It's hard to get them to invest in a theatrical release when most idol anime movies get a 2 day theatrical release in the U.S. Non-shounen anime movies are kind of set to fail if they even make it to theaters.

EN will come out with something once the movie comes out globally. They will just not end up doing the code thing since it’s logistically impossible due to how many countries and continents the global server serves.
what im worrying about is the movie exclusive in-game cards that you can only get from collecting stamps at cinemas. setting aside the problem of *if* the movie will even get an international release, implementing the same stamp system globally will render the game's contents officially incomplete for some people. the problem with the global servers is that it really just groups every country that isnt jp/kr/tw together, so even if some cinemas in a few countries would show the movie, it would most definitely serve as a problem for the billions of players who live countries away from the next cinema that shows it. this makes it impossible for most people to ever get these cards, which is much more substantial than the problem of lacking in-game currency, which you could technically just buy with real life money. the movie problem contrasts this heavily as it is a way bigger financial liability for someone to travel long distances just for exclusive in-game items.
