinderella were each doing with the 3 hot guys, is practically exactly the same routine that @Madonna had performed a year previous at her 1990 Blond Ambition world tour, to the then 90's upbeat version of Into the Groove!! Madonna with her legendary 2 back up singers/dancers @Donna Delory & @Niki Harris, doing the same dance routine. Me personally think, both @Madonna and @Salt n Pepa, were (still are) forces to be reckoned with. They stood for the same thing and most defo were not afraid to sing it out and Express(sion) themselves!!
