Hi! Thanks for watching 😊 The Simplex is a fantastic beach machine if you know how to set it up and tweak it for the environment. The Legend will be more productive simply because it's a simultaneous multi-frequency machine. By it's very nature it'll find more targets. It's a lot deeper and very quiet on the wet. Otherwise they're very similar in terms of physical handing and ease of use. Hope that helps 😃
Always stick with the stock coil to begin with. I'd suggest at least 4-6 months. That way you can learn the machine itself rather than learning the machine AND a different coil. Once you're comfortable and confident, then you can experiment with alternative coils. The LG30 is a brilliant all-rounder coil for most locations 😊👍
My favourite coin I had two in one hole 🕳 both young bun Victoria can’t remember the dates without getting them out the case but both were 18? ? But looked new when I dug them out, it’s a lovely little coin
Hi Andy, I've found plenty of those. You need to listen out for a repeatable sound on a small target that the machine tries to reject. It won't be a convincing sound but it'll be consistently repeatable and the VDIs will be stable. That's how you know it's a modern coin with a steel core 😊👍
@@DTEKTSUSSEX I have tried that the trouble being one of the beaches I go to is infested with iron so as you have said maybe the new update will help I hope so as I loved the simplex but I am less impressed with the legend .but thank you for your help
It'll be a different sound to normal iron so you should be able to hear the difference. It's difficult to explain in a comment. The Iron Filter will definitely help you if you're still struggling. I love the Simplex too but once you understand what you're listening for you'll find the Legend better on these coins. My beach hunt from a few weeks ago shows the difference in sound on a 2p. I found loads of 2ps around the pier and after finding a few I was able to figure out the sound of the iron core and predict the target. Might be worth a watch 👍

Is there a reason you changed the stock coil for this 6” one? Is this your goto coil for all digging?

This was when I was still experimenting with the machine. For the beach I'd use the LG24 or LG30 now 👍
Mine came with LG30. I haven’t hunted before. Do you recommend I change the coil and if so, to LG24 or 35? Thanks for the quick response!

Hear is a challenge for you try finding new coins on the beach 1p 2p 5p and 10p pieces with the legend ! See if its possible as l struggle
