Paul if the lab equipment you have works it is worth some $$.
The round device with the one dial on top is a Variac autotransformer that is used to regulate AC voltage.
Commonly used to safely test older tube type equipment. Used with an isolating transformer and a current limiter.
The hot plate is used to warm and stir things in beakers or flasks. Using a small teflon coated magnet.
The device you called a "generator" is a variable DC power supply that has capability to vary the voltage and current to a load.
I also saw a high accuracy scale. And a temperature controlled water bath to keep solutions at a stable temp.
Amateur radio operators would love to have the Power supply and the Variac.
Chemistry students would love to have the water bath $120(new), hot plate $200 (new) scale $?

We called them cots in the army. Racks or bunks when we had the less portable beds in the barracks. I think my Navy grandson calls his berths.

As a kid we lived in the boonies and had a train at our back yard And now I moved to a different province and have a train just across the highway and I live in Saskatchewan where we dont change our clocks It's so nice to always have the same time and yes in the summer it's sunny at least 4:30am dark at close to 10pm

The cot is handy for when the inlaws come for a visit. Did the two doors cooler work?
I prefer daylight saving time. I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, doesn’t make any difference to me. Just leave one time or other would be nice.

I would rather stay on standard time all year get light early and not light at bed time also when they first go to daylight savings it's still dark when school bus drivers pick up the kids my daughter been driving school bus for years she hates it plus she could get all the animals fed and watered when light early

That was not a motor it is a variac and is probably almost half filled with copper
If you don't know what to do with them you should find yourself an electronics guy or a microscrapper he'll probably you better than the junkyard will

The motor shaped thing with the turning knob on iron is a variac. It's a variable transformer for changing its ac voltage output.

the thing with the big dial on it ,is a thing you plug into the wall then you plug , say a light into it and you use the dial to give the light more or less power with the dial [ if that makes sense ]
