I've find quite a few old brass wandering the mountains... you always wonder their story... thanks so much for watching! check out my other films as well! i try no to disappoint!
I want to congratulate you for your persistence and taking 3 nice deer. It is typical for people to come to this high country from elsewhere and shoot mediocre bucks. Back in the day, though still hard work, there were many more bucks of this caliber plus bigger. All the shooters have been taking out the majority of the younger class. Glad to see someone come here and do it right.
there was a lot to choose from that year... that was right before that hard winter kill... I haven't been back since.. I know guys that have and the deer numbers are still quite a bit lower compared to that year.. but yeah thanks! we try to let em grow up a little!
I love and have watched many hunting videos and this is my first time i've watched a video from hard working hunters and i can honestly say hands down, this is a top quality video production with a good approach toward reflecting the beauty of nature and the respect for the animal through film with awesome taste. GREAT JOB!
kind words! thank you so much! be sure to check out my other films! i mean my older films art quite as good but i just keep getting better! again thanks for checking it out!
heck ya completely awesome great video great footage and great edits professional all the way loved the big bucks and that picture of the buck at night with the fading sunset man hell ya
Hah! The ole man got the coolest buck! That's the way it should be. Love the mass. But seriously all gorgeous bucks. I just watched part of a not nearly as good video and I agree with B Johnson, below. Nice job. The effort and the skill resulting in clean kills, and wonderful views of the country. Nice job.
thanks for checking it out! 700yd and 999yd... if you would take a moment to vote for it on the kuiu film fest i would greatly appreciate it! filmfest.kuiu.com/contestants/wyoming/ click on the link then click vote!
It would seem kinda hard for anyone to see an orange vest if only draped over the front of a hunter (no orange hat). Especially if they were laying down to take a shot at a bedded buck facing away from you (witch I'm hoping you were for the stability for such a difficult - and very well placed by the way - shot). It also kinda looked like your father didn't have any orange on at all (no hat at all) unless that was just a well posed edited-in clip. If it was, I would suggest making sure to wear orange next time to make it more realistic/legal looking.
Amazing video as always Zach. Congrats to all three of you on some stud bucks in some awesome rough backcountry! Looking forward to more films to come!
Outstand film man! I really enjoyed it. I watched your film from last year in Wyoming and I'd say this year top it. You've found a sweet spot to find some awesome buck, and your film work was fantastic.
yes and no... its tough to find water up high... but there is always water in the bottoms 1500 feet from where you want to hunt lol thanks for checking out the film!
Great job guys! The filmography is one of a kind! It's the little things that separate you guys from everyone else! Just a small example is the snow melting on the ground!! I'm looking forward to more videos in the future! I'm not exactly sure how the outdoor channel hasn't picked you guys up yet! If y'all ever have an open spot I'm always up for a good hunt! Just saying ;)
its a match grade arms custom built gun.. a 300 short mag... i wouldn't recommend getting a match grade built.. they are a great gun but their customer service is not what it used to be... but it you like the stock its a MPI stock... you can have one made for any gun! thanks for checking out the film

Quit shooting all the bucks I pass.. you don't have to kill the baby's.. just to kill! Let the life cycle max out.., then you shoot to kill the only mature buck on the mountain and continue the optimum life cycle.... Baby killers! Embrace the whole life cycle, not just the first 4/1/2 years of it! True conservataion, not just trophy's, but the total conservation of it!!! Please tell me you didn't also have doe tags to??? Don't decimate like the grey wolf, 50 years of conservation out the window... The last buck I ate from there aged 10/1/2 years old, tasted great and was at end of life cycle at 32/1/2 wide.. liver n wild Wyoming onions.. don't kill imature bucks or does... You said in the video that you were non res... How the hell did draw that nw tag 2 years in a row as a non res....$$$
You are to much about video game... Think total life cycle harvest survival and gratitude! A top Western States former guide... That is why I quit guiding people cause even d.i.y.. can't grasp conservation... They are just greedy fame hungry white eyes... What would a native do! Ask yourself that in your backyard!!!???

Awesome footage...Congrats
is it required to have a Orange Vest on? some clips y'all have them on and some you don't. please let me know... thanks
only a orange hat is required in WY... some of the footage was shot during archery season so it wasn't required to where... thanks for watching!
It would seem kinda hard for anyone to see an orange vest if only draped over the front of a hunter (no orange hat). Sweet video, looks like my backyard, region G. Keep em comin!
One heck of a buck. What did he end up scoring? I found him scouting last summer and was thinking he'd be pushing 190.

yep that was a good guess!! thanks for checking it out!
Epic
That 2nd shot; the other buck was just standing there like "wut the hell is billy doin' rollin' down the hill?"
