qled tech in a tv doesn't mean much for a night cinema session { main use case for most people }... if the tv doesn't have local dimming.. and hisense is the only company under 50k to have local dimming.. local dimming is so much useful when watching movies at night or in complete darknesss...

I use a VU masterpiece Glo Qled TV. Earlier i was using a VU LED TV which was good but this is exceptional. Suddenly, the brightness has turned into colours. You won't feel much pressure on your eyes and can enjoy the content with a fantastic picture quality. If you can't afford OLED or Sony x90k and above or samsung Qleds, go for this one. You won't regret. Being a VU customer for more than 8 years, i can say their quality and service is better than the other budget competitors.

  • @thecommonman4880

It looks the white balances of the two displays are different, one is on cooler side (QLED), one is warmer (LED). I do not know if this happened because of camera, post production or actual panels, but unless the white balances are matched, you cannot make any comment on quality. Eyes, ears prefer brighter colors, louder sounds which is an well-known fact. You have seen slightly cool blue pics and thought one is better than the other! First time commenting. I think you are the only TH-camr from India that is International quality. Marcus, Arun and you. Please take it as a feedback rather than criticism.

Also, both tvs are with different backgrounds with different lighting conditions. Ironically, his LED tv picture quality seems much better than the QLED one. Actually, the blaupunkt QLED picture quality is much inferior to that of VU or Hisense LED tv of the same screen size. Also, The VU or Hisense or MI qled tv of 50k price range has inferior picture quality to the SONY LED TVs of the same screen size.

Good video Beebom. But you need to mention more about the HDR performance, where nits and the number of dimming zones matter. You could get a good tv under 40k for SDR content but you need to spend more if you need a great HDR performance. Mini led tvs are a great starting point. You could do a video on the best mini leds based on value for money.

Dimming zones would only be applicable for Full-Array LED Displays (FALDs). I don't think any TV under 50k is FALD. Beebom did mention that peak brightness for all these TVs with the budget mentioned, is about 500nits. Higher budget premium models are the one that are FALDs with peak brightness around 800+ nits in 10% windows.

QLED is more of a tech upgrade which is called quantum dot and not much of a panel difference between older LED tech. OLED is a different panel alltogether n sits at the top as it doesnt need any LED backlight like LED or QLED TVs. IPS n VA are just different type of panels but QLED is not a type of panel.

    • @5150Amrit

As @thecommonman I would say for that peaky blinders scene that the qled has much blue and led a yellow tint making that difference and at every point that he said the qled's have much color i saw much vibrant colours in led tv they were more punchier than qled's which would be eye-pleasing.
Furthermore ,it is the brand that decides their screen color not the type of panel majorly(discluding the fact for oled's incomparable b&w contrast).so going with a good brand at same price rates ensures a better life time than cheap qled's.moreover the brand that appears here are nowhere heard in India like the famous samsung or Sony or mi .so u will always feel insecure abt ur choice of buying an unknown brand .this comment is not to for any offences rather a good suggestion to all buyers

comparing against good LED tv from samsung, sony or LG would have given a better comparision result. Also showing how SD and HD live channel would have shown how the upscaling works in these tv's(Most of the new TV brand sucks). Just getting a darker black doesn't mean it's a good tv , Dynamic range should be good. Companies increase the Saturation level and sell them as QLed TV, which loses lots of details on other colors. I would rather go with branded LED UHD tv's rather than so-called cheaper QLED TV's. Also TV's are one time investment(atleast used for 5-10years). Budget TVs uses mostly cheaper LED's which get dimmer over a short period of time. Better to check the youtube channels that specifically create contents related to TV, before buying TV's.

This is a good baseline but anyone comparing an LED vs QLED version needs to compare the specific model they are looking for. For example LED TVs have a same level of blacks tha QLEDs if the QLED is not equipped with local dimming. Which the cheapest models aren't. Also if the local dimming zones are really low count it may for some look even worse than without dimming zones.

I'm using an iffalcon 55 led TV from last 3 years, last year I switched the os to firestick 4k and trust me it's made the TV atleast 30% better than what it was including better quality audio, better fps and obviously the speed with user experience was enhanced, there is significant difference in quality. If you ask me if you already have an led TV switching to an oled won't make much of any difference in the budget range

Very informative content, I don't know why MI TV X series, oneplus etc (ordinary LED) is always the top tier in the list! There's a lot of QLED TV 's in the market, it has deeper blacks, good contrast ratio, I prefer VA panel instead of IPS panel, in today's standard no one is watching TV on extreme sides 😂QLED tv with full array local dimming with peak brightness of atleast 500 nits, supports HDMI 2.1,VRR, ALLM, MEMC etc is great. Never buy a TV because of great sound, buy a TV with good picture quality, sound can be upgrade using soundbar while bad picture can't be upgrade

    • @sathyaki

How can there be deeper blacks when any led is supposed to turn off the pixels when it comes to black? A turned off pixel should be same on a normal led and qled.

Due to genius marketing strategy the manufacturers have the LED TVs are different to that of LED Displays of phone! ( also the same for laptop display )
The LED term refers to a LED being the light source instead of traditional bulb or others.
QLED just adds another layer of "Q" ie Quantum Dot for the advantages the video mentioned
The perfect black can be seen only in OLED TVs ( eg LG C series )

Its brightness is way better than led and oled display
Got blacks like an oled display and the best part is it wont get screen burn issues like an oled so a Qled is a better option

I must say after 8 months of usage I'm still stunned by the performance picture quality & it's amazing sound with punchy bass Dolby Atmos effect. I swear this tv is so underrated that i think it's offensive to think about it. I don't understand why it doesn't get promotions apart from few reviewers . If you have the budget them going for a good Samsung, Sony or LG TV is not going to be a bad choice. Obviously u will get a realme or redmi tv with higher spec at a lower cost but the only thing you have to remember is the defence between a budget smartphone and a premium smartphone. In paper you will get a good deal on those budget ones and to be fair they are good , but getting a premium branded device means u will get good coustomer support, longer performance, brand value and overall a premium experience because you wouldn't be changing TV every 2 year's , so if u get a good device in the long run its a profit
