- MalaMala Safari Moments: Episode 14.
We enjoy a priceless morning with the cubs of the Island female leopard. The Piccadilly female with an impala kill. A southern Avoca male with a kudu kill.
...
From MalaMala Game Reserve to wherever you are in the world, we'll bring you moments from our daily safaris in one of Africa's most iconic private game reserves. This is essentially a continuation of our 'Rangers in Isolation' series which was filmed during the national Lockdown.
This is one stunning, remarkable, stunning male. Talking about full belly! The beautiful, exquisite leopardes and those adorable, gorgeous cubs who are a sight to watch are simply breathtaking. Thanks MalaMala and all who made this segment possible. Great Sighting!
Those leopard cubs gave you quite a sighting with their cute poses and playfulness. It must have been a hot one that since that Avoca was standing in the water for a drink and laying down by the banks. Thanks for this video.
❤️ Thank you as always ❤️
This video is Fantastic!!!Leopard cubs my favorite thing. 💞
Glad you liked it!! Thank you for watching!
Extremely Exciting. Complete bliss watching the Island Female’s cubbies playing. Very Very happy seeing the Piccadilly Female taking her little one to the kill. Southern Avoca looking great except for that eye that I can’t decide if that was a rival or prey injury. Thanks Guys as Always.
❤️ Thank you for watching!
It was very clever of the mother to bring her cubs to a tree beside rocks so they wouldnt have to worry about climbing at their age but could still practice getting in and out of the branches. Also the adult female was a huge Leopard, a fabulous coat. She looked as big as a Lioness.
2 beautiful leopard cubbies!💕
Thank you 🤗
Omg those cubs are just way too adorable two bundles of absolute joy...cuteness overload for sure
❤️ Thank you for watching!
@@MalaMalaGameReserve omw thank You for bringing our amazing bush to us in lock down.... watching the live bush safaris are so therapeutic during this time of so much angst around the world...
Superb MalaMala. Your sightings and videography are always outstanding! Those cubs on the rocks . . .
Thank you so much James 🙂 And yes - its a near-perfect den!
Lil cubs are so adorable having a lil fun.
😇
I could watch those Cubs all day every day. Thanks for sharing
You and me both!
Truly priceless indeed, seeing the Island female's adorable cubs looking bright eyed and alert. And honing their climbing skills on the branches. Fantastic having two females with cubs perpetuating the leopard species.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for watching!
Hey mala!!! Now if that isn't a beautiful sight. So adorable. Cubbies are just too cute. Playful bunch. And definitely a great hiding spot to camp out. Just a special occasion to see them. Island girl did well. Hopefully all goes well for them. Tysm for sharing ❣
We agree!!
Hello MalaMala team for this amazing view of the babies.
I also thought that Leopard mommy is so clever choosing the den site for her completely adorable babies. They're already practicing their incredible tree behaviour. Grow big and strong precious little darlings.
Thank you and God bless, xxx.
❤️
Leopards are almost too beautiful to bear. Such precious creatures.
Yes they are! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for putting a big smile on my face!! Excellent job!! The Piccadilly female is a big lady!! She looks awesome!! The cubs are so precious!! Well done🥰😍🦁🐆
Glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Those tubby little cubbies!! Just shows how early they start climbing on branches and trees. They are just heart-melting!
❤️
Great den site amongst the rocks. These cute litte cubs are small enough and flexible enough to squeeze into the many nooks and crannies and stay safe from predators. Incredibly beautiful sighting guys and great to see one of the Acoca boys too. He is looking huge and apart from something with his eye is looking pretty good. As always guys, awesome vid, many thanks. 👍👍
It is a near-perfect den Annette!
@@MalaMalaGameReserve They just have to watch out for snakes, no letting curiosity get the better of them.
At 7 or 8 years, that lion is in its prime condition. Thank you, MMGR
Thank you for watching!

Thank you for watching Jamal! These animals don't pose a threat to use if we're in our Land Rovers
Thank you MalaMala for sharing your amazing sightings and updates with us.

Little Leopard cubbies re so precious...loved the shot of the one cub just chilling out as he/she lay on the rocks...the Piccadilly female and her youngster look well..so does the Avoca male but his bad eye has to hurt. :)

C est la réalité ils sont tous très Beaux. ❤👑🙏
I love the leopard cubs. Always worry some lion will come along, or hyena
Hi Maxine - the biggest killer of leopard cubs is actually male leopards! The ones that are not the father of the cubs of course.
Beautiful videography of beautiful big cats and their cubs, especially. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much Ann!
Great practice by themselves and thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it

Hope both cubs can make it to adulthood
🤞🤞🤞🤞
A really lovely video...the cubs are amazing just playing time as normal and the Avoca lion looks great, the eye looks like a kick nothing else...you always rock, thank you so much for bringing such a beautiful scene!
Glad you enjoyed it Orestes and the pleasure is all ours!
S.Avocas are usally seen south of malamala in kirkmans kamp. suprised too see one of them a little north of their territory. Female leopard seems to be a great mother by raising 3 young cubs
Hi there. No, there territory does include the southern quarter of MalaMala - we allow 3 of the Kirkmans vehicles to drive on that section of our reserve - so a lot of their posts are actually on MalaMala. If you look at the map their territory goes as far north as the start of the Tjellehanga river and westwards to the sand river. Thank you for watching!
@@MalaMalaGameReserve ah ok thx for the info
Very cool when a leopard has twins they both have a pal to play with which a single cub can't enjoy. That lion at the end was suffering from severe " DUNLAP " disease ate so much his belly dunlaped below his rib cage 😃 Im glad you don't name your reserve animals gives the laymen out in cyber space the idea they are pets! Another killa vid 👐
😂
wow finally we see the Southern male !! just one ... it's a start 😉 I didn't know, that their territory was on Mala Mala ... he's really a handsome male, ❤️ he seems to be doing well, what is it? this eye ?? there is no wound on his body, it is already that .....
is there a baby boom right now it's the leopards? I think there are a lot of them .... better weather for us, it's too cute, we want to kiss them ❤️
nice video thank you 👍
Che piacere vederti👍Finally! you arrived😉nicely said mio amico, Ciao
Carolena Leoni yes I come, I leave ... 😉 when I have a moment 🙂
see you soon
Thank you for watching!
Who's believed to be the father for the Island Female Cubs? It's interesting that she tends to prefer rocky outcroppings as den sites although I dont think there are any better choices lol.
Thanks for the video MalaMala, cant wait to see if she keeps them in the eastern part of her territory in the coming week.
Hi Barry - either the Maxim's male (most likely) or the Accipiter male.
Leopard cubs so cute we be safe! Where is missing his brother southern lion male? Thank for the update and great video MalaMala 🙏
We're not sure Prem. We didn't go looking for him either - probably okay. Thank you for watching!
@@MalaMalaGameReserve oh! May I know this so sad, I feel love all lions! I will praying for them be peace carry on 🙏
what is the bird at 5:10 that makes the "boop-pooru" call? it's such a beautiful sound.
A Cape Turtle Dove. 😉 🐦
@@MalaMalaGameReserve thx so much
Thanks For Sharing....
Thanks for watching!
These 2 are Spunky.
☺️ Thank you for watching!
Son tan dulces estos bebés que dulzura parecen de peluche pero son muy vulnerables á ataques de otros animales
Seems the Southern Avoca have been fighting... he's not on his usual territory...It could have been Gowrie males or N'waswishaka/Ndzhenga males? Thanks for the beautiful video!
Hi there - He was within his territory. As for how he got injured - we can't say for sure.
@@MalaMalaGameReserve oh thank you! I didn't know they had part of their territory in Mala Mala too!
@@sauloel8 it is between Mala Mala and Tshokwane (( Rhino Walking Safaries ))
Hi Guys!
I hope the lil guys stay hidden from papa Lion 🦁. They are too cute ☺️
How all of you find what you do is like finding a needle in a haystack out there! I ❤️ leopards 🐆! That’s why one of my bedrooms is done in leopard print. It’s my go to this season. Maybe I can hide like they do wearing my leopard shirts 😂🤣😂🤣
Thanks again for a wonderful video ❤️
😂😂😂
I want some !!
You'll have to get by mom first! 😬
@@MalaMalaGameReserve No problem
Is the big male at the end missing an eye?
Nope - he just got a knock there - probably from a fight with another lion or something he was trying to kill.
Awesome video 👍🏼👍🏼 how many lion prides are Active in mala mala at the moment ??
Hi Chicago. Thank you for watching!
These are the prides we see on MalaMala:
Kambula (aka Ntsevu)
Nkuhuma
Torchwood
Marthly (Tsalala)
Fourways
Eyrefield (Sparta)
Sand River
Styx
@@MalaMalaGameReserve not ximughungwe?
MalaMala Game Reserve awesome thank you
Hi have you seen Sibuye's daughter Kupona Leopardess recently?
We have not...
Какие милые котята. Так и хочется их погладить.
What lovely kittens. I just want to stroke them.
Gracias
How did Avoca male hurt his eye? Fighting? Hunting? Anyone know?
We're not sure 🤷♂️
@@MalaMalaGameReserve Thank you. Male lions live a tough life of warfare, and hunting dangerous prey. They get into scraps with the prides they reign over during feeding. They fight with coalition members over females, and other outside males creeping into their territory. The only way anyone would know is if they'd seen what happened. I suppose that would have been a better question for me to ask. You're very kind to take the time to answer. Take care!
O áudio estragou tudo. Não é compatível com o local, mas gôsto.🇧🇷
Obrigado por assistir.
I wonder about the difference in personalities if they grew up without siblings.
Big cat Cubs all look so cuddly but they will eventually eat your face if you cuddle too long 😬
😂😂 Thank you for watching!
Cubs are cute, where’s mom?
Hey hey look what we have here, Island mommy and kiddies and Piccadilly Lady crossing Piccadilly Square with her baby hehe. This year we saw cool Flat an Kunyuma Production stuff. Could it bring peace to the leopard universe. Cheers ❤️
Thank you for watching!
Those Leopard cubs are beautiful..the Avoco male Lion.
Loos a bit tired to me?.
I know he has made a kill.
I just hope he is ok rangers?
I think he ate the whole kudu!
He's fine Daryl - just full!
Southern avoca lions are bigger than their northern brothers ! He was in his territory !! It wasn't in the Birmingham men's area.
The Southern Avoca,s are a lil bit older but u r right they are they got the bigget size
Thank you for watching!
This video’s got 666 likes.😂
The presence of another male lion in the region may signify that the reign of the Gowries is beginning to end?
Hi Esio - not quite. The southern quarter of MalaMala is part of the southern Avoca males territory. Thank you for watching!
mala Mala i remember the nat geo docs filmed there
Yes, hava a favorite?
Why not show those birds making noises
Not easy to film them!
The video title creates a misleading impression of cubs and lion coming near each other perhaps.
Thank you for watching!
Another misleading title! Make it seems like the lion and the cubs met. Clickbait!!
lincoln kingston Well, if you read the comments you’ll find that you’re pretty much alone in thinking that.
Great video MalaMala
