- The day has finally come for Elijah to have his first ear surgery! We are not sure if he will need more but he is finally scheduled to have his ear tube surgery! He kept trying to say he wasn't nervous, then he was just a little nervous, then he wasn't nervous at all. Finally when we stepped into the surgery center he said..."I am super nervous". Watch this emotional journey for Danny, Tina, & Elijah. For all of you viewers who have grown to love Elijah and his awesome personality. This video will touch your heart and pull on some emotional cords.

yes I have had tubes twice and im 16 and do not have tubes now and for me the water in the ear feeling doesn't go away when the tubes come out

Tina, I so know how you felt when they wheeled Elijah away. I started to tear up for you!! My daughter had to have her thumb operated on and had to be put out also. Those tubes will help so much!! So glad all went well!! Have a fantastic weekend.

when my son was 3 DAYS old he was admitted to the hospital. They had to test him for meningitis. When they needed to do the spinal tap, I freaked out. They took him and I couldn't go in. I cried uncontrollably. I wanted to be there. He was fine, and I trusted the Dr, but that was my baby. I just wanted to be there.

+Colleen Mercer did it take a little for him to adjust? Elijah says he still feels a little "pluggy" but it's different. I am hoping it is justvthe adjustment period.

I had back surgery because my spine was curved pretty bad.

I have had 8 sets of ear tubs and I have always called them “ easy “ surgery’s but only because I have had a bake surgery so ye had I had a Spinal fusion surgery on October 21 2020 it was my 13 surgery and I’m 15
I'm getting ready to have surgery Thursday to fix my broken ankle I require pins crews and plates had 4 knee surgeries that required pins and screw's had 2 wrist surgeries which to plates had gallbladder removal surgery and finally had ovarian cyst removed ... please reply to this I freaking love you guys

ELIJAH NO CRYING CRYING HE HE HE MAKES . CALLUM WAS BORN HERE AT YOUR HOSPITAL ELIJAH
I was around his age if not a little younger when I got T-tubes put into my ears. I had tubes put in due to constant ear infections (got the so frequently that I got used to the pain), it didn't help that I had a small hole in my right ear drum, so I had some hearing loss from that. Then a few years later my ear doctor as well as my parents decided to remove the tubes as well as the top portion of my adenoid. Ever since then I haven't had as many ear problems (still moments were my ears will completely block on me, but nothing like an ear infection).
I've also had my eye doctor discuss with my parents about the possibility of me needing surgery on my eye due to Superior Oblique Tendon sheath Syndrome (Brown Syndrome), but luckily I have more of a mild case that you can't really notice unless I'm looking straight up.
Surgeries have always been nerve-wracking for me I've had multiple eye surgeries and one gallbladder removal this was a spend over my life from my childhood into adult surgeries can still be quite nerve-wracking for me even till this day. I will need to have cataract surgery sometime in the future and I'm pretty sure that will be nerve-wracking as well. I'm glad he did good with his surgery thanks for sharing God bless.
I'm so glad Elijah is doing well. Sometimes I think it's harder on the parents when a kid goes under than the kid. Was he already out of school? Bless you guys and your wonderful family.

Thanks for watching Priscilla! It wasn't that big of a surgery but the emotions still run a bit high because they are so mixed. We were so happy he was getting things taken care of, so nervous because we never really knew what to expect, sad that we couldn't go back with him. It was an emotional day but all has turned out ok. Thanks again for watching and following along with us.

Watch Tina punch Danny. LOL. You'll see Elijah, the going to sleep is the easiest part. I wanted to cry when he said he was really nervous when he got in there. What a strong kid! Doesn't it piss you off that they didn't catch this sooner? I'm watching the Arrow now. But I was a Big "One Tree Hill" junkie. The "100" is also a good show. And who doesn't love some Pretty Little Liars... my guilty pleasure. 🤣

I've had 3 eye surgeries. First was at 11 months old, second was at age 3, then the last was at 27.

I was born with strabismus which is essentially lazy eye. It was in both eyes. The first 2 surgeries my eyes where straight for a short period, then they reverted back, as well as I was also left with vocal cord damage from my breathing tube during one of those surgeries, which affected my speech. I can talk thankfully, just my voice is a little off sounding. The last surgery was successful. We choose to see a new specialist, only 2 where I live, one being the guy who did the first 2 surgeries and a new guy. I have had straight eyes for 3 years now.
dam I've had double hernia at 5 weeks then everytime I eat I threw it up at 6 weeks and I had 6 ears tubes also had ears pulled back, and I've had 5 eyes 1 lazy eye
Hello there I've had multiple eye surgeries myself it all started at age 6 when I sustained an eye injury to my right eye after that multiple surgeries followed throughout my life time my very last eye surgery was in August of 1993 surgery for me has always been a bit scary at nerve-wracking even into my adult life Moore eye surgeries to come as I will be having a cataract procedure sometime in the future and my left eye which is the only good eye that I can see out of partially my right eye is totally blind so I am considered to be legally blind. And I'm pretty sure I will be just as nervous as with all other surgeries that I've had till this day it's still a bit of an Isis moment for me when I have to undergo surgery.

Yes my seven year old daughter has had three ear suregery it's scary but she was fine .. now she is going to be having her tonsils out that's scary ... and I was in there until they put her to sleep it was the hardest thing for me I broke down .. hope you feel better buddy

Yes I have had surgery two on my right ear has tubes and left ear bad damage because my eardrum broke doctor say they can see thought brain then fix when I’m 10 years old so I wear two hear aid from 13 now 23.

This video made me nervous all over again. My son needed ear tubes. He unfortunately ended up with 5 sets! The last one left a little hole in the ear drum so we had to go back in to patch it up but I am so grateful to the team of drs we had. My son can definitely hear a lot better but from time to time his ear still holds fluids so he takes some meds to drain the fluid.

When I was younger I had to have tubes put in like four different times. I'm now 18 years and two years ago I started having trouble with my ears again. This is the only video I've seen of you guys but I hope all is going well with him and that everything. Worked out good. Family vlogs really aren't my thing i watched maybe two families on TH-cam but I'll definitely continue watching you guys ❤️

I had the same surgery as your son when I was younger had a cleft palette and the milk went into my ears. Had to have tubes in my ears and several surgeries when I was younger to protect your son ears you should get earplugs for him so that it will protect his ear drums and tubes. Overtime he takes a shower he should use the ear plugs and when he goes swimming in a pool or at the beach. This will help him cope with water getting into his ears and protecting the tubes that will help him. I have been wearing ear plugs and it protects my ears and does not irriatate my ears at all. Just a helpful tip for your son when he is getting tubes in his ears.

Aww bless him, he did so well. I guess he had what I know as grommets (little hole in the ear drum held open by a little plastic thing to equalise the pressure). Hopefully it will really help, it's such a common problem in kids, but they do thankfully generally grow out of it (I am an Audiologist in the UK BTW). He was so brave though, I had surgery last year and I was so nervous, I started crying as they put me under, I think just because it feels so weird and they had been running late so I been getting more and more worked up.

My dad is in surgery right now brain surgery he has a high chance of dying a 99 out of 100 and a 1 out of 100 of surviving its a really herd time for me my bro and mom my brothers name is Chris and I'm Ella he's comforting me we have my door closed cause moms crying and i ushely cry wean others cry so were staying in here I brot the guinea pigs my cat and my puppy just for more comfort but I'm scared I really don't want him to die mom took us home from the hospital she's planning on going back soon but me and chris are staying here because if I was thare I whuld have a stress atack were about to let the pup and cat out so we can play with the g pigs but its stressful #prayfordad

only every one operation done. it was for a ruptured achlies tendon and acl tear in my right leg after a freak accident playing football/soccer, i cant really remeber the actual injury since i apperantly blacked out from the excruciating pain in my leg, i was a good player too playing in a premier league teams academy(west ham united) my prospective pro carrer is over now. i love the sport but its a hard memory to think about.
He's a tough cookie! I tear up every time my kids get shots or have a surgery or something. Hard to see our babies like that. We want to take the pain away for them.

@@PHILLIPSFamBam yeah surgeries have always been scary for me even up until this day in my adult life I was so amazed by his quick recovery though how he was able to just walk out of the hospital after coming out of anesthesia I have never been able to do that I've always had to be wheeled out to the car I don't know why but with my body the anesthesia seems to want to linger every time I would come out of surgery they would want to get me up to walk and take a few steps and I was doing it but I was doing it like a drunk so they said nope let's get you a wheelchair.
