But do you think something like a Spellblade could work on this? The magic/melee hybrid combined with Hideous stench, could make for something quite interesting.

Maybe I missed this but I would love to see how you would take advantage of the tome of shades!
I did use it in my Dark variant for this build. Here I didn't, cause I didn't want to add a T3 and a T4 Skirmisher via Tomes into the Build.

Spellblade is definitely a good choice here. Due to the massive "native" support you are finally free to choose what you like on this build :D
